Lin Xing Chen found herself on a sailboat, having been led there by someone in a bear costume. She was initially confused and agitated, demanding to know what was happening. When the mascot removed its head, she was shocked to discover it was Zheng Chu Yao. He had worn the costume thinking it would please her, but she was annoyed, stating that her feelings for the bear had nothing to do with him.
During their argument, Lin Xing Chen tried to call her mother for help, but her mother, believing she was safely with Zheng Chu Yao, encouraged her to enjoy what she presumed was a vacation. Zheng Chu Yao then used Lin Xing Chen's phone to take photos of them, which automatically uploaded to her cloud account. Meanwhile, Jiang Nianyu was preparing to leave for the Vienna Music Conservatory.
His classmates wished him farewell, but he lingered, hoping to see Lin Xing Chen. As his teacher urged him to leave or risk losing his admission, Yu Yang Yang approached. She confessed that she had selfishly forced Lin Xing Chen to reveal her identity and then showed him files about Lin Xing Chen and Zhu Li Ya that had been anonymously placed in her locker.
Realizing a mastermind was at work, Jiang Nianyu learned the files appeared around the 12th and rushed to review security footage, discovering that Daniel was the culprit. Unbeknownst to them, Daniel had placed a GPS tracker in Lin Xing Chen's phone. Seeing her location in Binhai City with Zheng Chu Yao, he deemed it a critical moment for his final attack on the Dolly Corporation and set out to find them.
At home, Zhu Li Ya was posing for photos with her designer bags when she saw the pictures of Lin Xing Chen and Zheng Chu Yao from the cloud. Just then, Jiang Nianyu arrived, anxiously asking for Lin Xing Chen. Zhu Li Ya showed him the photos of the pair on a boat and later in what appeared to be a hotel. Recognizing the location as the W Hotel in Binhai City, Jiang Nianyu immediately left to find them.
Upon hearing about the "elopement," Zheng Chu Yao’s father was furious. Worried about the impending collapse of Dolly Corporation and the damage to his company's reputation if his son married into a failing family, he rejected Chen Ming Li's suggestion to let the children be together. Convinced she was using her daughter, he ordered his assistant to freeze all of Zheng Chu Yao's bank cards and publicly announce that his Re Yao Group had no connection to Dolly Corporation.
At the W Hotel, Zheng Chu Yao grandly booked two top suites after Lin Xing Chen insisted on separate rooms. The next morning, they were woken by hotel staff because Zheng Chu Yao's cards were declined. With Lin Xing Chen not having her wallet, the manager threatened to call the police. Lin Xing Chen intervened, suggesting they pay their debt by working.
They were assigned to wash a mountain of dishes, but Lin Xing Chen, inspired by an inner voice that sounded like Jiang Nianyu, sought a better-paying job and secured a position as a pianist for a proposal event. As Lin Xing Chen played, Daniel arrived at the hotel. Jiang Nianyu, already there, tried to deter him by falsely claiming the waiters were undercover bodyguards. Unconvinced, Daniel prepared to approach Lin Xing Chen.
At that moment, Zheng Chu Yao, having gotten a piece of cake from Lin Xing Chen, spotted Daniel. He shoved the cake into Daniel's hands and pulled Lin Xing Chen away. Hotel staff immediately apprehended Daniel for stealing the cake. As he struggled, Daniel shouted for Lin Xing Chen and was stunned to also see Jiang Nianyu.
Seeing the exits blocked by Daniel's men, Jiang Nianyu and Zheng Chu Yao retreated with Lin Xing Chen to a storage room provided by the hotel manager. Jiang Nianyu silently prepared sleeping arrangements on the floor, creating a partition with a cloth for privacy and reassuring Lin Xing Chen he would protect her. While Zheng Chu Yao was out, Lin Xing Chen asked Jiang Nianyu why she had earlier mistaken him for an illusion.
She then apologized for missing his departure, explaining that Zheng Chu Yao had tricked her with the bear costume. She confessed she only went along because she thought the person in the costume was Jiang Nianyu. He then asked if Zheng Chu Yao was the person she liked, to which she firmly replied, "No."
