Qu Xiaotan found herself in an unfamiliar, glaring place with two suns in the sky, where her pain from childbirth magically vanished. Mo Liancheng realized that his Royal Grandfather’s prophecy about a twenty-five-year lifespan only applied in Dongyue; now that they were in the Xuanling Continent, his life could begin anew. At a registration point, two guards instructed them to get certificates for entry. Mo Liancheng explained they needed a "Xuan Plate" for a legal identity.

He went first, placing his hand on a stone stand which successfully validated his identity. When Qu Xiaotan hesitantly placed her hand on it, the stand shattered explosively, startling her into Mo Liancheng's arms. The stone's destruction alerted a dark entity, who sensed the Soul Bead's arrival in the Xuanling Continent with a man and a woman. The entity ordered them killed and the Soul Bead retrieved, vowing to break its seal and dominate the world.

Simultaneously, several Qu Clan elders, led by Elder Liu, struggled to contain the escalating power of the Dark Emperor, whose attacks on a seal were growing stronger. Elder Liu, having just returned to Xuanling, informed the others that he had found their chief, Qu Xiaotan, who had already bonded with the Soul Bead. He stressed the urgency of helping her master the Mysterious Skills of the Qu Clan so she could suppress the Dark Emperor. Soon after, dark figures attacked.

Mo Liancheng identified them as "the dregs of the Dark Emperor"—remnants of a devil who once plunged the continent into chaos—explaining they were drawn to Qu Xiaotan's powerful Ling power. As Mo Liancheng fought fiercely, he was severely injured. In desperation, Qu Xiaotan used her Soul Wandering Flute, unleashing the Soul Bead's power to fend off the attackers, but the effort caused a backlash that injured her as well.

Before collapsing and murmuring "Royal Grandfather," Mo Liancheng urged her to run. Just as the couple was about to be overwhelmed, a white-haired man resembling Mo Yihuai appeared. This was Mo Yifeng, Mo Liancheng's grandfather and the Chief of the Mo Clan, who swiftly defeated the dark hunters with an overwhelming display of power. Qu Xiaotan awoke in a luxurious room, momentarily thinking she had time-traveled again.

She accidentally discovered a new power when a nearby vase shattered with her gesture. When Mo Clan guards came to investigate, they reprimanded her and locked her in the room. From inside, she was stunned to discover she could clearly overhear the guards outside discussing her being from the Qu Clan. Through focus, she realized she could also see what was happening outside her room, abilities she excitedly recognized as clairvoyance and clairaudience.

She resolved to use these new powers to find Mo Liancheng. Using her newfound abilities, Qu Xiaotan located Mo Liancheng being treated in a pavilion, where she was confronted by Mo Yifeng. She greeted him as "Royal Grandfather," and he confirmed his identity. When she remarked on his youth, he explained that cultivators often appear younger.

Acknowledging she had used the "Inner Eye," a Qu Clan skill, to find them, he returned her Soul Wandering Flute but warned her not to use any Qu Clan skills in Mo territory, citing a century-long feud between their families. Mo Yifeng then revealed a long-held secret: the consciousness inside Mo Liancheng belonged to his dear friend, a kind doctor from the Xuanling Continent who was tragically killed in a battle between the clans.

Unwilling to let his friend perish, Mo Yifeng used the "Qiankun Seal" to preserve his consciousness. After moving to Dongyue and establishing an empire, he waited a hundred years for an opportunity. He finally transferred his friend's consciousness into the body of his newborn grandson, the current Mo Liancheng. He used the "Seven Ji Panacea" to ensure a perfect match and erase all of the original Mo Liancheng's past memories.

Horrified, Qu Xiaotan asked if he had foreseen her arrival and orchestrated their marriage. Mo Yifeng admitted he knew her true identity and that she was the only one who could save Mo Liancheng. He clarified that his prophecy about Mo Liancheng not surviving past twenty-five was because the seal on the original memories would weaken at that age.

When it breaks, the original memories will resurface, causing the current Mo Liancheng to slowly forget everything from the past twenty-five years, including her. This awakening, he insisted, was the only way to stabilize Mo Liancheng and save his life. Despite her heartbreak, Qu Xiaotan declared that she wanted Mo Liancheng to live, even if he forgot her. She adamantly stated she was only "lending him" temporarily, vowing he belonged to her alone.

Mo Yifeng then ordered her to be kept under watch. Shortly after, Liu Qianshui appeared, explaining that the abundant Ling power in the Xuanling Continent had cured her chronic headaches. He urged her to leave, but Qu Xiaotan refused, proclaiming her only loyalty was to Mo Liancheng. Seeing her determination, Liu Qianshui gave her a book containing the "Mysterious Skills of Qu Clan," instructing her to practice them to eventually suppress the Dark Emperor before taking his leave.
