Director Ding clarified that the goal was not the content of the conversation but to create an impression of familiarity between Pruling and Ma Dongsheng among other investors. When other investors, curious about their happy chat, inquired, Director Ding falsely stated they discussed Pruling's upcoming investment projects, successfully piquing their interest. Jiang Xiaoguo and her colleagues were both surprised and impressed by Director Ding's fundraising strategy.
Director Ding then tasked Jiang Xiaoguo and two colleagues to contact the forum's investors, inviting them to Pruling's fundraising roadshow in hopes of securing funds. Zhou Xun, concerned about her descending in the dark, appeared and pretended to also be leaving, joining her.
As they chatted, Jiang Xiaoguo accidentally missed a step, and Zhou Xun quickly caught or embraced her. He escorted her downstairs. Zhou Xun then offered to call a taxi for her back to school, but Jiang Xiaoguo preferred to walk, hoping to see meteors, the romance of which Zhou Xun did not understand.
After saying goodbye, Jiang Xiaoguo saw Zhou Xun return to the office building to continue working overtime, realizing he had specifically walked her down out of concern, which touched her. While camping at Yangmei Valley, Lu Ran, who had been distracted all day, proposed to Luo Yan that they move to Beijing together and rent an apartment to live their simple life as a couple. Lu Ran nervously awaited her reply, but Luo Yan happily agreed without hesitation.
While strolling by the sea (or at a star-gazing base), Liang Shuang encountered Zhao Youxiu, who was preparing to photograph meteors (or just photographing meteors). They immediately began arguing. Zhao Youxiu, taken aback by her apology, advised her not to be angry with Duan Jiabao, even if she was angry with him. He read aloud WeChat messages Duan Jiabao sent him, reinforcing Liang Shuang's regret. Liang Shuang admitted her deep regret over arguing with Duan Jiabao, who had always handled things and apologized to clients on her behalf. As they talked, a meteor shower began (or meteors fell).
Liang Shuang immediately stopped talking (or closed her eyes) and bowed her head to make a wish. Zhao Youxiu regretted not having taken any photos (or was moved by her seriousness). He draped his jacket over her and quickly pulled out his phone to photograph her devoutly wishing. Jiang Xiaoguo and Luo Yan informed Liang Shuang that Duan Jiabao had been on the verge of breakdown for days. In front of Jiang Xiaoguo and Luo Yan, Liang Shuang solemnly apologized to Duan Jiabao. Duan Jiabao, initially sulking, soon embraced Liang Shuang and cried, and they reconciled.

Jiang Xiaoguo played Zhou Xun's favorite old song, "My Heart Is Pounding." Su Hang mistakenly (or directly) revealed it to be Director Ding (Rebecca) and Zhou Xun's "love song," indicating they were once a couple. Jiang Xiaoguo felt lost and saddened. Su Hang handed the microphone to Jiang Xiaoguo, who awkwardly sang a few lines. Zhou Xun, sensing the extreme awkwardness or seeing Jiang Xiaoguo's dejection, immediately cut the song.
