Mai Sichong, after hiding a medical examination report he had secretly obtained, saw Mei Weiwei rushing by and quickly excused himself from his roommates to follow her. Meanwhile, Mei Weiwei and Li Daixi were anxiously searching for a lost Pikachu doll head. Mei Weiwei received a text message requesting the return of the costume, indicating it was needed by the Student Union for an activity, so they abandoned their search.
The person in charge then tried to demand an exorbitant 6000 yuan in compensation for the "lost" head, claiming it was a rare Japanese import and refusing any discount. Just then, Mai Sichong, identified as a member of the swim team, appeared, throwing the Pikachu head at the person and accusing them of fraud and bullying Mei Weiwei. Mei Weiwei pulled Mai Sichong aside. He questioned why she was cross-examining him instead of thanking him for finding the costume.

After retrieving his files, Peng Pai revealed his true identity as a fellow student and promised to keep Mai Sichong's private confession a secret. Mai Sichong, now understanding his feelings, felt a renewed sense of purpose. Armed with this newfound clarity, Mai Sichong deliberately sat behind Mei Weiwei in class.
After the lecture, he made a public declaration of his love for her, asking her to be his girlfriend, which was met with cheers from their classmates. Mei Weiwei, mortified, hastily left the classroom. In the plaza, she confronted Mai Sichong, suggesting his feelings were a "dream" that would vanish if he simply went home and slept. As Mei Weiwei tried to escape his persistence, she accidentally collided with Mai Sichong's mother. Mai Sichong boldly introduced Mei Weiwei as his "expected girlfriend." His mother was immediately charmed and warmly invited Mei Weiwei to her birthday lunch. Despite Mei Weiwei's attempts to decline, she was swept along. News of Mai Sichong's public confession and his meeting with his mother spread rapidly across campus, much to Li Daixi's fury when she saw the widespread gossip and photos.
At Mai Sichong's home, his parents were excessively hospitable, making Mei Weiwei uncomfortable with their constant remarks about Mai Sichong's lack of previous girlfriends and her being special. Mai Sichong, trying to ease her awkwardness, offered to order takeout, but his parents insisted their home cooking was superior. When Mai Sichong went to fetch Mei Weiwei a glass of water, he accidentally bumped his leg and winced in pain.
His mother, noticing his distress, immediately pulled him into a private room. She sternly scolded him, revealing that he had a serious, unrecovered leg injury and that overtraining could lead to permanent damage. Mai Sichong confessed he was trying to hide the injury from his team leader to secure a spot on the provincial team next year, stressing the importance of upcoming competitions.
His mother urged him to prioritize his health and follow the doctor's advice. On their way back to school, Mai Sichong clarified that his mother's invitation wasn't his idea. Mei Weiwei, declining his mother's snacks, cryptically told Mai Sichong that "everything will be fine after tonight" before attempting to leave. Their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Peng Pai. Mai Sichong greeted him enthusiastically.
Peng Pai then said, "Long time no see," to which Mei Weiwei, appearing surprised, addressed him as "Peng Yan." Mai Sichong corrected her, stating his name was "Peng Pai," and Mei Weiwei quickly departed. Mai Sichong, confused by Mei Weiwei's reaction, confided in Peng Pai about her sudden coldness. He shared that Mei Weiwei was a fast runner from the track team in high school and implied she might have shown interest in him first, but advised Mai Sichong to simply endure one more night. Mei Weiwei finally confessed that she had encountered "Peng Yan," who had renamed himself Peng Pai after studying abroad, and admitted she had been so flustered that she "ran." Li Daixi scolded her for the impulsive reaction but also warned her against using her "superpower" on Peng Pai, fearing even greater complications if he were to fall for her.
Mei Weiwei then fully admitted her mistake with Mai Sichong: she had "electrified the wrong person," causing him to fall in love with her. She reassured Li Daixi that Mai Sichong's infatuation would subside in a few hours, after which they could proceed with "Plan B," which she guaranteed would be foolproof this time. Later, Peng Pai and Mai Sichong met again to discuss Mei Weiwei.
Mai Sichong expressed his confusion over Mei Weiwei's mixed signals, fluctuating between apparent interest and outright rejection. Peng Pai, hinting at deeper knowledge, calmly advised Mai Sichong to remain patient and simply endure one more night. Meanwhile, Mei Weiwei continued to receive a barrage of ardent WeChat messages from Mai Sichong, followed shortly by a new friend request from Peng Pai. The next morning, the "superpower's" effect on Mai Sichong wore off.
Waking up to his phone, he was horrified to see the numerous, overly affectionate WeChat messages he had sent Mei Weiwei, shocked by his own "crazy actions" and wondering what had transpired. Elsewhere, Mei Weiwei, intent on helping Li Daixi, discreetly asked Ding Yi about the swim team's night training schedule, offering him a drink. Ding Yi confirmed that while the team didn't have official night training, Mai Sichong always went.
He then asked if Mei Weiwei was planning a surprise for Mai Sichong. Later, Peng Pai approached Mei Weiwei, expressing a desire to apologize for a past event, but Mei Weiwei quickly cut him off, claiming to have forgotten it, and hastily left, citing a class.
Mai Sichong, now back to his normal self, confided in Ding Yi that "love at first sight is unreliable" and that if Mei Weiwei were to approach him now, the ball would be "up to him," much to Ding Yi's surprise at his sudden change in attitude. At the poolside, Mei Weiwei and Li Daixi waited for Mai Sichong. Li Daixi began to feign drowning, crying for help, to lure Mai Sichong into the water.
Mei Weiwei urged him to rescue her. Mai Sichong, however, was skeptical, noting the pool's shallow depth and Li Daixi's unconvincing act. Mei Weiwei insisted Li Daixi had a leg cramp, but Mai Sichong, spotting his coach, was about to leave. In a desperate move, Mei Weiwei pushed Mai Sichong into the pool, accidentally falling in herself. Just then, Ding Yi, passing by, saw Li Daixi struggling and courageously jumped in to rescue her.
Simultaneously, all four individuals in the water were struck by a strange electric current, and their hearts began to pound. Mai Sichong, bewildered, discovered that his voice had become high-pitched and immediately questioned Mei Weiwei about what she had done to him.
