The Blood of Youth Episode 14 Recap
> The Blood of Youth Recap
Lei Wujie dreamed of sweeping away evil and upholding justice in the martial world. He admired the passionate tale of the White-Feathered Sword Deity who stormed Tianqi with nothing but his sword. However, he noticed that every time Tianqi City was mentioned, Xiao Se's expression would turn strange. Xiao Se revealed that his hometown was indeed Tianqi City, but not everyone could return to their roots.
That night, Sikong Changfeng discussed Lord Bai’s purpose in coming to Xueyue City with Xiao Se. If Xiao Se was willing to go back, the benefits would outweigh the risks. In his dream, Xiao Se saw Wu Xin and confided his unresolved troubles. Wu Xin offered a few brief words that hit the mark, but in the end, the choice was still Xiao Se’s to make. The three-day deadline arrived, and Xiao Se’s answer remained unchanged.
He said that in this life, he would never admit fault to that person in Tianqi City. Even though his resistance was meaningless alone, at least he had a clear conscience. Because of Xiao Se’s defiance, Xiao Chong ordered Cang Ming to forcibly take him away. Sikong Qianluo appeared just in time to stop him, but Xiao Se suddenly stepped in to block a sword, and only then did Xiao Chong give up and leave.
In truth, Xiao Chong had already guessed Xiao Se’s decision. His actions were merely a show for Ming Dedi in Tianqi City, so he would have something to report upon returning. After all, in Xiao Chong’s view, no one truly wanted Xiao Se to return to Tianqi City. Otherwise, all the other princes would be nothing more than his backdrop. No matter how deep their brotherly affection, they would eventually be lost in the pursuit of power.
Now that Wu Xin had become the sect leader of Tianwaitian, his influence was formidable. Lord Chi, Xiao Yu, harbored wild ambitions of seizing the throne and proactively sought out Wu Xin for a deal. Wu Xin mocked him for being delusional. Though they were half-brothers, the blood feud between their fathers ran deep. How could he support the son of his enemy in ascending the throne?
Xiao Yu attempted to move Wu Xin with familial ties, claiming he was fighting for the throne to avenge their mother. In the end, Wu Xin agreed to cooperate, on the condition that Xiao Se would not be harmed in any way. Additionally, Wu Xin noticed the drugged Lord Ming and, remembering their brief encounter, took him under his care. Fortunately, Xiao Se’s injuries were not severe, and he recovered after some rest.
Sikong Changfeng had promised to treat Ye Ruoyi’s illness, so he had Tang Lian pack their things to take her to the Tang Clan and meet Elder Tang. Coincidentally, the Hero’s Banquet at Lei Fortress was approaching, and Lei Wujie wanted to return to attend. He would also bring Li Hanyi to see their master, Lei Hong. Originally, Xiao Se had little interest in the Hero’s Banquet.
But when Sikong Changfeng laid out a table full of account books, he immediately changed his mind and decided to go with Lei Wujie to Lei Fortress. Sikong Qianluo and Xiao Se climbed to a high spot to enjoy the view. She suddenly asked how the scenery of Tianqi City compared to that of Xueyue City. Xiao Se pondered seriously and, for once, didn’t show any aversion or displeasure.
After leaving Xueyue City, Lord Bai Xiao Chong didn’t return to Tianqi City directly. Instead, he headed to Unrivaled City. He wasn’t surprised that such a young man already sat on the Lord’s seat and advised him to wait patiently for the right moment to enter Tianqi, avoiding involvement in any factional struggles in the meantime. Sikong Changfeng was curious why Xiao Se wanted to go to Lei Fortress.
Xiao Se frankly admitted that he had learned Lei Wujie had inherited the Azure Dragon Token and wanted to see the latter’s true strength. Before Li Hanyi descended the mountain, Sikong Changfeng advised her to travel more and reflect on herself—a message she understood. When the day of departure arrived, Lei Wujie was reluctant to part with the Tower to the Heavens. Tang Lian brought Ye Ruoyi to see them off.
After a brief farewell, the four of them went their separate ways. Lei Wujie and Xiao Se began their long journey to Lei Sect. Meanwhile, Zhao Yuzhen received an eighty-thousand-tael bill from Xueyue City and blamed Li Fansong for razing the Tower to the Heavens. Li Fansong was horrified, and though Zhao Yuzhen didn’t believe it, upon hearing that Li Fansong had seen Li Hanyi’s “Moonlit Flowers of Dusk,” he couldn’t help but feel nostalgic.
