After Shao Beisheng helps Shen Zhengyi with her skating technique, she reminds him not to touch her hand, citing their contract. Amused, he challenges her to a race. Later, he uses a curling match to explain speed skating strategies, detailing how to accelerate, control turns to create openings, and observe opponents to anticipate their moves. Shen Zhengyi resolves to apply these lessons.
Her practice with the youth team improves dramatically, and Coach Zhuang Yue, after observing her progress, permits her to resume training with the main team. At home, Shen Zhengyi's mother grows concerned after discovering large bruises on her daughter's leg. Shen Zhengyi dismisses them as a clumsy accident, lying that she bumped into her bed's ladder, and attributes her increased appetite to jogging with Zhu Lele.
Although her mother is worried and reminds her to prioritize safety, Shen Zhengyi is simply thrilled she can finally train on the ice. Meanwhile, Zhu Lele joins the Drama Club, drawn in by a flyer featuring handsome members. She is disappointed to meet the actual members but is intrigued by the prospect of meeting the club president. However, when she discovers the president is Qu Zhi, who she feels tricked her, she tries to quit.
Desperate to recruit a female member to prevent the club from being shut down, Qu Zhi and the others persuade her to stay by promising her the sole female lead role. Shen Zhengyi returns to the dorm to share her good news about resuming training, but finds Zhu Lele upset over being misled by the Drama Club. Later, during a group run, Shen Zhengyi falls after her ankle gives out.
While Shao Beisheng cautions everyone not to move her, Xiao Han rushes to her side and carries her to the infirmary. In the infirmary, after a doctor confirms the injury isn't severe, Shen Zhengyi thanks Xiao Han, believing he was the one who saved her when she previously fell into a lake. Xiao Han clarifies that it was actually Shao Beisheng who rescued her. Just then, Shao Beisheng arrives.
After confirming she is fine, he abruptly picks her up and carries her away, scolding her for getting close to another man while she is supposed to be his girlfriend. Later, Shen Zhengyi asks him about the lake rescue and is mortified to learn that he performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on her, realizing he was her first kiss. Shao Beisheng asks Shen Zhengyi to help him get tickets for a musical for Qu Zhi.
Despite her best efforts, she fails to secure them. Later, Shao Beisheng procures the tickets himself and gives them to Shen Zhengyi, pretending they were an unwanted gift. A confused Shen Zhengyi then hands the tickets over to a delighted Qu Zhi. At the Drama Club, Zhu Lele's over-the-top audition makes the members so uncomfortable that Qu Zhi suggests they try a mime play instead.
Suspicious of their relationship, Zhu Lele confronts Shen Zhengyi, pointing out that she doesn't even know Shao Beisheng's specific food habits. She also notes how strange it was for Shen Zhengyi to work so hard to get tickets without knowing they were for Qu Zhi. Under pressure, Shen Zhengyi confesses their relationship is fake.
Furious on her friend's behalf, Zhu Lele finds Shao Beisheng and calls him a liar, berating him for letting Shen Zhengyi put in so much effort for him while he was just using her.
