Jiang Yuwen, however, miraculously revived on a loop day, and he repeatedly tried to prevent his own death within the time loop, but he was ultimately unable to change the outcome.
As the fifth loop day approached its deadline, Jiang Yuwen preemptively donned a firefighter's suit and cleverly concealed himself in an incubator to escape the impending explosion. Afterward, he blended in with the fire brigade and quietly left the perilous location. Meanwhile, An Lan's meticulously developed medication finally took effect, and her mother slowly regained consciousness, speaking in broken sentences. An Lan, upon hearing her mother's voice, emotionally asked if she remembered her, to which her mother slowly replied, "An.

Jiang Yuwen, strapped with a bomb, resolutely headed to the underground parking lot for a confrontation with Mo Yuanzhi. Mo Yuanzhi appeared, greeting Jiang Yuwen, "Long time no see, Professor Jiang." Jiang Yuwen noted the heavy police presence, calling Mo Yuanzhi cunning like a squid.
Mo Yuanzhi, in turn, justified his adaptability, likening himself to a squid that has survived for millions of years due to its nature. Jiang Yuwen then confronted Mo Yuanzhi about killing his two brothers. Mo Yuanzhi retorted by asking if Jiang Yuwen could sleep at night after sending his brothers to their deaths. Mo Yuanzhi revealed that RAN's instability attacks the weakest part of the body, which varies, and that Jiang Yuwen was unlucky because his immune system was being ravaged, leading to rapid aging and death within a few years. Mo Yuanzhi then demanded the research data Jiang Yuwen had taken from him, promising his daughter's safe return in exchange.
Ding Qi, using a thermal imager, precisely located Mo Yuanzhi and Jiang Yuwen, and discovered that the bomb strapped to Jiang Yuwen was powerful enough to jeopardize the entire floor. News of the bomb leaked, causing panic among staff who fled in disarray. Jiang Yuwen then revealed the bomb's mechanism: it would detonate if his heart stopped or beat too intensely.
Mo Yuanzhi seized the opportunity to escape, but not before reiterating his belief that Jiang Yuwen and his daughters would not survive the day, and that Jiang Yuwen himself would not live much longer. Jiang Yuwen pleaded for his daughters' lives, but Mo Yuanzhi called him persistent and left. Desperate, Jiang Yuwen cursed Mo Yuanzhi and threatened to detonate the bomb, shouting he would take Mo Yuanzhi down with him.
Ding Qi quickly arrived and stopped Jiang Yuwen, assuring him that his daughters were safe and had already been rescued. Jiang Yuwen was skeptical, but Ding Qi calmed him, confirming the names of his two daughters, Maggie and Tang Xin, and reassuring him of their safety. Ding Qi then made a video call to Tang Xin. Tang Xin, with Maggie, called her father "Dad," which deeply moved Jiang Yuwen.
She earnestly told him she did not want him to die and that Ding Qi was trustworthy. She and Maggie were safe and wanted him to stay alive, to which Jiang Yuwen agreed. Jiang Yuwen then expressed his gratitude to Ding Qi. Shortly after, bomb disposal experts successfully defused the bomb, averting a crisis. Mo Yuanzhi attempted to flee Moma Biotechnology by helicopter from the rooftop.
Ding Qi arrived just in time, firing a warning shot that startled the pilot into leaving. With his escape thwarted, Mo Yuanzhi angrily called Feng Qiming, ordering him to kill An Lan and her mother. However, Ding Qi answered the call, causing Mo Yuanzhi to realize that all his plans had been thoroughly disrupted. Feeling defeated and enraged, Mo Yuanzhi sat down and questioned Ding Qi about how he acquired the looping ability.
Mo Yuanzhi recounted his own past, explaining that after failing to save Feng Wanqing, he took a reagent to commit suicide out of despair. Miraculously, he revived the next day and discovered he could loop through time. He realized that Feng Wanqing had endured five times the suffering and blamed Jiang Yuwen for it. Ding Qi sternly countered that regardless of what Mo Yuanzhi had experienced, it did not justify killing others.
Mo Yuanzhi then revealed his own side effect: he had gone blind several times and feared losing his sight permanently, questioning the utility of his ability when he suffered daily. He asked Ding Qi if he too experienced such pain. Ding Qi confirmed his suffering, stating he hadn't slept for five days, and urged Mo Yuanzhi to surrender. Mo Yuanzhi observed that Ding Qi's combat skills had improved significantly, attributing it to his practice during the loop days. Ding Qi acknowledged this, stating that if not for their research, he would not be in this situation, and without his current state, Mo Yuanzhi would never have been discovered. He accepted this as fate. As they fought, Ding Qi suddenly experienced his side effect, collapsing before Mo Yuanzhi.
Mo Yuanzhi taunted him, reminding him that this was his side effect and that he stood no chance. In his final conscious moments, Ding Qi mustered all his strength to handcuff Mo Yuanzhi. Mo Yuanzhi attempted to sever Ding Qi's arm with a dagger, but Yu Peishan and other police officers arrived, saving Ding Qi. Duan Zheng immediately administered CPR, but Ding Qi showed no signs of waking, leading to widespread grief and tears among his colleagues.
Miraculously, Ding Qi eventually regained consciousness, looking surprised to see Duan Zheng. Everyone rushed to his side, and Ding Qi expressed his profound gratitude and relief at being alive. It was revealed that An Lan had developed an antidote, which, while saving his life, also caused Ding Qi to lose his extraordinary looping ability. However, Ding Qi had no regrets about his choice.
In a lighter moment, Ding Qi playfully reminded An Lan that she had initiated a kiss during the fourth loop, a claim she denied, prompting Ding Qi to insist, "I was shy, but I accepted it." Elsewhere, Mo Yuanzhi suffered agonizing headaches in prison, now completely blind and plunged into an abyss of darkness and despair. Meanwhile, Fu Jun embarked on a new chapter, finding a new job and embracing the future with hope.
Tang Xin and Yu Shiya prepared to collaboratively steer Moma Biotechnology back on track. Professor You Yuxiang's reputation was fully restored, and he once again stood on the lecture stage, passionately sharing his research experiences. Ding Qi and his team held a celebratory banquet, enjoying a warm and festive atmosphere as they raised their glasses. However, in a sudden turn of events, Mo Yuanzhi managed to overpower and incapacitate a prison guard. Simultaneously, Ding Qi mysteriously found himself re-entering a time loop, signifying the quiet arrival of new challenges and adventures.
