Li Weiwei, frustrated by her forced administrative duties at D. U. , complained to Huo Xiao over the phone that Chen Yidu was ruining her hands meant for fashion design by making her copy documents. Huo Xiao, concerned for her, offered to leverage his company's shares in Canmei Emporium—a contract Chen Yidu desperately sought—to negotiate her release back to Ling Long. However, Li Weiwei adamantly refused, declaring her intention to remain at D. U.
as a persistent nuisance, vowing to be a thorn in his side and curse him daily. Tiffany learned that Hui Huang Entertainment, China's No. 1 entertainment company, was looking for a gown company to collaborate with. She assigned this arduous task to Li Weiwei, claiming that Chen Yidu had personally arranged the work. Under this impression, Li Weiwei accepted. When Chen Yidu discovered Tiffany had sent Li Weiwei to meet Manager Liu, he was enraged.
He furiously confronted Tiffany, revealing Manager Liu's true character as a notorious playboy and expressing his intention to handle that critical deal personally, which was now completely messed up by her actions. Worried about Li Weiwei's safety, Chen Yidu immediately drove off to Manager Liu's villa. His car, however, ran out of gas en route. Helpless, he abandoned his dignified image and hitched a ride on a tractor to reach Manager Liu's house.
At Manager Liu's villa, Li Weiwei found herself in an uncomfortable position. Manager Liu "lasciviously" insisted on them deepening their mutual understanding. Meanwhile, Li Weiwei's failure to return after talking business all night made Huo Xiao extremely anxious. Leo also kept pressing Tiffany for information about Weiwei's whereabouts.
The next morning, having sobered up, Li Weiwei devised a strategy to win over Manager Liu: she decided to design a gown that Manager Liu's wife would like, believing that his wife's approval would naturally secure the deal. As she sat alone sketching in the villa's garden, Chen Yidu, for a moment, forgot their strained relationship and approached her. He stepped forward and gently took her hand, guiding her lines on the design paper, as if they had never separated.
Chen Yidu then suggested that a mere design sketch lacked the necessary sincerity. They decided to improvise, using the room's curtains as material to craft the gown, intending it as a special wedding anniversary gift for Manager Liu and his wife. Their combined efforts, filled with love and tacit understanding, allowed them to successfully complete the exquisite gown, ultimately securing the coveted order.
Just as they were celebrating their hard-won success, their moment was interrupted by the arrivals of Huo Xiao and Leo, who appeared one after another. Both vehemently declared themselves Li Weiwei's boyfriend, much to the utter shock and bewilderment of Manager Liu and his wife.
