Having seen Gao Jie's unwavering resolve and how she did not turn against her despite her relationship with Yu Zhi, Mu Ziyun accepted that Gao Jie’s decisions were hard to change. She told Gao Jie that while she had always opposed her relationship with Yu Zhi, she now understood that Gao Jie still cared for her, not letting Yu Zhi come between them.
Mu Ziyun then stated that she would no longer oppose Gao Jie and Yu Zhi being together, though she clarified that this did not mean she endorsed it. She simply did not want to lose her beloved niece and ruin their relationship because of Yu Zhi, reminding Gao Jie that she was always the most important.
Gao Jie thanked her aunt, expressing her desire for Mu Ziyun’s understanding and blessing, and promised to prove her choice was right through her happiness. Gao Hui, recalling how Pan Yue intimately called Mu Ziyun "Xiao Yun," suspected a hidden connection between them. The next day, she visited Pan Yue at the sanatorium, bringing snacks and playing a photo identification game to coax information from her.
When shown a picture of Mu Ziyun, Pan Yue called her "Xiao Yun," and upon further prompting, revealed that "Xiao Yun" was her younger sister. Meanwhile, Yu Zhi and Gao Jie met with a wedding planner. Gao Jie asked Yu Zhi about his presence at the tea house with Gao Hui earlier.
Yu Zhi explained that Mu Ziyun had introduced her to the tea house owner, Mr. Zhao Yue, who wanted a special piece designed for the 30th anniversary of meeting his first girlfriend. Yu Zhi then confessed that Gao Hui had insisted on accompanying him, claiming she had a lead on Mu Ziyun. Gao Jie playfully forgave him, acknowledging he wouldn't dare to be with other women now that they were getting married.
Later, at home, both exhausted from the wedding preparations, Gao Jie admitted she was overwhelmed. She understood that Grandma's grand plans were well-intentioned to prevent her from feeling slighted, but she yearned for a simple, peaceful wedding, ideally at the place where they first met. Yu Yi arranged a highly sought-after interview for Gao Hui in a top-tier jewelry magazine to promote her Hui Xin brand.
However, during the interview, the journalist repeatedly brought up Wu Xiaoci, Gao Hui’s mother, suggesting that Gao Hui’s opportunity was primarily due to Yu Yi's strong recommendation and Wu Xiaoci's influence. Gao Hui, though displeased by the constant comparison, decided to continue. However, Yu Yi, unable to tolerate Gao Hui being belittled, abruptly ended the interview, stating he would personally apologize to the editor.
Outside, Gao Hui confronted Yu Yi, asking why he would jeopardize such an important opportunity for Hui Xin. Yu Yi insisted he refused to let anyone look down on her, stating he knew her talent and hard work, and her success had nothing to do with anyone else.
Gao Hui argued that he would regret this, but Yu Yi, resolute, declared he would never regret anything he did for her and reiterated his promise to make Hui Xin a global brand. Despite his heartfelt declaration that he would give everything to her without expecting anything in return, Gao Hui tearfully apologized, admitting she couldn't accept his kindness because her heart still belonged to Yu Zhi, reminding herself not to fall for Yu Yi.
Undeterred by Yu Zhi's refusal to answer her calls, Gao Hui, now aware of Mu Ziyun and Gao Jie's relationship, vowed to expose them at their engagement party. She angrily stated that if Yu Zhi wouldn't listen to her warnings, she would ensure everyone knew, making it impossible for him and Gao Jie to be together.
Meanwhile, Yu Zhi led Gao Jie to a secluded spot he had decorated to resemble the rainforest where they first met, complete with tents and lush greenery. He explained that he created this special place because she desired a simple wedding, just the two of them. He presented her with a beautiful wedding dress, promising to fulfill all her wishes. Gao Jie changed into the dress, and Yu Zhi was mesmerized, calling her "so beautiful."
They exchanged simple vows, which they both felt deeply. As Yu Zhi leaned in to kiss her, Gao Jie stopped him, wanting to first draw a wedding ring on their fingers. Yu Zhi then took out a prepared ring, knelt on one knee, and formally proposed, asking, "Gao Jie, will you marry me?" Gao Jie tearfully accepted, and Yu Zhi placed the ring on her finger.
The next morning, Gao Jie and Yu Zhi awoke in the tent, their hands intertwined, wearing their wedding rings. Gao Jie considered confessing everything about her connection to Mu Ziyun, but Yu Zhi's phone rang before she could. It was Li Zishen, reporting that he had seen Mu Ziyun secretly meeting General Manager Ju at a coffee shop.
He relayed that Ju had given her a contract, but Mu Ziyun, not even looking at it, demanded an additional two percent of Rui Hua's shares, confident in her victory. Yu Zhi grew tense, wondering what they were plotting. Gao Jie, overhearing this, fell into deep thought, realizing it was not the right time for her confession. Yu Zhi, his mind heavy with the new information, drove Gao Jie home. Gao Jie kissed his cheek before heading inside.
She was overjoyed to find that Yu Zhi had transformed her apartment's background wall into a beautiful "Tree of Life" and left a heartfelt note, leaving her enveloped in happiness. Separately, Yu Yi investigated General Manager Ju. He found it implausible that Mu Ziyun could leverage Rui Hua with merely two percent of its shares, but Yu Zhi suspected a deeper scheme.
Yu Yi immediately tried to contact General Manager Zhou of Fansi but was informed that he was on vacation. Yu Zhi then confronted Yu Guanghua, asking if he had made any moves on his shares. Yu Guanghua vehemently denied it, claiming his shares were his life, and clarified that the money he had been spending recently was all from Mu Ziyun. Yu Zhi sensed something was amiss.
His suspicions were confirmed when he realized the contract Mu Ziyun had made Yu Guanghua sign earlier was actually a share transfer agreement, securing 14% of Yu Guanghua's shares for a third party. Yu Guanghua panicked, and Yu Zhi urged him to keep quiet to avoid alarming Mu Ziyun. Yu Zhi and Yu Yi were greatly troubled by Mu Ziyun's manipulation, having now acquired shares from both General Manager Zhou and Yu Guanghua.
Fortunately, their combined shareholding still amounted to 51%. As Gao Jie later worked on designing a "Tree of Life" pendant for Yu Zhi, Pan Yue, upon seeing her design, suddenly changed demeanor, transforming into an authoritative figure who began to direct Gao Jie, leaving Gao Jie completely bewildered.
