Ming Tian soon arrived, taking on the role of her coach, holding kick pads for her. Unexpectedly, Song Xiaomi’s kicks were so powerful that she knocked him down repeatedly, forty times in total. Ming Tian realized he had underestimated her strength.
Later, Zhang Chunhua informed Ming Tian that Song Xiaomi, as a heavyweight contender, possessed a formidable power, with even the principal believing she could stand against Fang Yu. After receiving a call from Fang Yu, Ming Tian rushed to meet her. They sat together on the grass, opening up to each other. Their intimate moment was interrupted when Song Xiaomi happened upon them. Heartbroken, she turned and left, unnoticed. Fang Zhou and Fang Yu concocted a plan to deceive their grandfather, claiming they needed to inspect a branch company. In reality, Fang Yu intended to go on a date with Ming Tian, while Fang Zhou was tasked with looking after Ming Zhu and Ming Lang.
Song Xiaomi invited Sun Hao to celebrate her heartbreak, which involved a wild shopping spree, followed by a terrifying ride on a drop tower. Amidst their screams, they found release from the accumulated stress of their heartbreaks. Elsewhere, Cheng Papa, while grocery shopping, spotted Sun Hao’s mother. To avoid her, he comically dove into a crowd of women browsing lingerie, creating an embarrassing scene.
Fang Zhou arrived at Ming Tian’s home with takeout food, ostensibly to care for the children, but he spent most of his time playing video games, much to Ming Lang’s annoyance. Fang Yu posed a riddle to Ming Tian: two people walked on the beach, but only one set of footprints remained. Why? Ming Tian responded by sweeping Fang Yu into his arms, providing his answer through action. At the martial arts hall, a heartbroken Cheng Yanan tearfully scrolled through her messages from Luo Guanyan before deleting their chat history in a fit of spite.
Late that night, Fang Yu and Fang Zhou returned home, only to be confronted by their grandfather. He had learned of Fang Yu's relationship with Ming Tian and, viewing it as a distraction and a mismatch for the family's status, ordered her to quit school immediately. He dismissed Ming Tian as a poor boy with ulterior motives.
Fang Yu defiantly stood up to her grandfather, refusing to compromise on her love life and vowing to prove him wrong, which left him furious. Later, Cheng Yanan had a vivid dream in which Luo Guanyan appeared at the hall to stop her from deleting his messages. In the dream, she angrily fought him and declared she would delete everything. She jolted awake, startled, only to find Fang Yu lying beside her.
Fang Yu explained that after the argument, she had run away from home to demonstrate her resolve. Fang Zhou, concerned, had even sent a chef—who turned out to be Song Xiaomi’s mother’s disciple—to look after her. Later, Fang Yu went to the supermarket alone, her mind troubled by her grandfather’s harsh words.
Determined to prove her grandfather wrong, Fang Yu called Ming Tian to arrange lunch and resolved to find ways to act like a "normal couple," even looking up activities like holding hands, feeding each other, and practicing a "wall slap," though she found the latter more suited to a fighting arena. Students in the cafeteria were abuzz with rumors about Fang Yu and Ming Tian.
Some claimed Fang Yu was coercing Ming Tian into a relationship, promising Fang Family Group investments in his new agricultural technology—a "bacon-transformed-seaweed" invention—if he dated her. Others exaggerated that Fang Yu had gone blind after eating Ming Tian's experimental food, necessitating him to feed her. The gossip escalated to predictions of a wedding photoshoot, marriage after Ming Tian’s graduation, and even plans for two children named "Seaweed" and "Bacon."
The university president, hearing these widespread rumors, deduced that Chairman Fang's insistence on Fang Yu withdrawing from school must be connected to her relationship with Ming Tian. Meanwhile, Ma Yichen expressed his anger at being passed over for vice club president, blaming his setback on Ming Tian. He questioned why he was avoiding Ming Tian, asserting he wasn't afraid. Ming Tian's simple life was disrupted when Fang Yu’s grandfather unexpectedly arrived at his car wash.
The grandfather, identifying himself, politely yet firmly requested that Ming Tian end his relationship with Fang Yu. He explained that this was necessary for the family company and from his perspective as a grandfather, acknowledging Ming Tian's hardship in raising his siblings. He offered to grant Ming Tian any request if he agreed to leave Fang Yu. Ming Tian, however, respectfully declined, stating that he would only leave Fang Yu if she herself asked him to.
