My Poseidon Episode 34 (Ending) Recap
> My Poseidon Recap
Mo Liang was on the verge of surgery, and Liu Lan stayed by his bedside, which brought a sense of calm to An Fei. Liu Lan informed An Fei and Ye Hai that Jiang Zhi intended to expand the exploitation project. She had, however, pre-set a safety threshold in the proposal, ensuring the experiment would remain within safe limits. Liu Lan expressed that this was all she could do, feeling powerless to intervene further.
Upon learning this, Ye Hai immediately rushed to the lab to prevent Jiang Zhi from continuing the extraction. Jiang Zhi remained obstinate, prompting Ye Hai to bring up the sea accident that claimed his parents' lives thirteen years prior. Unfazed, Jiang Zhi challenged Ye Hai to provide evidence and take him to court, asserting that since Han Hai had already withdrawn its investment, Ye Hai had no right to question the experiment's contents.
Ye Hai, undeterred, stated his only purpose was to stop the experiment immediately. The other researchers in the lab, who already disagreed with Jiang Zhi's actions, followed Ye Hai out, leaving Jiang Zhi isolated and unable to proceed. As Mo Liang's surgery began, Liu Lan accompanied him into the operating room, holding his hand tightly and begging for his forgiveness. Mo Liang gently told her not to trouble herself further, then weakly smiled as he was wheeled in.
Ye Hai later boasted to An Fei that he had successfully resolved the experimental crisis by bringing all the experts and researchers back, leaving Jiang Zhi to manage alone. An Fei listened intently, eyes wide, as Ye Hai playfully suggested she might be unemployed now that the experiment had stopped and Han Hai had pulled out its funding, adding that he could take care of her.
He jokingly reminded her that he still held her card, implying control over their budget. Unbeknownst to Ye Hai, Jiang Zhi had secretly contacted a group of loyalists and resumed the experiment, cutting off all external communication and maintaining only an internal network. Thankfully, Kang Hao managed to send a message to Ye Hai, updating him on Jiang Zhi's activities and warning that continued experimentation would trigger a major storm.
Meanwhile, Mo Liang's surgery was successful, bringing great joy to his mother, who called An Fei to share the good news and invite her to visit Mo Liang when she had time. As Jiang Zhi continued the exploitation with his team, some researchers grew uneasy, fearing potential problems and voicing their objections. Jiang Zhi vehemently dismissed their concerns, urging them to continue. Just then, police officers arrived and arrested Jiang Zhi for illegal exploitation.
Despite his arrest, Jiang Zhi defiantly claimed that the underwater materials had reacted successfully, while Kang Hao informed him that the experiment had failed and hydro would erupt non-stop, but Jiang Zhi refused to believe it, repeatedly insisting his work could not fail. An Fei visited Mo Liang in the hospital, sincerely expressing her hope that he would find true happiness, reminding him that she would always see him as her beloved brother.
Later, Ye Hai cooked a delicious steak for An Fei, gently urging her to eat well and avoid falling ill in the future. An Fei didn't perceive anything unusual, but in his heart, Ye Hai silently wished for her well-being, contemplating a future where he might not be by her side. He had received news that although Jiang Zhi was apprehended, the experiment had already caused significant underwater instability with potentially widespread impact.
Ye Hai chose to keep this secret from An Fei, fearing it would worry her. An Fei pondered Ye Hai's words, sensing he was concealing something, and sought clarification. Ye Hai, in response, told her that if she ever missed him, she should look at the sea, for the sea connects everything in the world.
He also asked her if he had ever failed to keep his promises, urging her to hold onto the stone he gave her as a symbol of his commitment. An Fei looked into his eyes, feeling their bond was like that of Poseidon and Amphitrite, sharing their longing and love, destined to protect each other for millennia.
She reminisced about his grand gestures, such as attacking Athens for her because she liked it, and his unfailing support, always allowing her to win their gambles. She realized she was his first and only love, and after he had waited for her for thousands of years, it was her turn to wait for him.
An Fei drifted off to sleep in Ye Hai's embrace, but the next morning, she awoke to find him gone, leaving behind a note telling her not to cry. Just then, she received an urgent call from A Ming, telling her to rush to the port. Arriving at the port, An Fei learned of a massive explosion in the South Sea, a direct consequence of the Poseidon experiment.
She was consumed with worry for Ye Hai, searching for him frantically but to no avail. She returned home, but there was still no sign of him, leaving her heartbroken and fearing he had vanished. She remembered his past promise to light the Aegean for her and turn it into the Dolphin Constellation. Desperate to find Ye Hai, An Fei implored Duan Xiche to prepare a boat for her to go to sea immediately.
Duan Xiche, concerned for her safety, refused her request, explaining that the port was blocked due to the explosion, preventing any boats from leaving. He reasoned that Ye Hai could not have been there and expressed his fear of what he would tell Ye Hai if something happened to her. An Fei tearfully pleaded, convinced Ye Hai must be near the platform and would die if not found. Despite her fervent pleas, Duan Xiche remained resolute.
Helpless, An Fei endured days of agonizing waiting. In a moment of despair, she threw the stone Ye Hai had given her into the sea, then walked into the water herself, letting the waves wash over her, declaring she would no longer cry for him or care if he returned. Six months quickly passed. Lin Huayin had started working diligently as a junior employee, with Ye Tian meticulously looking after her and visiting her at work every day.
Meanwhile, Liu Lan and Mo Liang strolled by the sea. Liu Lan had abandoned her pursuit of fleeting fame and fortune, vowing to remain by Mo Liang's side forever. She sincerely proposed marriage to Mo Liang, who was deeply moved by her devotion, and they planned to go to church. An Fei continued to receive a stone each month, knowing they were from Ye Hai, and confronted Duan Xiche for answers.
Duan Xiche vaguely dismissed her questions about Ye Hai's whereabouts, claiming he didn't know and that Ye Hai was likely busy traveling the world for his delivery job. In truth, Duan Xiche knew Ye Hai was undergoing brain surgery, which was successful, but he had not yet regained consciousness. An Fei, disheartened, turned to leave, longing to know where Ye Hai was. Duan Xiche, seeking a way to cheer An Fei up, invited her to go diving.
While underwater, An Fei hallucinated seeing Ye Hai. Duan Xiche insisted no one else was in the pool, but An Fei remained convinced she saw him, her heart aching from the pain of longing. An Fei took out the green stone Ye Hai had given her, recalling Poseidon's words about the green Amphitrite stone, which not only stored memories but also symbolized reunion. She felt a strong intuition that Ye Hai was waiting for her.
Without hesitation, An Fei boarded a plane to Greece. At a museum there, the curator informed her that Ye Hai had not visited, but offered words of comfort, assuring her that every thought of love eventually leads to reunion. An Fei wandered aimlessly through the streets, consumed by her longing for Ye Hai, wishing for his appearance, but seeing no trace of him. Finally, An Fei sat by the sea, feeling utterly desolate.
Suddenly, Ye Hai appeared, sitting beside her with his familiar mischievous and warm smile. An Fei's lips slowly curled into a smile; she had waited for him, and finally, her beautiful love had returned. This time, An Fei vowed never to let go of Ye Hai's hand, their love destined to endure for eternity, just like that of Poseidon and Amphitrite.
