Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru repeatedly asked about Zhao Ling'er's whereabouts. The snake demon claimed ignorance. While the two were hesitant, the snake demon broke off its tail and disappeared from Li Xiaoyao's sight. The two continued searching, walked into the depths of the cave, and found a hidden door. Lin Yueru gently opened the door. They found many young women in the secret room shouting for help.

These were exactly the people who had been missing from the Lin family castle for some time. Lin Yueru asked if they knew the snake demon's purpose. One woman said the snake demon was capturing them for his wife, the fox demon, to replenish her energy. Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru continued walking deeper into the cave and suddenly found an open clearing. The clearing was luxuriously furnished.

Suddenly, a red-clothed fox monster appeared before the two, followed closely by the snake demon. The fox demon scolded the two for trespassing into the forbidden area. Li Xiaoyao only cared about where Zhao Ling'er was hidden. The fox demon stated that she had not captured this person at all. Thus, a fierce battle ensued between the two sides. Anger surged in Li Xiaoyao, and he quickly subdued the two monsters.

Zhao Ling'er fainted alone in the wilderness, and her lower body also returned to human form. A Nu found her in the wilderness and wanted to take her back to the city. Suddenly, a disheveled monster appeared. A Nu pushed it aside. The monster became furious and bit A Nu's arm directly.

A Nu forcefully shook it off and used her monster-repelling staff to drive the monster away, but she herself fainted beside Zhao Ling'er due to the bite wound on her arm. When Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru walked out of the cave, Lin Tiannan arrived at the cave entrance to meet them. Seeing that Lin Yueru was determined to find Zhao Ling'er, Lin Tiannan gave her the family's martial arts manual 'Qian Kun Yi Zhi' for self-defense.

When Zhao Ling'er woke up again, she found herself and a strange woman lying in a thatched hut. A female healer was busy. Seeing Zhao Ling'er awaken, the female healer recounted how Zhao Ling'er had been saved. Her master, Doctor Han Yixian, had gone out to collect herbs and rescued the two unconscious people. This place was Baihe Village, located deep within Guiyin Mountain.

Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru also traveled to Guiyin Mountain and were suddenly surrounded by a group of zombie demons. A fight began between the two sides. Lin Yueru discovered that the so-called zombie demons were disguised villagers. After subduing the fake zombie demons, Lin Yueru asked for the reason behind the disguise.

Before they could explain clearly, a villager used stone powder to knock the group unconscious and then tied them up and took them back to the mountain stronghold. After Doctor Han Yixian returned to the thatched hut, he found that Zhao Ling'er had woken up. He then explained that the strange woman might have been bitten by a zombie demon while saving Zhao Ling'er.

Zhao Ling'er felt extremely guilty and decided to use the Soul Revival Spell to save the strange woman. After some effort, A Nu suddenly sat up in surprise and bit Zhao Ling'er's arm hard. Doctor Han Yixian had no time to stop her. After the healing was complete, they had expected Zhao Ling'er to be corrupted by the zombie poison, but unexpectedly, Zhao Ling'er was unharmed, and the poison symptoms on A Nu's face slowly subsided.

Doctor Han Yixian saw that Zhao Ling'er belonged to the immortal realm and asked her to save his daughter, who was controlled by the zombie poison. After Doctor Han Yixian took Zhao Ling'er away, A Nu also woke up. Seeing that she had fully recovered, she quietly left the thatched hut. Li Xiaoyao, Lin Yueru, and Liu Jinyuan were captured and taken to Baihe Stronghold.

The third leader of the stronghold suggested keeping a few people to bring good luck (chongxi) to the chief. It turned out the chief of Baihe Stronghold was Doctor Han Yixian's daughter. After the three were imprisoned for some time, the third leader prepared to choose one of them to bring good luck to the unconscious chief. Liu Jinyuan pretended to have tuberculosis, coughing continuously. The third leader was somewhat wary of this. Lin Yueru kept fanning the flames, and ultimately, Li Xiaoyao was chosen.
