Stay With Me Episode 34 Recap
> Stay With Me Recap
After Chen Yidu's D. U. Corporation faced a major crisis with a failed wedding dress order, Huo Xiao stepped in, using his father's connections to find a Malaysian buyer for the inventory. Huo Xiao then told Li Weiwei to advise Chen Yidu to reflect on himself after such a significant event. Meanwhile, Mo Fan and Kang Xing discussed Chen Yidu's miraculous recovery from the crisis, with Mo Fan stating he had expected it but was surprised by the speed.
He believed they had created an irreparable hole in D. U. and would wait to see if Chen Yidu could reverse his fate. Later, Ms. Gedia announced a bridal gown competition between D. U. and Ling Long for a spot in Fontaine Bleue Wear, the world's top fashion department store. The winning company would receive ¥100M in orders. This competition was called because both companies' annual sales performance was nearly identical.
Around this time, Assistant Supervisor Liang, who signed the original problematic Malaysian order, pleaded with Chen Yidu for another chance. He explained he met Robert Hu, the initial buyer, at a bar after Huang Kai invited him, overhearing Hu on the phone about needing a top-quality wedding dress. Chen Yidu, with Tiffany and Cao Zhong, grew suspicious of Huang Kai, an HR employee, and decided to investigate him further.
Tiffany initially tried to follow Huang Kai, but Leo, unaware of the situation, interrupted her, causing her to lose sight of Huang Kai. Chen Yidu then initiated "Plan B." Cao Zhong and Tiffany orchestrated a plan to feed Huang Kai fake documents about an internal spy, leaving them in Chen Yidu's office. Huang Kai, under surveillance by Chen Yidu's team, took the documents and left the company.
Chen Yidu followed but did not manage to catch the mastermind, realizing the culprit was experienced and cunning. Chen Yidu then summoned Mo Fan, telling him he was playing detective to uncover a deep-seated spy whose moves were secretive and precise, but asserted that he was confident he would overcome them. Meanwhile, Mo Fan, realizing Chen Yidu was closing in, immediately called Huang Kai on his phone, instructing him not to contact him recently.
Shortly after, Cao Zhong found Huang Kai's and his superior's contact number. Chen Yidu dialed the number, and to his horror, the phone rang inside Mo Fan's locker. In a subsequent taekwondo match, Chen Yidu confronted Mo Fan, demanding to know why he betrayed him after all the trust and shared experiences. Mo Fan dropped his facade, revealing that when he was twelve, his parents were killed by a reckless driver, leaving him an orphan filled with an unforgettable hatred.
He then exposed Chen Yidu as the son of that driver. Mo Fan had vowed to make those who caused him pain suffer, and he admitted he never once considered Chen Yidu a brother, manipulating their relationship to hasten Chen Yidu's downfall as part of his revenge plan. Devastated by Mo Fan's betrayal, Chen Yidu sought out Li Weiwei. She took him to their original studio to find their "initial heart," reminiscing about their early days of founding D. U.
in that humble room, working tirelessly, securing their first award, and celebrating their successes. She picked up an old photo album, stating their stories were all recorded in it, and that they had overcome such difficulties back then, implying they could get through Mo Fan's actions.
Li Weiwei reminded Chen Yidu that they had overcome greater difficulties in the past and urged him to reconnect with their "initial heart" for the sake of many people's hopes, motivating him to fight back against Mo Fan. Feeling somewhat revitalized, Chen Yidu thanked her. Li Weiwei then urged Chen Yidu to return to the company immediately, anticipating that Mo Fan, now unmasked, would make aggressive moves.
True to her prediction, Mo Fan called an urgent board meeting, announcing that he had acquired forty percent of D. U. Corporation's shares, giving him equal holding with Chen Yidu. He asserted his right to chair the meeting and proposed replacing Chen Yidu as chairman, citing the company's poor management and potential failure to secure the Fontaine Bleue Wear spot. Chen Yidu firmly declared he would not relinquish his position and would prevent anyone with malicious intent from taking control.
Li Weiwei then sought out Huo Xiao. She explained that while entering Fontaine Bleue Wear was important for Ling Long, D. U.' s survival was at stake for Chen Yidu. She apologized to Huo Xiao for what she was about to do, and he offered his unconditional support. At a meeting with her team, Li Weiwei announced her withdrawal from the Fontaine Bleue Wear competition, entrusting all design responsibilities and cases to her team, including Su Fei.
Her team was surprised and confused by her decision. Seeing Li Weiwei's clear intention to aid Chen Yidu by sacrificing Ling Long's chances, Mo Fan told Kang Xing that Li Weiwei was clearly helping Chen Yidu. He declared he still held a "king's card" against the amnesiac woman to ensure that Chen Yidu and Li Weiwei would be forced to turn against each other. Mo Fan then confronted Li Weiwei, revealing that Chen Yidu was responsible for her father's death.
Li Weiwei immediately sought out Chen Yidu for confirmation. He tearfully confessed that five years ago, during a heated argument and their breakup, she had called her father crying. Her father, rushing back to comfort her, died in a car accident on the way to the airport. Chen Yidu also revealed that his own mother's permanent brain damage resulted from a fall down the stairs while trying to prevent Li Weiwei from leaving him.
He had kept these truths from her, fearing he would lose her again. Overwhelmed by the painful revelations, Li Weiwei told Chen Yidu that they could no longer be together. Distraught, Li Weiwei ran to the riverbank, with Chen Yidu and Huo Xiao chasing after her, fearing she might harm herself. As she backed away, her shoe heel broke, causing her to lose balance and fall into the river, once again losing consciousness due to drowning.
She was rushed to the hospital. Chen Yidu plunged into despair, believing Li Weiwei would never forgive him and that his hopes of a fresh start were entirely his own fault. Huo Xiao, equally heartbroken by Li Weiwei's unconscious state, found no solace in the fact that she now knew the truth and would not reconcile with Chen Yidu.
Later, as Leo sat bored in Li Weiwei's hospital room, secretly eating dried mango, Li Weiwei suddenly spoke, scolding him for his snack habits and recalling his exact body measurements from when he was fifteen. Leo instantly realized that her memory had fully returned.
