Yang Yun is busy overseeing preparations for the ballet performance, asking about Xiaoyao and Joey who were in the dressing room. She learns Xiaoyao left, causing Joey to look for her. Xu Tian is running late, so a ticket is left for him at the front desk. He arrives and retrieves the ticket. Old Shi, who is with Xu Tian, is enthusiastic about the performance.
He takes pictures with the principal dancers, Xiaoyao and Joey, and then captures a photo of Xu Tian, Xiaoyao, and Joey together. During the performance, Xu Tian sits with two tickets, leaving the seat beside him empty initially. Shi Diandian arrives later and takes the seat next to him. The ballet captivates the audience. Separately, Zhao Gang waits in a plaza at Qiao Guanghui's instruction.
He becomes frustrated when Qiao Guanghui and Song Guanwang arrive late and attempts to leave, but Qiao Guanghui stops him. Xu Tian and Shi Diandian also join them at the plaza. Xu Tian spontaneously runs into the crowd to dance, while Shi Diandian talks with Song Guanwang. Song Guanwang tells Shi Diandian that relationships aren't easy and advises her to treat Xu Tian well. Later, Xu Tian joins Song Guanwang.
Song Guanwang remarks that he reminds her of her son and tells him to find happiness with Shi Diandian. Qiao Guanghui announces publicly that he and Song Guanwang are officially together. He then challenges Zhao Gang to dance as a way to celebrate. Zhao Gang is initially reluctant, finding the idea demeaning, but eventually embraces the performance wholeheartedly, drawing everyone's attention as Qiao Guanghui cheers him on.
As Xu Tian and Shi Diandian prepare to leave, Song Guanwang tells Xu Tian that Shi Diandian remembered her instantly. This leads Xu Tian to suspect that Shi Diandian never actually lost her memory regarding him either. During their drive home, Xu Tian presses Shi Diandian, asking if she remembered or if she never forgot in the first place.
Shi Diandian responds evasively, suggesting that meeting him was both fortunate and unfortunate because they had met before, and she seemingly forgot. She implies that not forgetting is the real issue and makes comments about whether he likes the version of her from the past three days. Xu Tian directly asks if she hasn't forgotten anything and if she came to Beijing specifically to find him.
She doesn't give a direct answer but hints that she feels he has divided her into two people and implies her "old self" has returned. Shi Diandian gets out of the car before Xu Tian and goes into the building first. Inside their home, Shi Diandian is visibly anxious as she waits for Xu Tian. She calls someone she refers to as "Mom" and confesses her fear of losing Xu Tian forever.
She reveals that when Xu Tian first arrived in Beijing, she had decided to forget him, but awoke the next day remembering everything. She admits she came to Beijing and planned everything deliberately because she didn't want to lose him. However, she worries that Xu Tian only likes the person she's been for the past three days and that he, like herself, dislikes the "old" Shi Diandian. Later, Xu Tian arrives home carrying a cake.
Shi Diandian seems flustered and starts tidying up. Xu Tian surprises her by turning off the lights and lighting candles, revealing he was late because he went to buy a cake for her birthday. Shi Diandian makes a wish by the candlelight, reflecting on how meeting Xu Tian brought color into her life.
As they share the cake, she confesses the truth: she remembers everything, including their journey to Beijing to find Zhou Tong and her worry about Wen Xiaoyao, which led her to pretend to forget and call Wen Xiaoyao to Beijing. She admits she wished she "could" forget, but couldn't bear the thought of losing him.
Xu Tian reassures her, telling her she doesn't need to overthink things and that he loves both the person she was before and the person she is now. Some time afterward, Xu Tian visits Zhou Tong's grave. He updates his friend, sharing that Wen Xiaoyao and Joey are now starring dancers in the ballet company's new show and dance beautifully. He mentions that Song Guanwang is happily together with Mr. Qiao and that they are both doing well.
Xu Tian tells Zhou Tong that he has married Shi Diandian. He reflects on how they, two individuals who grew up without mothers, have found mutual support and genuine love with each other, and that they are going to be alright.
