Martial artists throughout history loved bestowing grand titles. The ones they encountered before—Shen Jingzhou, the Sword of Wind and Snow, and Wang Ren, the Sky-Breaking Blade—could be considered top-tier experts. But those worthy of the “Immortal” title were nearly legendary figures.

Many have made it onto the weapon rankings, but there are only three Blade Immortals, five Sword Immortals, and only one Spear Immortal—none other than today’s greatest spear wielder, the Spear Immortal Sikong Changfeng, one of the Three Lords of Xueyue City. When Lu Yuzhai saw Sikong Changfeng, his arrogance vanished instantly. Even though Sikong Changfeng publicly rebuked and mocked him, he dared not speak out.

After the decline of Wushuang City, it was hard to find talent as outstanding as this youth—Wushuang himself. Admiring Wushuang for his virtue and cultivation, Sikong Changfeng refrained from killing Wu Xin and personally demonstrated how to control the Wushuang Sword Box, command twelve flying swords, and summon the Vermilion Bird of the Great Ming. Lei Wujie was dumbfounded by the display.

After the people of Wushuang City departed, Sikong Qianluo threw herself excitedly into her father’s arms and obediently admitted her fault. Sikong Changfeng couldn’t bear to scold her further. Tang Lian suggested that Sikong Qianluo return to Xueyue City with the Three Lords, but she insisted on staying by Tang Lian’s side. Just moments ago, Sikong Changfeng had been the strict father, yet he instantly became a doting dad—much to everyone’s surprise.

After handling family matters, Sikong Changfeng lowered his head to look at Wu Xin and loudly recited, “Respectfully send Ye Anshi back to the sect. ” The moment he said this, everyone was stunned. Before they could react, Sikong Changfeng repeated the phrase. It seemed he was honoring a pact, though the words carried an implicit threat. At his command, the White-Haired Deity slowly approached. Wu Xin had no choice.

Seeing Wu Xin about to be taken away, Xiao Se and Lei Wujie rushed to stop them. Twelve years ago, the Demon Sect and the Central Plains made a pact to seal off the world. Now that the twelve years had passed, Wu Xin was free once more. With the vast world before him, he should not be bound by anyone. Xiao Se hoped Wu Xin would follow his heart.

If he didn’t want to leave, Xiao Se had ways to help him stay in the Central Plains. The White-Haired Deity knelt first, declaring that the Central Plains sects were fragmented, while only the Tianwaitian Sect had remained whole—no one had ever left it. For twelve long years, they had waited bitterly for their Young Sect Leader’s return. In the end, Wu Xin bid farewell with a few brief words.

Then, leaping into the sky, he left behind a stirring poem. Xiao Se and Lei Wujie watched with sorrow, hoping to see him again someday. Inside the palace of Tianqi, Emperor Ming Dedi summoned the National Preceptor Qi Tianchen to play chess. When he brought up the matter of the hostage Wu Xin returning to the Demon Sect, Qi Tianchen thought it the best outcome.

Of all the laws in the world, only the balance of yin and yang is unbreakable. Yin and yang exist between heaven and earth, within the weave of black and white. Why cling to notions of good and evil, gain and loss? If sacrificing one hostage brings the people’s support, then it is a blessing for Beili. It was dusk.

With the sun setting in the west, Xiao Se and Lei Wujie traveled thousands of miles, their fine horses now exhausted. After bidding farewell to Wu Xin in the Kingdom of Yu, they once again set out for the long journey to Xueyue City. Armed with a map that might as well have been scripture to these two directionless travelers, they wandered for days before finally arriving at the mundane city of Fan City—Xueyue City’s colloquial name.

The city bustled with excitement as heroes from all directions gathered. Among them was Li Fansong, a young uncle-master from Wangcheng Mountain. He was so enraptured by the opera that he nearly forgot he was here to challenge a pavilion. While resting at a nearby inn, Lei Wujie learned from the innkeeper that Fan City wasn’t truly Xueyue City. Only by ascending the Heaven-Climbing Pavilion could one glimpse its true form, sparking his adventurous spirit.

Li Fansong, having inherited the true teachings of his grandmaster, mastered the art of observing auras. When he saw Lei Wujie flash by, he suddenly realized that this was a year of great talent. Lei Wujie quickly cut through obstacles, reaching the thirteenth level. The crowd was amazed. The pavilion master of the thirteenth floor, Luo Mingxuan, was the disciple of Elder Yin Luoxia and had inherited her notorious gambling addiction.

He could manipulate a single die to change to any number at will. Sensing danger, Lei Wujie hurriedly asked Xiao Se for help and learned the die’s secret. Using Xiao Se’s method, he easily defeated Luo Mingxuan, splitting the die in half with a higher number and passing the challenge. Luo Mingxuan, amused by Lei Wujie, offered friendship and shared stories about his eccentric female master.

Just then, Elder Yin Luoxia’s scolding voice rang out, scaring Lei Wujie into fleeing to the fourteenth floor. Hearing Li Fansong and Feixuan talking, Xiao Se learned they were members of Spider Web, a secret organization within Xueyue City, and invited them in for tea. When Sikong Qianluo heard someone had reached the fourteenth floor, she ran over out of curiosity.

Xiao Se stopped her from becoming an obstacle to Lei Wujie and used his lightness skills to spar with her. The master of the fourteenth floor was Senior Brother Tang Lian. He was puzzled why Lei Wujie, already a disciple of the Lei Clan, needed to go through all this trouble to join Xueyue City. Lei Wujie admitted he had made a promise to someone: only by ascending the Heaven-Climbing Pavilion could he see them again. Using his Flame-Burning Technique, he instantly broke through Tang Lian’s silk-blade array—said to be formidable, but easily snapped with a tug.
