Liang Shuang invites her roommates, Jiang Xiaoguo, Luo Yan, and Duan Jiabao, to her studio for hotpot, where she plans to make an important announcement. Jiang Xiaoguo and Luo Yan see Liang Shuang and Xiaojuan featured on a magazine cover and are happy for her. Liang Shuang's grandmother also sees the magazine, calls Liang Shuang excitedly, and, after learning the truth about Xiaojuan, encourages her to pursue her aspirations but to carefully weigh the pros and cons.
At the hotpot dinner, Liang Shuang announces her decision to publicly disclose her true relationship with Xiaojuan. She explains that while faking a sibling relationship with Xiaojuan benefited her career, she feels the need to rectify the error and set an example for Xiaojuan, especially as Xiaojuan's lies have become increasingly skillful. Zhao Youxiu is deeply moved by her decision. Disclosing the truth means Liang Shuang's studio will disband.
Liang Shuang asks Zhao Youxiu about his future plans, and he mentions participating in the Silk Road Photography Competition, an opportunity introduced by Mr. Sun. After Zhao Youxiu leaves, Duan Jiabao asks Liang Shuang if the studio's disbandment is also due to their incompatibility as colleagues. Liang Shuang remains silent, but Duan Jiabao expresses understanding, stating she would have made the same choice to support Liang Shuang and Zhao Youxiu. Duan Jiabao and Liang Shuang reconcile.
Following Liang Shuang's self-disclosure, previous advertisers terminate their contracts, resulting in substantial penalty fees. She applies to an MCN, planning to restart, and assures her worried roommates that she has adjusted her mindset. She contacts Zhong Le, a former agent from Mr. Wu's company, who has since joined a friend's MCN and offers to introduce her.
Liang Shuang eventually secures a job designing clothes at a company recommended by her former agent. Meanwhile, Zhao Changming's affair devastates Zhao Cheng, who runs away from home. Qu Wan fears contacting Zhao Cheng, concerned about further upsetting him. Qu Wan decides to divorce Zhao Changming, enlists a lawyer to draft the divorce agreement, and presents it to him.
Zhao Changming attempts reconciliation, but Qu Wan is firm in her decision, especially as Zhao Cheng also wants his parents to divorce. Zhao Changming is surprised to learn of Zhao Cheng's consent. Duan Zhenyu is leaving for Germany for training. Duan Jiabao escorts him to the airport, where they find Jiang Xiaoguo, who has just finished an interview and rushed there. Jiang Xiaoguo, feeling guilty about their previous abrupt parting, wants to bid Duan Zhenyu a proper farewell.
Duan Zhenyu reassures her not to feel guilty, stating that while he doesn't blame her, he needs some time to recover. They share a hug and formally say goodbye. Jiang Xiaoguo asks Duan Jiabao about her future plans, including whether she will continue working as a manager. Duan Jiabao admits she hasn't thought it through but has enrolled in a public welfare organization's volunteer program, intending to use the experience to reflect on her life.
Her roommates are surprised by this news. Duan Zhenyu later asks Duan Jiabao if her decision to volunteer is due to a breakup, but she ends the call without answering. Luo Yan's job search is successful, with several companies interested in hiring her. She chooses to work at an amusement park. After a day of touring with the director, she returns home to eat with her mother, enjoying the meal.
She sees children playing in bee raincoats at the amusement park, which brings Lu Ran to mind. After completing her orientation training, Luo Yan has a month of rest and suggests to her mother that they travel abroad together. Jiang Xiaoguo expresses her preference for wholehearted relationships and, consequently, rejects Zhou Xun due to his work-centric focus. She then excitedly attends her interview at Lanhe and successfully secures a position there, embarking on a new life.
One day after work, Director Ding stops Jiang Xiaoguo downstairs and, during dinner, informs her that BuyBox is establishing its headquarters in Shanghai as it grows, and Zhou Xun will be leaving Puling to become CEO there. Director Ding tells Jiang Xiaoguo that Zhou Xun's flight is at 4 PM, subtly hinting she should see him off. While having dinner with Rebecca, Jiang Xiaoguo also learns that Zhou Xun is leaving Shenzhen for Shanghai.
She considers seeing him off but ultimately decides not to go, instead sending him a farewell text message. At the airport, Su Hang bids farewell to Zhou Xun and, noticing Zhou Xun's hopeful expression, advises him to pursue Jiang Xiaoguo again. Zhou Xun states he will do so once he has settled in. One night, the four roommates of dorm 419 are sleepless and begin chatting.
Jiang Xiaoguo reflects on how much everyone has changed over their four years of college, having shared many experiences, and expresses a sense of melancholy as graduation is imminent. During the preliminary defense notification meeting for graduation theses, the students of 419 eagerly discuss their post-graduation plans. Gu Jia, Zhong Xiaoqin, and Wang Manni, who had discreetly entered the classroom, smile at their complaints. The graduation thesis defense is successfully completed, bringing joy to the students of 419.
Later, the four friends gather for dinner at Same Place. After Xiong Zhi departs, Duan Jiabao notes that the food isn't as good as before. They reminisce about their college days, recalling various past events, including how Liang Shuang once used a secondary account to help Luo Yan counter online harassment. Liang Shuang sincerely apologizes to Luo Yan, who, along with the others, is deeply moved. As they continue chatting, their happiness grows, and they drink increasingly more. Eventually, the four friends, thoroughly drunk, emerge from Same Place, supporting each other as they make their way back to the dorm.
