Liang Shuang's video, featuring her "irritable image" as a beauty blogger, was plagiarized by another beauty blogger, Huang Xiaosan. The advertiser, Online, decided to switch their promotional work to Huang Xiaosan, greatly angering Liang Shuang. She decided to tackle the problem with Duan Jiabao, with each going their separate ways: Duan Jiabao went to investigate Huang Xiaosan, while Liang Shuang, wearing Online's sample clothes, went directly to their manager, Mr. He, to reclaim the job based on her own merits.
Duan Jiabao confronted Huang Xiaosan at the gym. Huang Xiaosan initially denied the plagiarism, but after revealing a flaw in her denial, she became defiant, shamelessly admitting to copying and challenging Duan Jiabao to sue her. Duan Jiabao then revealed she had recorded the entire confession. Huang Xiaosan panicked, snatched Duan Jiabao's phone, and threw it to the ground, but Duan Jiabao stated she had already sent the recording.
Meanwhile, Liang Shuang went to Online and met Mr. He, playing the recording Duan Jiabao had sent her. However, Mr. He dismissed the evidence, stating that Online cared more about a blogger's follower count; Huang Xiaosan had a million followers, while Liang Shuang only had 150,000. He also questioned the recording's authenticity and claimed he couldn't determine if Huang Xiaosan had truly plagiarized.
Angered by Mr. He's stance, Liang Shuang declared she would no longer collaborate with a company that did not value its reputation and couldn't produce quality clothes. Mr. He retaliated by deliberately making things difficult for her, demanding she remove the sample clothes she was wearing before leaving, or buy them. Liang Shuang initially considered borrowing money from Duan Jiabao, but her phone had been broken and she hadn't seen Liang Shuang's message.
With no other option, Liang Shuang removed the clothes, leaving in her slip dress. This humiliating scene was witnessed by Chen Zhuo, who was at Online to discuss business. He chased after Liang Shuang, finding her shivering on the roadside, and draped his coat over her. Chen Zhuo then took Liang Shuang to a mall, buying her new clothes, shoes, and a bag. Moved by his gesture, Liang Shuang suggested they have coffee.
During their conversation, Chen Zhuo confessed he still deeply missed Liang Shuang. He explained that he had partnered with friends to open an MCN company for two reasons: to pursue his own ventures, free from his father's constraints, and to create an opportunity to reunite with Liang Shuang, knowing she was in the same industry.
As Chen Zhuo drove Liang Shuang back to her dorm, he proposed that she return to him, promising to use all company resources to promote her, secure advertisements and endorsements, and allow her to take breaks as she wished—everything would be according to her desires. He dropped her off at the dorm, inviting her to his company's press conference the following day, where he would formally introduce her to the national media.
He urged her to consider his offer and promised to pick her up. Duan Jiabao, whose phone had been broken by Huang Xiaosan, returned to her dorm and, after replacing it, finally saw Liang Shuang's message asking for help, and that Liang Shuang was waiting for her at Online. As Duan Jiabao headed out, she saw Liang Shuang and Chen Zhuo together at the dorm entrance. Liang Shuang recounted Chen Zhuo's offer, stating she had "seen the cruel reality."
Duan Jiabao, despite understanding Liang Shuang's difficult situation, tried to dissuade her, warning her not to trust Chen Zhuo and expressing her strong disapproval of Liang Shuang becoming "the other woman." Liang Shuang, however, claimed Chen Zhuo was not married and was willing to break up with his current partner for her, but Duan Jiabao did not believe him, convinced he was lying. Liang Shuang pondered the offer throughout the night.
The next morning, as Liang Shuang prepared to leave, Duan Jiabao, who had been observing her, tried to block her, asking if she would ever return. Liang Shuang pulled away from Duan Jiabao and left without answering. Duan Jiabao followed her to the elevator.
Liang Shuang proceeded to Chen Zhuo's company press conference, where Chen Zhuo had arranged for the art director, Ada, to guide her through the proceedings, mentioning he had added a special segment overnight to grandly introduce Liang Shuang to the national media. However, at the event, Liang Shuang observed her surroundings and her "unfamiliar self" in the mirror, then made a decision. She rushed to the restroom, took off the clothes Chen Zhuo had bought for her, and returned them.
Meanwhile, Wang Zhongye, Amanda, and Jiang Xiaoguo went to a fresh food company for an investigation. Remembering Zhou Xun's method for counting vehicles during a previous inspection, Jiang Xiaoguo suggested personally tallying the cold storage inventory. Wang Zhongye immediately recognized this method as something Jiang Xiaoguo learned from Zhou Xun. He approved her idea and assigned her the task. Wang Zhongye and Amanda proceeded to discuss cooperation with the company's senior management.
Later that night, as their discussions concluded, Amanda wanted to leave with Jiang Xiaoguo, but Wang Zhongye told her not to rush Jiang Xiaoguo, leaving her to finish alone. After finally completing the inventory, Jiang Xiaoguo realized she had left her phone in the cold storage. When she went back inside to retrieve it, staff members, assuming she had already left, closed the cold storage door.
Trapped inside the minus ten-degree Celsius cold storage, Jiang Xiaoguo tried to call for help, but her phone froze and shut down. During team training, Duan Zhenyu learned from his coach that he would be replacing someone, finally securing a spot in a team competition. Thrilled to return to the field, he immediately called Jiang Xiaoguo to share the good news. Coincidentally, Jiang Xiaoguo's phone powered back on and she answered.
Upon learning that Jiang Xiaoguo was trapped in the cold storage, Duan Zhenyu rushed to rescue her. In the car, Duan Zhenyu voluntarily covered Jiang Xiaoguo's hands to warm them, though she awkwardly withdrew her hand. Jiang Xiaoguo told Duan Zhenyu that his "spring would definitely come" now that he could return to the field, and he replied that her "spring would also come." Luo Yan ignored a phone call from her mother.
Later, while Luo Yan was talking to Lu Ran on the phone in the dorm, Duan Jiabao returned, prompting Luo Yan to quickly hang up. Luo Yan subsequently received a call from Zhao Changming, who invited her out to talk. Luo Yan met with him and asked how he and her mother had met and how long they had been together.
Zhao Changming explained that he and Luo Yan's mother had known each other for many years, and she had helped him and his company overcome numerous difficulties, always supporting him during his struggles.
