To celebrate successfully completing their first month at the Chuanhe Branch, Jin Lailai invited her colleagues to a meal. Ye Kai jokingly suggested a very expensive restaurant, prompting Shao Moli to remind him about group chat etiquette. An Yu proposed a picnic instead, which everyone enthusiastically agreed to, as it had been a while since their last one.

Lailai diligently prepared a wide array of items for the picnic, emphasizing the significant cost of renting all the equipment and jokingly telling Ye Kai that she would have Shao Moli reimburse her. Lailai, who regularly consulted horoscopes, offered to read everyone’s fortunes. Ye Kai, a Leo, was told he would encounter significant romantic opportunities this month, with a chance to turn a friend into a lover, which delighted him.

Lailai then consulted Shao Moli’s horoscope, revealing that as a Gemini, he would experience a breakthrough in his self-competence at work and advance to a new stage. Finally, for An Yu, a Sagittarius, the horoscope predicted an inexplicable sense of unease during the first half of the month and a sudden romantic surprise, advising her to pay attention to those around her. Ye Kai found the prediction for An Yu particularly accurate.

During the picnic, everyone enjoyed barbecuing, taking photos, and dancing around a bonfire. Ye Kai was caught secretly photographing Lailai, leading to a playful chase. Later, An Yu and Shao Moli sat down to watch the stars, discovering they could see the bright night sky perfectly with their naked eyes, without any instruments. An Yu pointed out the brightest star, which Shao Moli identified as Sirius. He asked if she remembered the story of Sirius.

An Yu recalled hearing that Sirius was the guardian of the night sky, twinkling to warn humanity of dangers like aliens or monsters, but couldn't remember who told her. Shao Moli then asked if she remembered who told her, to which An Yu humorously replied, "Harry Potter," likely referencing Sirius Black from the series, which surprised Shao Moli.

(In a flashback, Shao Moli himself had told a young An Yu that Sirius was the brightest star besides the sun, a guardian that twinkled to warn humans of enemies like aliens and monsters). Lailai then shared the amusing story of how Ye Kai and Shao Moli first met.

Ye Kai, a newcomer to a foreign country, caught a large bucket of Florida stone crabs, unaware that local regulations permitted keeping only one claw, with the rest to be released to avoid arrest. Shao Moli, spotting police, quickly dumped all of Ye Kai's crabs back into the sea to prevent his arrest, which initially made Ye Kai think Shao Moli was bullying him. Their friendship solidified later when Shao Moli came to Ye Kai's rescue in the school canteen.

Ye Kai had accidentally spilled soup on a classmate, who, with his rugby team, cornered Ye Kai and demanded he kneel to clean the mess. Shao Moli intervened, standing up to the bullies. He explained that he acted out of righteousness, having been inspired by a timid person who had once protected him when he was young. This intervention led to a fight that left Shao Moli with a scar.

Ye Kai, deeply moved, declared Shao Moli his best brother and vowed to always protect him in return. The four friends then raised their glasses, toasting to their enduring friendship. Back home, while An Yu was playing with her cat, Zhou Yuan called to inform her that he was downstairs to return some of her old belongings. An Yu went down, retrieved the items, and left quickly, unwilling to say much.

Zhou Yuan then asked if she had received the photos of Yiyi he had sent, remarking that Yiyi was looking more and more like her. An Yu affirmed that Yiyi was her child and naturally resembled her. The items Zhou Yuan returned, possibly related to her father's work, brought back a flood of memories for An Yu, recalling a time when her father had told her to leave company financial matters to him, assuring her he always granted her wishes.

Zhou Yuan expressed his happiness to see her doing well, to which An Yu simply said, "Thank you." Later, as An Yu walked along, talking on her phone, Shao Moli secretly followed her. An Yu was about to call him anyway, and as she was speaking, she almost tripped on the stairs. Shao Moli quickly rushed forward, admonishing her to be more careful and hold the handrail to avoid falling.

Realizing his "overbearing CEO" persona didn't quite suit him, he laughed at himself and declared he would stick to being a "helpful neighbor." He also checked if her foot was alright. An Yu and Zhou Min went to the gym, but Zhou Min quickly grew tired after the warm-ups. An Yu had invited Shao Moli to be their sparring partner, who was introduced as an "all-around training partner." They had fun boxing.

During their session, Zhou Min mistakenly assumed Shao Moli was An Yu's boyfriend, commenting on his good qualities. Shao Moli first agreed with her "good taste," but when Zhou Min added, "besides being average-looking," Shao Moli playfully defended his appearance and asked if Zhou Min had any aesthetic appreciation. An Yu then told Shao Moli that she needed to go to work for her shift, unlike his freedom from financial constraints. Shao Moli offered to accompany her further.

Meanwhile, Mi Lu picked up Yiyi from school and overheard other parents gossiping about her being Yiyi's stepmother. Upset by the comments, she complained to Zhou Yuan, expressing concern that the children might be influenced and judge Yiyi. Zhou Yuan, however, dismissed her worries, stating that Yiyi was a boy and needed to adapt to society, emphasizing that Yiyi would eventually learn the truth about their family situation.

He offered to move Yiyi to a different kindergarten if she was truly worried, but Mi Lu declined, noting that Yiyi would soon start primary school anyway. Later, Mi Lu called Xu Jingya, instructing her to "take action." Concurrently, An Yu helped an old lady find her way home after work. That night, Xu Jingya secretly tampered with An Yu's computer data.

Concurrently, Ye Kai discovered that Hongxin Telecom, a company Lin Zhanhong had been seeking collaboration with, was also located in Chuanhe. Shao Moli confirmed that he had strategically chosen this location not only to generate leads for An Yu's business but also for market research purposes related to Hongxin Telecom. Ye Kai, observing Shao Moli's actions and his blushing, suspected that his feelings for An Yu extended beyond mere gratitude and that he might be in love with her.

Shao Moli dismissed the suggestion and silenced Ye Kai by jokingly asking if he still wanted a pay raise. The grand opening of Sirius Finance quickly followed. Zhou Yuan sent a Guiana chestnut plant as a congratulatory gift, commending Shao Moli's bold choice of location. News reporters gathered, questioning Shao Moli and Ye Kai about the unusual decision to open a financial store so close to Zhuoyue Finance and the significance of the name "Sirius," implying a competitive move.

Shao Moli welcomed the public but enforced a strict entry policy: queuing and completing a detailed form before entering. At Zhuoyue Finance, the employees only learned about Sirius Finance's opening when customers complained about the lengthy forms required at the new store. Xu Jingya seized the opportunity to publicly accuse An Yu of being Shao Moli's spy and of having an improper relationship with him, questioning if An Yu knew about the competing store beforehand.

Lailai vehemently defended An Yu, asserting that they were merely friends. Angered by the accusations and the secrecy, An Yu and Lailai confronted Shao Moli. An Yu demanded to know his true intentions, why he opened a store there, and why he kept it a secret. Shao Moli denied trying to compete, even suggesting he might send them business. He then provocatively offered to close his store if they were "scared" enough to beg him.

Outraged, An Yu refused to beg and challenged him to a competition, stipulating that the loser would have to unconditionally grant the winner one request. An Yu declared she would think carefully about the price he would pay. As they left, Shao Moli told a worried Ye Kai that he had already learned how to win and now needed to learn how to lose.

Meanwhile, at Sirius Finance, despite the strict questionnaire process, some customers found it too inconvenient and decided to visit Zhuoyue Finance next door instead. Ye Kai, however, explained to the staff that this was a deliberate "hunger marketing" strategy, as they aimed to "pick their clients."
