> Nice to Meet You Recap
Pan Yue shows Gao Hai her latest drawings, impressing him with her artistic improvement. Gao Hai, seeking to keep his visit a secret from Gao Jie, asks Sister Qin, Pan Yue’s caregiver, not to mention his presence due to a minor misunderstanding between him and his daughter. Sister Qin agrees to his request. Later, Gao Jie and Si Cheng present their "Wheel of Time" design to Lei Xiangdong.
He is initially displeased, reminding them of his preference for an ornate Western style. Gao Jie, however, asks for a minute to explain. She meticulously describes how the design, shaped like an unending wheel, incorporates Jiangnan garden window patterns, subtly referencing Lei Xiangdong’s hometown and his deep, underlying appreciation for traditional Chinese culture, evident in his office decor and philanthropic work.
She explains that the flawless Paraiba tourmaline, central to the design, acts as an "eye of wisdom" looking forward, symbolizing their shared ambition for Chinese design to transcend national borders. Lei Xiangdong is deeply touched, acknowledging that this is "exactly the design I want."
Despite his lingering concerns about presenting a classic Chinese theme at an international exhibition, Gao Jie and Si Cheng reassure him of the growing international appeal of Chinese culture, asserting that "Wheel of Time" brilliantly reincarnates traditional aesthetics through a modern lens. Convinced by their confidence, Lei Xiangdong gives them his approval to proceed with the final product. Meanwhile, He Wenwen presents a new design, an ancient poetry-inspired piece, intending it for Lei Xiangdong’s Paraiba tourmaline.
Si Cheng praises its intricacy but suggests she develop it into a company series. He then informs her that Lei Xiangdong’s project has been assigned to Gao Jie. He Wenwen is greatly upset, reminding Si Cheng that she was initially given the project and gathered all the materials. Si Cheng explains that the company prioritizes the most compatible design, and Gao Jie's concept won over Lei Xiangdong.
He Wenwen sarcastically questions how Gao Jie, who "can't even draw the simple preliminary design," could be in charge, implying Si Cheng is doing the actual drawing. Si Cheng emphasizes that the design's most important element is the concept, which he is merely helping Gao Jie to realize. He Wenwen, frustrated, makes a sarcastic remark about his authority and leaves, casting a resentful glance at Gao Jie’s design.
At Lei Xiangdong’s company, while Gao Jie and Si Cheng are discussing the brooch's mounting with a craftsman, Lei Xiangdong arrives with Yu Zhi. Lei Xiangdong introduces Yu Zhi as President Yu of Rui Hua and praises Gao Jie’s impressive traditional Chinese design. Yu Zhi examines the design, commenting on its "graceful" Chinese style and asking if it is finalized. Si Cheng confirms they have already begun the casing work.
Yu Zhi then excuses himself to make a call, but not before subtly questioning Lei Xiangdong about his earlier preference for an "ornate and luxurious" design. Lei Xiangdong clarifies that Gao Jie and Si Cheng persuaded him to "remain faithful to myself" and that their design "touched my heart." Gao Jie, clearly uncomfortable with Yu Zhi's presence, also excuses herself. He Wenwen later contacts Gao Hui, expressing her desire to join Rui Hua.
Initially dismissive, Gao Hui is stopped by He Wenwen, who proposes an alliance against their mutual enemy, Gao Jie. He Wenwen recounts how Gao Jie previously upstaged Gao Hui at Rui Hua's anniversary event, and further maligns Gao Jie’s character, accusing her of being manipulative and stealing clients and designs. She stresses that only she and Gao Hui understand Gao Jie's true nature, while others are deceived by her "pitiful front."
Intrigued, Gao Hui listens as He Wenwen reveals that Gao Jie has become "a handicap who's lost all ability as a designer" and "can't even draw one single line smoothly." This information visibly surprises Gao Hui. Gao Jie later runs into Yu Zhi again at Lei Xiangdong’s company, where he provokes her into a tense argument about their past until Si Cheng intervenes. Immediately after, Lei Xiangdong invites them all to dinner.
Yu Zhi tries to decline by saying he has a date with Gao Hui, but Lei Xiangdong insists she join as well, gathering the four rivals at one table. The atmosphere is strained. Lei Xiangdong makes a toast but soon receives an urgent call and has to leave, apologizing and inviting them to continue ordering. As soon as he departs, Gao Hui immediately turns sarcastic, questioning their "remarkably brave" decision to dine together.
She then intimately serves Yu Zhi, claiming she is dieting. Si Cheng quickly serves Gao Jie in return. Yu Zhi then makes a veiled sarcastic comment, prompting Gao Jie to stand up in anger and leave the table. Si Cheng rushes after her, leaving Gao Hui looking pleased. As they drive away, Gao Jie remains silent and withdrawn. Si Cheng breaks the silence by informing her that He Wenwen has joined Rui Hua, which surprises Gao Jie.
The next day, Si Cheng receives a lawyer's letter from Lei Xiangdong, followed by a notice for a substantial compensation sum. He and Gao Jie immediately go to Lei Xiangdong's company. Meanwhile, Gao Hai takes Pan Yue to a doctor. The doctor notes Pan Yue's improved condition and suggests that old photographs or discussions about past events could help awaken her memories.
Afterward, Gao Hai takes Pan Yue home and discreetly buys groceries, including dishes he knows Gao Jie likes, still wishing to keep his visit from his daughter. At Lei Xiangdong's company, he furiously confronts Si Cheng and Gao Jie, accusing them of plagiarism and asserting that the "Wheel of Time" design belongs to He Wenwen of Rui Hua. Gao Hui, present at the meeting, reinforces the accusation by producing copyright certification.
Feeling betrayed, Lei Xiangdong demands Si Cheng prepare for compensation. In a separate meeting, Gao Hui shows Yu Zhi the design, presenting He Wenwen's version as the original that Gao Jie allegedly copied, leaving Yu Zhi visibly disturbed. Gao Jie indignantly confronts Gao Hui, demanding to know how she stole her design. Gao Hui, with a dismissive air, calls Gao Jie a "thief."
Observing the exchange, Yu Zhi adds to Gao Jie's pain with a sarcastic remark about her "acting pitiful," leaving Gao Jie heartbroken and chilled. Returning home, Gao Jie manages a forced smile for Pan Yue, who happily pulls her to dinner. Sister Qin, following Gao Hai's earlier instruction, tells Gao Jie that Pan Yue insisted on buying the groceries. Unsuspecting, Gao Jie blames herself for the troubles and burdens she has brought upon Si Cheng.
