> Princess Silver Recap

Building on the previous episode, Princess Rong Le and Prince Li Wu You were enacting a strategic ruse to stabilize Wu You's military morale for an upcoming northern campaign. This was a response to public outrage fueled by previous incidents involving Rong Le, such as the "white-haired demon" and "male consort" affairs, which had threatened to undermine his authority.

Their apparent separation was a calculated move, as protecting Rong Le publicly would have further alienated the populace, despite Wu You's deep devotion to her. In the current episode, Ning Qianyi explained to Luo Yan that he accepted the alliance to fulfill his aspiration for a world without war, an aspiration he claimed to share with her. Luo Yan countered that this act went against kindness and right conduct.

Ning Qianyi, however, defined his past actions—saving, keeping, and educating Luo Yan—as kindness, and her years of enduring humiliation in Northern Lin to obtain "The Book of Mountains and Rivers" as right conduct. He argued that after a year, they still hadn't deciphered the book's secrets, making an honorable unification of the land impossible.

He asserted that discarding smaller righteousness for a greater one was necessary for those who do great things, especially when a shortcut could reduce the number of sacrificed soldiers. Luo Yan expressed concern for Rong Le, Wu You, and particularly Ning Qianyi's consort, Zhao Yun. Ning Qianyi sternly warned Luo Yan that if she revealed anything to Zhao Yun, their years of friendship would end.

Seeing his resolve, Luo Yan disclosed that Rong Le was a descendant of the Qin family and the only one who knew the book's secret, thus making her indispensable. Later, Rong Le questioned Wu You about the identity of those who had impersonated the Seven Asuras, noting their martial arts skills were different despite looking identical. Wu You suspected they were from the Creed of Vengeance.

Rong Le then revealed her suspicions about Ling Yue, sensing something amiss from the moment Ling Yue approached Yali. She believed Ling Yue deliberately twisted the truth and planned Yali's death to frame her, which led Rong Le to follow her to Chen to uncover the full extent of the instigator's schemes.

Wu You confirmed that Ling Yue arranged for a lover to enter the manor; he had murdered Chun Ni the day before and then disguised himself as Chun Ni to enter Rong Le's room. Rong Le expressed her profound sadness, feeling betrayed by someone she treated as a sister. Wu You cautioned her that Ling Yue likely harbored ulterior motives from the start, and her cruelty proved she lacked genuine affection.

Rong Le then mentioned seeing a person resembling Chen Yu in Prince Zhenbei's manor. Wu You admitted his long-standing suspicions, pointing out the suspicious timing of Ning Qianyi's visits to Moon Embrace Teahouse under the guise of alliance, immediately followed by Chen Yu's actions after his departure. Wu You's Hidden Ones tracked Chen Yu to the border of Chen.

Rong Le then shared her other purpose in Chen: to purchase warhorses, noting Chen's renowned horses and how Ning Qianyi's past dowry of a thousand warhorses to Northern Lin had ended up in Fu Chou's hands, giving him a military advantage. She expressed deep worry for Zhao Yun, who was pregnant with Ning Qianyi's child, questioning how Zhao Yun would cope if Ning Qianyi was truly behind Chen Yu's actions regarding the book.

Wu You assured her he would not upset Zhao Yun unless absolutely necessary but acknowledged the difficulty in acquiring warhorses if Ning Qianyi had vast ambitions. He decided to approach the young, newly enthroned 10-year-old Chen Emperor. The next day, Wu You, having learned the Chen Emperor was in West Market Street, waited at a tea house. Soon, he saw a young boy in yellow robes, the Emperor, being playfully chased by soldiers.

Wu You swiftly intervened, saving the Emperor from a collision with a carriage. On a rooftop, the Emperor surprisingly recognized Wu You and revealed his knowledge of Wu You's identity, his purpose in Chen, and events in Northern Lin, admitting his playful facade was a way to observe people. Meanwhile, a minister suggested the Chen Emperor take charge of state affairs, which Ning Qianyi found amusing.

