He spoke about accepting gains and losses calmly, letting go of things that were never truly yours, finding peace in impermanence, and how desperately wanting something unobtainable leads to daily uncertainty. Meanwhile, Xu Tian and Shi Diandian arrived in Beijing. They took the subway to their hotel after their planned ride-sharing vehicle broke down. Shi Diandian remarked that their relationship seemed to be progressing very quickly, noting they hadn't even had a proper date yet. Xu Tian suggested they could make up for it later and admitted he was a "blockhead." Shi Diandian replied that she liked him just the way he was.
After exiting the subway, Xu Tian and Shi Diandian began searching for their hotel. Xu Tian was looking at a map while Shi Diandian used phone navigation. Shi Diandian went ahead but then realized Xu Tian wasn't with her. She called him, expressing her worry and instructing him to stay put while she looked for him. After they reunited, Shi Diandian playfully accused Xu Tian of intentionally leaving her behind and teased him about staying close.
As they continued looking for directions, Xu Tian again went in a different direction while Shi Diandian was distracted by her phone. She walked ahead onto a pedestrian overpass, then realized Xu Tian was gone. She looked up and searched for him, spotting a figure nearby she believed was Xu Tian. She rushed over and grabbed the person's hand, only to discover it was Zhou Tong, who reacted with surprise and asked if she was crazy.
Wen Xiaoyao arrived and confronted Zhou Tong, demanding to know why he had left her so abruptly at the subway. Zhou Tong told her that their pretense was over, as his goal had been achieved now that her performance was scheduled for the next day, and she needed to focus.
He revealed that Qiaomi had told him everything, mentioning a video, and admitted he felt like a fool for taking their interactions seriously, believing Qiaomi had confessed she was only using him for practice from the beginning. He reiterated his plan to proceed with his trip to Malaysia. Unaware of the full details, Wen Xiaoyao called Qiaomi immediately.
Qiaomi informed her that Yin Ye had accidentally injured Yang Yun's back during a lift and that the troupe was frantically looking for Wen Xiaoyao, urging her to return quickly as leaders were present and an ambulance was there. As Wen Xiaoyao absorbed this news, Zhou Tong walked away without looking back. Shi Diandian, having witnessed the exchange after mistaking Zhou Tong for Xu Tian, discreetly followed Zhou Tong and took several photos.
Xu Tian called Shi Diandian, who was still near the overpass area. Distracted by the unfolding events, Shi Diandian told Xu Tian to go to the hotel and check in by himself, providing instructions over the phone and promising to join him later. She then followed Wen Xiaoyao and found her entering the dance school. Due to Yang Yun's injury, the directors decided that Wen Xiaoyao would immediately take over the lead role of Bai Suzhen.
Deeply upset by her emotional turmoil regarding Zhou Tong, Wen Xiaoyao initially told the director, Zhao Gang, that she was unable to dance at the moment. Zhao Gang sternly challenged her, demanding to know if she could handle the responsibility as an actress, and she ultimately agreed. Having just experienced strong emotions related to love, Wen Xiaoyao's subsequent performance during rehearsal was exceptionally moving, greatly impressing Zhao Gang and other leaders.
They decided to announce the change and arrange television interviews right away. Backstage, Wen Xiaoyao remained unhappy despite the significant career opportunity. Wen Xiaoyao also took a brief call from Qiao Guanghui, informing him about Yang Yun's injury and her taking over the role. Meanwhile, Xu Tian waited in the hotel lobby for over two hours.
He called Shi Diandian, expressing his frustration about the long wait, but she reassured him she would arrive soon. An assistant approached Xu Tian and asked him to come upstairs to meet Fang Fang, identifying her as Shi Diandian's mother. Xu Tian, who had not yet checked in, was told his check-in would be processed later. He followed the assistant upstairs, where Fang Fang welcomed him, offered tea, and introduced herself as Shi Diandian's mother.
