Zhou Xun thanked her, acknowledging her messages, but immediately warned her that he would hold her to higher standards, which Jiang Xiaoguo promised to meet.
Later, when Zhou Xun praised her, she requested a reward, and he gifted her his pen. During lunch, Wendy confided in Jiang Xiaoguo about her feelings for Mr. Su and inquired if Jiang Xiaoguo harbored any feelings for Zhou Xun, to which Jiang Xiaoguo responded that she only cared about her salary. Jiang Xiaoguo attended a fencing team celebration with Duan Zhenyu.
She discovered that Duan Zhenyu, to secure help for her questionnaire, had bribed his teammates with "King's World" game skins, a gesture that deeply touched her. Cindy arranged a meeting for Liang Shuang and Duan Jiabao with Mr. Jin regarding a promotion deal. Duan Jiabao then presented Liang Shuang with the Oushang Children's Wear contract, which stipulated that both Liang Shuang and a young boy must star in the advertisement together as a "sibling CP." Initially, they were at a loss on how to find the specific child required. However, while shopping, they coincidentally spotted the boy, Xiaojuan, with his brother, Zhao Youxiu. They quickly approached them and invited them to dinner.
Zhao Youxiu, who identified as a humanist photographer but was in reality an ordinary photographer, initially misunderstood Liang Shuang's intentions. Liang Shuang clarified that she wished for Xiaojuan to collaborate with her. They also learned that Zhao Youxiu and Xiaojuan were half-brothers. Despite Zhao Youxiu being in financial hardship, he maintained an illusion of prosperity to his parents, and his father, unsuspicious, allowed him to continue caring for Xiaojuan. Duan Jiabao managed to obtain Zhao Youxiu's contact information from Xiaojuan while Zhao Youxiu was working, and she subsequently called him to arrange a meeting.
Duan Jiabao and Liang Shuang later met with Zhao Youxiu and offered him a monthly salary of 18,000 RMB to work as their photographer.
