Song Chacha and Bai Yongze frequently cross paths with Zhao Yan, Luo Guanjie, and Jiang Shi at restaurants, leading to arguments. Distraught, Song Chacha leaves, and Bai Yongze secretly follows her, concerned for her safety. He enlists a young guy to help coax her home, ensuring her safe return. Shortly after Song Chacha enters her house, two men attack Bai Yongze.
One is Song Chacha's uncle, who instigated the attack, and the other is Cyclops, a man Song Chacha's uncle met in prison. Song Chacha's uncle, having seen news about Bai Yongze causing Zhihao's death, severely injures Bai Yongze's shoulder. Later, Song Chacha learns that her uncle, who was released from prison by Lan Tian, has gone to the resort to discuss her marriage with Lan Tian without her consent.
She rushes to the resort, where she accidentally collides with Bai Yongze. Their phones fall, and Bai Yongze picks them up, commenting on Song Chacha's forgetfulness and expressing hopes for her happiness. Song Chacha's uncle spots Bai Yongze and attempts to attack him again, but Lan Tian intervenes and takes them to dinner. At dinner, Song Chacha's uncle proposes she marry Lan Tian, which Song Chacha quickly dismisses as too soon.
A call from Li Bao to Bai Yongze's phone (which Song Chacha is holding) reveals Li Bao's frantic reaction upon hearing Song Chacha's voice. Later, Coach Huang calls Bai Yongze's phone to inquire about his shoulder injury, and Song Chacha, realizing the severity of the injury, becomes deeply worried. She lies to Lan Tian, claiming to have plans with Zhao Yan, and goes to find Bai Yongze. Lan Tian secretly sees her en route.
Song Chacha finds Bai Yongze at the swimming pool after checking his room and seeing Hou Pu on the phone with Li Bao. She returns Bai Yongze's phone and encourages him to do well in his upcoming competition. Lan Tian, witnessing this from afar, grows furious. Bai Yongze participates in a competition against Olympic champion Sun Yu, despite his severe shoulder injury and doctor's warnings. His injury causes him to finish last, while Lan Tian secures third place.
Watching the broadcast, Song Chacha's uncle proudly confesses that he and Cyclops injured Bai Yongze's shoulder, causing his poor performance. Overwhelmed with guilt, Song Chacha goes to find Bai Yongze. On her way, she meets the young guy who helped Bai Yongze previously, who reveals Bai Yongze's secret care and protection for her. The team doctor also informs her that Bai Yongze's injury is so severe he might never swim again.
Sun Yu, despite winning, encourages Bai Yongze and reminds him of their best-of-three challenge. Song Chacha rushes to Bai Yongze's room, apologizing for her uncle's actions and asking about his silent care. Bai Yongze, fearing Song Chacha might soften towards him, denies everything and has his agent, Hou Pu, remove her. While Song Chacha confides in Zhao Yan about wanting to reconcile with Bai Yongze, Jiang Shi sends Zhao Yan a live broadcast.
In the broadcast, Bai Yongze and Li Bao announce their engagement, a move intended to make Song Chacha leave him. When reporters ask about their first feelings and kisses, Bai Yongze recounts his firsts with Song Chacha, visibly embarrassing Li Bao. Song Chacha watches, heartbroken and in tears.
