> Princess Silver Recap

Yu Wenjie arrives at Li Zhiyuan's old manor only to find it deserted, with only a few servants remaining. He orders his men to arrest them for interrogation. Meanwhile, Leng Yan reports to Wu You that according to Wu Xiangzi's investigation, during the ambush of Minister Qin, all his secretariat students were killed, yet Li Zhiyuan was promoted and gained the trust of Yu Shihai. This suggests Li Zhiyuan is a coward who values his life, making suicide unlikely.

Later, Man Yao comes to Wu You's manor to announce her departure. Just then, Fu Chou arrives, much to the surprise of both Man Yao and Wu You. Wu You notes their apparent familiarity, but Fu Chou explains that he only met Man Yao briefly in Vernicia Alley and doesn't know her name, though Man Yao internally recalls they actually met on Front Yard Street. Fu Chou then sincerely thanks Wu You for the strategy that saved his surrounded army.

He also apologizes for pressuring Wu You at court, explaining it was a necessity, and offers a lead on Li Zhiyuan, revealing his hiding place in Lin Village. Man Yao seizes the opportunity to ask Fu Chou to escort her back to Moon Embrace Teahouse. Wu You interjects, pointing out the inconvenience of their different routes, but Fu Chou offers to accompany her all the way to sample its famous tea.

Seeing them agree and prepare to leave together, a displeased and jealous Wu You reluctantly permits their departure before ordering Leng Yan to prepare his own horses. During the carriage ride, Fu Chou thanks Man Yao for helping conceal his early return to the capital, which she agrees to keep secret. Upon their arrival at Moon Embrace Teahouse, Fu Chou excuses himself, stating he has other duties.

Man Yao then informs Long Yue that she has a lead on "The Book of Mountain and River." She instructs Long Yue to secretly conduct a background check on General Fu and tells Xiao Sha to gather his best men to follow Wu You. Yu Wenjie's men track down Li Zhiyuan, who is living in seclusion as a woodcutter. As Yu Wenjie prepares to silence him, Wu You and his men arrive and intervene.

Li Zhiyuan flees in the chaos but is intercepted by a masked Man Yao. In a secluded spot, she presses him for the whereabouts of "The Book of Mountain and River." He confesses that the book is likely hidden within a secret chamber in the old Qin Manor. Just as he speaks, Wu You appears and holds both Man Yao and Li Zhiyuan captive.

Before he can unmask Man Yao, black-clad assassins sent by Yu Wenjie descend upon them, killing Li Zhiyuan with a volley of arrows. In the pandemonium, Wu You is struck by a poisoned arrow and collapses. Seeing this, Man Yao removes her mask, exposing her identity to suck the venom from his wound. Having saved him, she quickly leaves, stating that they are now even.

Rong Le returns to her manor and writes to her Imperial Brother, Rong Qi, conveying the news of her lead on "The Book of Mountain and River." She also shares her new, more positive perspective on Wu You, urging her brother to consider him an ally. Xiao Sha, however, cautions her against trusting others easily.

Meanwhile, the recovering Wu You learns that someone saved him by sucking out the poison, leading him to suspect that another faction besides Yu Wenjie's is after the book. Elsewhere, Yu Wenjie boasts about using assassins from the Creed of Vengeance in the ambush, lamenting their failure to eliminate Wu You. Upon receiving the letter, Rong Qi is displeased by Rong Le's admiration for Wu You.

His mood worsens when a report arrives detailing how Rong Le was framed, jailed, and then rescued and sheltered by Wu You, sparking rumors of their closeness. He dismisses the report and inquires about a divine physician, learning that while the physician is missing, a secret apprentice is still alive. At that moment, the Empress Dowager bursts in, confronting Rong Qi for having her blocked.

She reveals that she has read his letters from Northern Lin and coldly reminds him of their agreement and the urgency of their shared goal. Later, Rong Le grows suspicious of her maids. Her fears are confirmed when Xiao Sha catches Lian Xin meeting a man and receiving a letter. Lian Xin claims it is a love letter, but dipping it in water reveals a secret message.

As Lian Xin denies being a spy, Ling Yue feigns guilt, falsely confessing to having helped Lian Xin meet her lover. Xiao Sha then produces silver needles found in Lian Xin’s room, implicating her in a previous incident where Princess Zhao Yun fainted.

For the final proof, Rong Le has Lian Xin place her hand in water; Lian Xin’s panicked denial about touching a secret message box—a detail she shouldn't have known—betrays her guilt, which is confirmed when the water changes color. Despite the evidence, Rong Le shows mercy, terminating Lian Xin’s servitude and allowing her to leave Northern Lin with her lover.

While examining Li Zhiyuan's body, Wu You discovers a pawn shop receipt hidden in his hairpin and orders Leng Yan to investigate its origin. Meanwhile, Long Yue delivers Rong Qi's reply to Rong Le and reports that her background check on Fu Chou paints him as an exemplary figure with no flaws. Rong Le finds this perfect image unsettling and terrifying, and Long Yue agrees to investigate further.

Rong Le concludes the book must be in the old Qin Manor, now Yu Shihai's fort. Just then, Chen Yu arrives with an invitation for Rong Le to perform at Yu Shihai's upcoming birthday feast, which Rong Le sees as the perfect opportunity to infiltrate the fort. On the day of the feast, Yu Wenjie smugly remarks that Prince Li's lavish gift is a sign of submission.

Man Yao, disguised as Chen Yu's assistant, slips away to search for the secret chamber. She discovers a vault and enters, but the door slams shut, revealing a trap set by Yu Wenjie. He appears and taunts her, questioning her motives. Man Yao retorts by questioning the large amount of wealth hidden in the vault, implying he is planning a rebellion. Angered, Yu Wenjie leaves her locked inside and heads to the banquet.

There, General Fu Chou subtly challenges Wu You, lamenting that Chen Yu's talents are suppressed and questioning whether recent events are for the good of all or merely a way for "corruption to get rid of rivals."
