Jin Yurong was sent home by Zhao Zhengnan. When the maid saw Jin Yurong, she asked her to go see her father. Jin Yurong asked Zhao Zhengnan to go first and went to see her father alone. She found her father unconscious in bed and burst into tears. Her father was relieved to see her and expressed his gratitude to his ancestors.

Jin Yurong received a letter from Bu Ri Gu De apologizing for his actions and expressing his desire to be with Wu Baoyi. He also hoped that Jin Yurong could face her feelings. However, Bu Ri Gu De still left and things have changed. Jin Yurong returned to work and the children loved her, even asking her to give them injections. Zhao Zhengnan watched Jin Yurong from the side as the children gave her candy. After finishing work, Zhao Zhengnan brought some medicine to Jin Yurong, which made her happy.

Soon, the nurses were promoting a young and skilled surgeon in the ward. It turned out to be Liang Bowen, who hadn't seen Jin Yurong for a long time. They were old classmates, so Jin Yurong invited Liang Bowen to dinner. Zhao Zhengnan was supposed to eat with Jin Yurong, but she asked Liang Bowen, which made Zhao Zhengnan jealous. Liang Bowen talked about their school days and suggested that Jin Yurong try being a medical assistant, which interested her.

After returning home, Jin Yurong continued to study and hoped to become a medical assistant. She even studied while eating, and Zhao Zhengnan would bring her boxed lunches. Her father sent her some jujube cakes as well. Jin Yurong consulted Liang Bowen when she had questions and he gave her his materials, which she appreciated.

After work, Jin Yurong met Zhao Zhengnan, who had finally completed his task and asked her out for a meal. However, Jin Yurong declined as she had an exam to prepare for and suggested that they meet after her exam. As Jin Yurong rode away on her bicycle, Zhao Zhengnan noticed a bicycle nearby and chased after her. They ended up going on a date together, and Zhao Zhengnan was happy as long as he could spend time with Jin Yurong.

Jin Yurong ranked first in her assistant physician exam and was very happy. She planned to invite Liang Bowen for a meal to celebrate. However, Sheng Jiaojiao saw an article about Jin Yurong and Zhao Zhengnan in the newspaper and went to confront Jin Yurong. Despite Sheng Jiaojiao's accusations, Jin Yurong did not care and even scolded her. Sheng Jiaojiao claimed that she and Zhao Zhengnan were engaged, which made Jin Yurong angry and she left.

Later, Jin Yurong helped a Chinese rickshaw driver who was being bullied by a Japanese man. She also met Mr. Wang's daughter and was invited to a charity event at the university. Zhao Zhengnan also attended and bought all the unsold items and donated 10,000 yuan to the students. Although Jin Yurong was happy, she still had some resentment towards Sheng Jiaojiao's words.

Zhao Zhengnan took Jin Yurong to his carefully arranged garden and proposed to her. They kissed, but when Zhao Zhengnan returned home, he found his father there. Zhao's father knew that his son wanted to get married and that the engagement between Zhao's and Sheng's families was for business purposes. However, Zhao Zhengnan promised to maintain his family's business even without Sheng's help.
