Luo Minmin's father was very angry when he saw his daughter injured like this. He took a broom and hit the police officers of the Fourth Precinct one by one. Every male comrade present was unharmed, only his daughter was seriously injured.

Luo Tianxiang asked Hua Zhen with tears in his eyes, saying that during dinner at home, he had repeatedly told Hua Zhen hoping he could protect Luo Minmin, so why did she end up like this in just one day? The police officers of the Fourth Precinct were very sad and accepted the beating and scolding. Not long after, Section Chief Feng Guangyun of the Sixteenth Precinct arrived.

He was aggressively demanding to interrogate Luo Minmin, but since Luo Minmin was still in a coma at the time, Section Chief Feng Guangyun angrily berated the Fourth Precinct Chief and even physically assaulted him. Luo Minmin's father saw Section Chief Feng Guangyun being so heartless and cruel, and immediately found a stretcher to carry Luo Minmin home. After Section Chief Feng Guangyun left, Chen Hao was suspended from duty. He returned to the station to pack his police uniform and belongings.

The Chief earnestly advised him not to concern himself with the Meng couple's murder case anymore and to live an easy life from now on. But Chen Hao refused. He felt that his subordinate police officer had been severely injured, and the murderer must be caught to give Luo Minmin justice. While Luo Minmin was in a coma, she tightly held a button in her hand.

The Fourth Precinct was temporarily disbanded, and a teammate handed this valuable button to Hua Zhen. Looking at the bloodstained button, Hua Zhen was pensive. His mission was not yet complete, and he could not just resign like this. Hua Zhen proposed to Chen Hao that he would withdraw his resignation and remain at the Fourth Precinct until the murderer was apprehended. He wondered how Luo Minmin's father found their residence, so he went to Luo Minmin's father's house to look for clues. When Luo Tianxiang heard Hua Zhen asking how Luo Minmin's father knew their home address, he was so scared that he dropped and broke the cup in his hand. Luo Minmin's father was very angry and did not tell him the truth. Hua Zhen left the Luo family's door and stayed nearby, keeping watch. Coincidentally, Chen Hao was also near the Luo family's house. He bought many eggs and quietly delivered them to the Luo family.

Luo Tianxiang was going out to get medicine for Luo Minmin. On the way, he encountered the hoodlums who always bothered him. It was Chen Hao and Hua Zhen who helped him get rid of them. Luo Tianxiang finally revealed the truth about his leak. The photos were given to them by the Mahjong parlor owner. Luo Tianxiang explained that if he hadn't been desperate, he really wouldn't have betrayed his friend. Hua Zhen understood the whole story.

Before leaving, he instructed him to let the matter end there and not to let Luo Minmin know. Hua Zhen had good intentions. If Hua Zhen knew it was her own brother who had put him in a difficult position, he probably would never forgive him. Chen Hao and Hua Zhen went to the Mahjong parlor and asked where the photos came from.

The Mahjong parlor owner replied, after receiving a bribe, that they were given by the owner of the Dongguang Pawnshop. Chen Hao and Hua Zhen immediately went to the Dongguang Pawnshop to look for clues. The clerk working there, upon hearing them inquire about the photos, lied and was about to go out to report. He was stopped by Hua Zhen and Chen Hao.
