With only one tent, it was allocated to the women, while the men prepared to spend the night outside by a bonfire, which they hoped would also serve as a signal for rescuers. Wu Yu also mentioned finding a stream with fresh water, promising to collect some the next day. Inside the tent, Tan Jiao, Chen Ruying, Zhu Jirui, and Chen Ruying's mother, Feng Yan, settled in.
Tan Jiao made pointed remarks about the discomfort of sharing close quarters with strangers, humorously mentioning potential habits like grinding teeth or snoring. Tan Jiao immediately recognized this confrontation as the exact scene from her vision, leading both her and Wu Yu to conclude that Zhou Wei was not the killer, as his threat was a declaration of romantic pursuit, not a murderous intent. Meanwhile, Chen Ruying had an argument with her mother, Feng Yan, and stormed off. Elsewhere in the forest, Zhu Jirui and Yan Yuan were foraging when they witnessed a snake attacking a Red-naped tern's nest.
Yan Yuan quickly intervened, scaring the snake away and carefully placing the nest, which contained an egg, back onto the tree. Zhu Jirui was touched by his compassionate act, looking at him with newfound admiration. As Tan Jiao and Wu Yu continued to search for food, Wu Yu thoughtfully crafted an insect repellent herb bracelet for Tan Jiao.
They shared a quiet, intimate moment, with Tan Jiao expressing how Wu Yu was her constant "coordinate," guiding her home in every timeline. Wu Yu reciprocated, affirming that she was his coordinate too. Zhou Wei, who happened to be nearby, witnessed their tenderness and quietly walked away, a look of sadness on his face, which Tan Jiao noticed. Following Wu Yu's instruction to remain concentrated and not separate, the group began to search the island. As they continued their search, a chilling realization dawned upon them: the previous island, which was only dozens of kilometers away, had completely disappeared. In a terrifying sequence, Zhu Yutong vanished before their very eyes. Wu Yu gripped Tan Jiao’s hand tightly, but as they tried to move forward, he too suddenly disappeared. Left alone and utterly terrified, Tan Jiao was confronted by a black-clad man who appeared behind her – the same individual they had once pursued into a bar.
