> Princess Silver Recap

After Prince Li and Prince Chen left the teahouse, Long Yue escorted Rong Le through a secret passage to safely return to the Princess's mansion. She arrived just in time to allay the suspicions of Madam Qiu, who had become wary of her absence. Later that evening, Prince Chen heard his brother, Prince Li, playing the xun, which brought back old memories.

He recalled that after his mother passed away when he was four, Lady Yun, Prince Li's mother, took him in and raised him. He often had nightmares, and Lady Yun would stay by his side, playing the xun until he fell asleep. Although Prince Li had initially felt Prince Chen took Lady Yun away from him and often ignored him, he was always the first to stand up for Prince Chen when others picked on him.

Prince Chen hoped Prince Li would now intervene in Sir Zhao's case, but Prince Li dismissed him, stating it was not a matter for them to discuss. Back in her room, Rong Le examined an item she had found in the teahouse, realizing it was evidence of rank-selling by the Crown Prince and the Minister of Personnel. Captain Xiao informed Rong Le that the Crown Prince was ambitious, cruel, and petty, urging her to be cautious.

Rong Le then questioned Captain Xiao about her own past, but his inability to provide clear answers only deepened the uncertainty surrounding her lost memories. Madam Qiu soon delivered an invitation from the Empress for a ball to be held in three days. Upon reviewing the guest list, Rong Le noted that while Prince Li's name was present, the majority of the other attendees were unmarried princes.

She correctly surmised that the Empress was planning a large-scale matchmaking event for her. On the day of the banquet, Rong Le was en route in formal attire when she encountered Prince Qing He's elder son harassing Princess Zhao Yun, an orphan princess. Princess Zhao Yun took refuge behind Rong Le, but the prince, undeterred, boldly tried to remove Rong Le's mask to humiliate her. Rong Le swiftly kicked him aside.

During the struggle, her mask came loose, nearly revealing her face just as Prince Li arrived. He intervened, dismissing the prince and noting Rong Le's martial arts skills. Aware of Prince Li's two well-known taboos—his aversion to alcohol and his refusal to touch women—Rong Le deliberately acted overly friendly toward him. As the Empress arrived, Prince Li, using the excuse of his mother's upcoming death anniversary, promptly departed, much to Rong Le's satisfaction. With Prince Li gone, the banquet commenced.

The Empress showed great concern for Rong Le, who seized the opportunity to request permission to leave the mansion without a guard escort, explaining that their presence drew too much attention. The Empress granted her request. Rong Le then feigned interest in Prince Chen, hoping to learn more about him. Trying to deter her, Prince Chen claimed his favorite pastime was visiting brothels.

Rong Le played along, expressing a desire to see such places herself, which prompted the flustered prince to feign illness and quickly excuse himself. Later, Rong Le disguised herself as a man to investigate the city. To cover her absence, her handmaidens Lian Xin and Leng Yue, with Captain Xiao's help, had to prevent a suspicious Madam Qiu from entering her chambers.

They claimed the princess was ill and resting, with Leng Yue posing as Rong Le in bed, successfully deceiving Madam Qiu. Meanwhile, the disguised Rong Le visited the House of Fragrance, a brothel, seeking to meet the top courtesan, Miss Chen Yu. The madam informed her that Chen Yu was already reserved. To Rong Le's surprise, she discovered that one of the patrons was Prince Li.

Rong Le paid a hefty sum to arrange for Chen Yu to visit her room first. Once Chen Yu entered, Rong Le revealed her true purpose. She explained that sixteen years ago, an official named Yu, implicated in Qin Yong's mutiny, had his family executed, but the body of his youngest daughter, Yu Cheng, was never found. Rong Le confirmed that Chen Yu was, in fact, Yu Cheng. She stated she was seeking the truth about the past.

In return for help, Chen Yu asked Rong Le to free her from the brothel, revealing its powerful backer was the Crown Prince. Following Rong Le's instructions, Chen Yu went to perform for Prince Li and Prince Chen. During her dance, she deliberately touched Prince Li's shoulder. He reacted violently, kicking her away. As Chen Yu fled downstairs crying for help, Prince Li, enraged, followed and demanded her life for the transgression, insisting her hands be cut off.

At this critical moment, Rong Le, still in her male disguise as Man Yao, owner of the Moon Embrace Teahouse, stepped forward to intervene. Prince Li recognized her from the teahouse. Maintaining her disguise, Rong Le apologized for her previous ignorance of his royal status. She then presented the evidence against the Crown Prince she had found, asking if it was sufficient to spare Chen Yu's life. Prince Li dismissed the evidence as meaningless. Instead, he made a chilling counteroffer: Rong Le could trade her own hand for Chen Yu's life.