Learning that the carriage that nearly hit the Emperor belonged to Rong Qi, Ning Qianyi suspected Rong Qi had other reasons for being in Chen beyond Rong Le. He immediately dispatched Li Wu to monitor Rong Qi and gather information on Wu You, who Lin Shen had reported was secretly in Chen. Elsewhere, Rong Le conversed with Zhao Yun, subtly probing her feelings for Ning Qianyi.

Zhao Yun spoke of Ning Qianyi with admiration, describing him as bold, righteous, attentive, and a good man, clearly smitten. Rong Le began to ask what Zhao Yun would do if Ning Qianyi turned out to be different from her expectations, but Ning Qianyi arrived before Zhao Yun could answer. Ning Qianyi presented a collection of meticulously crafted baby clothes for their unborn child, much to Zhao Yun's delight.

He then invited Rong Le to a feast the next day in Qianlin Garden. Rong Le initially declined, citing her unhealed wounds and inability to drink. Ning Qianyi explained that both Wu You and Fu Chou desired to buy warhorses, but Chen had a limited supply and could only sell to one party. He requested Rong Le's advice, given her familiarity with both men. Reluctantly, Rong Le agreed to attend.

Rong Qi, who had arrived in Chen primarily to find a permanent cure for Rong Le's poison and also to locate Lin Shen, anxiously awaited Rong Le's arrival at Qianlin Garden. However, his guard delivered urgent news: Lin Shen's tracks had been discovered. Rong Qi immediately abandoned his plan to meet Rong Le and ordered an immediate search for Lin Shen, prioritizing his capture. At the feast, Fu Chou and Ning Qianyi were present.

A servant from Rong Qi arrived to inform them that Rong Qi was unwell and would not attend, surprising everyone. Fu Chou asked Rong Le if her separation from Wu You was permanent. Rong Le did not reply. Ning Qianyi then suggested that Rong Le reconsider Fu Chou, implying Wu You was not her ideal match. Before Rong Le could respond, Wu You appeared dramatically at the feast.

He expressed his displeasure at seeing Fu Chou in Chen and confronted Ning Qianyi, questioning his decision to sell warhorses to his "enemy" after forming an alliance with the southern border. The three men engaged in a heated exchange, each offering enticing conditions for the warhorses. Ning Qianyi then turned to Rong Le, asking her to make the choice. Wu You feigned disinterest in having Rong Le involved.

After a few drinks, Rong Le declared that the warhorses should be sold to neither of them, but rather to her. Rong Le used the jade pendant Ning Qianyi had given her in Northern Lin, reminding him of his promise to grant her a favor, to claim the warhorses. Ning Qianyi countered that Wu You also possessed a jade pendant and could make the same demand, putting him in a difficult position.

Wu You swiftly interjected, telling Ning Qianyi to sell the warhorses to Rong Le, adding that he wanted to see how a woman with nothing would build her own army. Fu Chou, seeing Rong Le's determination, withdrew from the competition and even offered to cover the cost of Rong Le's warhorses. Rong Le declined his offer, requesting only the return of her dowry from her marriage to Northern Lin, stating that it would be a clean break between them.

After Rong Le left, Fu Chou attempted to follow her, but Wu You drew his sword, pointing it at Fu Chou. Ning Qianyi intervened, mediating between them, and arranged for both to be escorted back to their chambers. On her way back, a maidservant from the manor discreetly stole Rong Le's jade pendant.

Later, Rong Le was intercepted by Rong Qi, who claimed to have found a permanent cure for her poison and urged her to return to Western Qi for treatment. Rong Le, having been deceived repeatedly by him, refused and demanded he release her. Unexpectedly, Chen Yu secretly intervened, rescuing Rong Le and warning her of danger, urging her to leave Chen immediately with Wu You.

However, Rong Le could not leave Chen, as she was now certain "The Book of Mountains and Rivers" was in Ning Qianyi's possession. That night, Zhao Yun went to Qianlin Garden, but Li Wu intercepted her. He explained that Ning Qianyi had arranged for Rong Le to stay there to create an opportunity for Wu You and Rong Le to reconcile. Understanding this, Zhao Yun retreated, sending a hangover soup for Ning Qianyi and expressing her hope that Wu You and Rong Le would reconcile.
