Though aware that Xue Jingkong had saved her and miraculously healed her wounds, Feng Ruche, burdened by heavy responsibilities, suppressed her personal feelings to prioritize her mission. She was deeply saddened by the death of Bai Dangdang, who had promised not to change for a hundred years.
Upon waking, Feng Ruche asked about Xue Jingkong, learning from Lin Yuecong and Fang Qimo that he had saved them and then left. Despite her urgent desire to find Xue Jingkong, Lin Yuecong reminded her that General Yun Muyang had been captured, and the Silver Wings Cavalry was without a leader, relying on her as their hope. Feng Ruche arrived to find the soldiers arguing.
Tie Ying, a confidant of Yun Muyang, was stirring dissent, suggesting the Cavalry split up and move apart because Yun Muyang was captured. He dismissed Feng Ruche as an inexperienced young woman from the Wuxiang Camp, questioning her right to lead. Feng Ruche asserted her authority, stating that because she possessed the golden wings, not only the Cavalry but all of Lanzhou must obey her. Tie Ying scoffed, bringing up Du Xianyin, who also had golden wings, as a counterexample.
He then tried to convince others to follow him to dig up treasure hidden by Qi Zhenxian, whom he believed to be a double-faced traitor, citing proofs they had seen. Feng Ruche recognized Tie Ying's true intention was to become a king. She questioned if his words were impulsive or sincere, but he reiterated his plan to find Qi Zhenxian's treasure. Declaring Tie Ying's actions as insubordination and military deception, Feng Ruche ordered his arrest.
Tie Ying attacked her first, but in the ensuing struggle, Feng Ruche accidentally killed him. The soldiers, now unified, pledged their loyalty to the Winged Empress. Feng Ruche rallied them, emphasizing that as long as they remained united and had faith, they would reclaim everything they had lost. She then appointed Fang Qimo as Deputy General and Lin Yuecong to take Bai Dangdang's former position. Meanwhile, Xue Jingkong contemplated eliminating Wei Yuanting to alleviate Feng Ruche's burdens.
However, his cryo sickness suddenly flared up, and Xuyu also pursued Xue Jingkong. Du Xianyin secretly followed Xue Jingkong, witnessing his intense battle with Xuyu. Observing Xuyu's formidable power, Du Xianyin saw an opportunity to get rid of Xue Jingkong. Just as both Xue Jingkong and Xuyu were wounded, Xing Shangli appeared and helped Xue Jingkong leave the scene. Xuyu, also severely injured, returned to his master to report his failure.
His master, displeased with his repeated failures, struck him with a sword. Du Xianyin then arrived, and as she approached, Xuyu, clinging to life, grabbed her ankle and begged her to save him. Xue Jingkong knew that if the Flower Goddess was born (when the flower fully bloomed), he would die. He explained that if Feng Ruche lived, he would die, and vice versa, expressing his unwillingness to let her be harmed.
Du Xianyin successfully revived Xuyu, whose voice returned, and he pledged his loyalty to her as his new master, eager to please her. Du Xianyin explained to Xuan Ji that Xuyu, once recovered, would be a valuable tool to eliminate Xue Jingkong, and with Xue Jingkong gone, Feng Ruche would pose no threat. Xuan Ji lamented that with Qi Zhenxian dead, defeating Wei Yuanting had become more difficult.
She suggested Du Xianyin use her beauty to seduce Mu Qi, one of Wei Yuanting's lustful followers. Du Xianyin hesitated, asking if she truly had to make such a sacrifice. Acknowledging their shared dream of reuniting Lanzhou, Feng Ruche knelt before Yu Guocong, who dismounted by stepping on her shoulder, asking for desperately needed supplies for her ninety thousand troops. Impressed by her willingness to humble herself, Yu Guocong agreed to an alliance. The combined forces of the Silver Wings Cavalry and Yu Guocong quickly conquered Yan City. Meanwhile, Wei Yuanting interrogated Yun Muyang, attempting to extract the map of the Silver Wings' hiding place.
Yun Muyang remained defiant, refusing to speak despite torture. Wei Yuanting, enraged, was about to execute him when Du Xianyin intervened. She convinced Wei Yuanting that killing Yun Muyang would make it impossible to control the Cavalry, and offered to question him herself. Wei Yuanting agreed, warning her not to help him escape. He later experienced this as a vivid dream in which Du Xianyin appeared, reminding him of their first meeting at Wuji Arena and claiming his half-broken wooden hairpin was proof of his lingering feelings for her. He insisted their relationship was over, but she vowed he would never forget her. Upon waking, still in his cell, Yun Muyang convinced himself it was merely a dream and firmly resolved to never love Du Xianyin again, reminding himself she was his enemy.
Xuyu, having helped Du Xianyin orchestrate Yun Muyang's perception of the dream, confirmed Yun Muyang believed it was just a dream, expressing his pleasure in serving his new mistress. Following these events, Lin Yuecong and Fang Qimo devised a plan to rescue Yun Muyang. They set a fire as a diversion while they stealthily made their way into the deepest prison in Nanyu City, calling out for General Yun.
