Picking up from their last encounter, Jiang Mingshu gave Han Jingmo a fruit candy, the same flavor he had given her when he left, which she had eaten all these years. This gesture subtly marked a new phase in their relationship. During a rehearsal, Jiang Mingshu nearly lost her balance but was caught by Han Jingmo.

Holding his hand, she confessed her shortcomings as a mother, admitting she had been incompetent and had hurt him by neglecting his feelings in favor of her current family. Seeing his successful career now, she felt some of her guilt ease. She then apologized and they decided to re-do the scene. Though Han Jingmo initially seemed nervous, he assured the director he was ready.

When they reenacted the scene, an embrace that was both part of the script and a genuine expression of their emotions, both mother and son shed tears. After the rehearsal, Jiang Mingshu acknowledged Lu Wanwan as Han Jingmo's future partner, remarking that her prospective daughter-in-law was not easy to deal with and inviting the couple to visit her home. As Jiang Mingshu prepared to leave, Lu Wanwan, initially calling her "Auntie," then spontaneously called her "Mom."

Han Jingmo playfully teased Lu Wanwan about being eager to rush into marriage, which Lu Wanwan denied. Han Jingmo then sincerely thanked Lu Wanwan for all she had done for him, but Lu Wanwan brushed it off, stating it was normal between them. She then suggested they all go to dinner with her brother and Gu Qiaobei.

At dinner, Gu Qiaobei was visibly upset, confronting Han Jingmo for keeping secrets from him, accusing him of valuing love over friendship, and lamenting that he felt like the only "fool" left in the dark. Lu Guanghan, trying to calm the situation, explained that while he had indeed told Gu Qiaobei in the game that he was a man, he hadn't revealed his identity as Lu Guanghan, and Gu Qiaobei hadn't revealed his as Gu Qiaobei either.

Ultimately, Gu Qiaobei admitted it was his fault and offered to drink three cups as an apology. Lu Wanwan intervened, suggesting one cup was sufficient, then poured him a generous glass, which he drained in one gulp, signifying a truce. Later, Han Jingmo expressed his profound gratitude to Lu Wanwan for something that happened five years prior.

He recalled a trip to M Nation where he, isolated and feeling abandoned by his mother, watched other families, and was cornered by two men attempting to rob him. Suddenly, Lu Wanwan, wearing a lion head costume, appeared, startled his attackers away, and even took him street dancing. Despite his attempts to send her off, she insisted she had helped him and made him remember her name, "Lu Wanwan."

Lu Wanwan, however, could not recall the incident at all, noting she was a known "street bully" back then, often getting into fights and performing "righteous deeds." Han Jingmo then revealed that he had recognized her voice from their very first meeting, long before she knew him. Lu Wanwan was shocked and frustrated, realizing he had known her identity all along, even in the game. Gu Qiaobei then came to Lu Guanghan to say goodbye.

He informed Lu Guanghan that he had signed his termination contract and decided to pursue a long-held dream of studying directing. Lu Guanghan fully supported his decision. Gu Qiaobei thanked him, confirming that their past misunderstandings were behind them. Six months later, as Lu Wanwan prepared to go watch a movie, Lu Guanghan insisted on joining her.

Lu Wanwan teased him, saying she was going with Han Jingmo to see their new film, "Tit-for-tat", and challenged Lu Guanghan to buy out a hundred screenings for her if he wanted to contribute to the box office. He playfully agreed, calling her "my sister." Just as Lu Wanwan left, Xia Linxi arrived at Lu Guanghan's door, having already bought movie tickets for them. They shared a warm embrace, Xia Linxi kissed his cheek, and the door closed.

Lu Wanwan and Han Jingmo enjoyed their film, "Tit-for-tat", in the cinema. As they watched the film's emotional scenes, they unconsciously held each other's hands. Han Jingmo made a lighthearted comment about his "first kiss" on screen, while Lu Wanwan joked that watching it together felt like they were "stealing an affair." They overheard other moviegoers praising Han Jingmo's acting, noting his performance was "not inferior to that of Jiang Mingshu" and seemed "effortless."

Afterward, they discussed the nuances of acting for film versus television. Han Jingmo also encouraged Lu Wanwan, mentioning that she had been nominated for "Best New Actress." Han Jingmo then took Lu Wanwan to a special place, telling her he had been "plotting" this for a long time.

He revealed an even earlier childhood encounter: when he was a small boy, bullied and called "mute" by other children, young Lu Wanwan had bravely intervened, shouting at his tormentors and scaring them away. She then scolded him for not thanking her and boldly announced her name, "Lu Wanwan." Lu Wanwan again could not remember this, explaining her childhood was filled with frequent fights.

Han Jingmo then knelt and declared his love for her, asking her to marry him and spend the rest of her life with him. He confessed he had been preparing for this day for a very long time, including renovating a villa and buying a large diamond ring, all for her. Lu Wanwan happily accepted.

She then teased him, asking if he was poor now after all his expenses and playfully suggested she could "take care of him openly" and even for him to "serve her tonight." Han Jingmo asked when he could "serve her legally," to which Lu Wanwan replied, "today's the day," and they immediately headed to the marriage registration office to legally solemnize their union.

After they privately announced their marriage on social media, their friends reacted with a mixture of disbelief and excitement. Many commented that it was "too sudden," with some jokingly suggesting the photo must be "retouched." Gu Qiaobei, in particular, voiced his "protest" as a "single dog." Others offered their congratulations, and Guan Yiwei remarked on Han Jingmo's swift actions. Lu Wanwan was delighted by the flurry of reactions.

Later, at an international film festival, Lu Wanwan and Han Jingmo walked the red carpet. When asked by a reporter if their relationship began during their collaboration on "Tit-for-tat", Han Jingmo candidly admitted that he "had a crush on her" even "before we worked together." He subtly avoided confirming their marriage news, redirecting the focus to the film festival itself.

During the awards ceremony, Guan Yiwei, serving as a presenter, announced Han Jingmo as the winner of the Best Actor award for his performance in "Tit-for-tat". Later, Lu Guanghan, as the President of Ying Ge, took the stage to present the Best New Actress award. With visible pride, he announced Lu Wanwan as the deserving winner, affectionately declaring, "That's my sister."

Accepting her award, Lu Wanwan stood on stage and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Han Jingmo for his constant companionship and for remembering her since their childhood. Four years later, Han Jingmo and Lu Wanwan had a pair of adorable twin daughters. One day, their young daughter attempted to fish in a pond, prompting Lu Wanwan to scold her.

Han Jingmo intervened gently, and their daughter explained she was trying to catch fish because her "Mommy said she wanted to eat fish." Han Jingmo reminded her about the dangers of the pond. He then commented that their daughter was a "mini version" of Lu Wanwan, jokingly asking if she would grow up to "fight for some handsome guy." Their daughter then asked if she could learn martial arts, to which Lu Wanwan happily agreed.
