Despite the public humiliation, Between Ink White reluctantly cooperated, only to sigh in relief when Lu Wanwan finally permitted him to stand. He then dramatically summoned ten thousand swords, dispersing the onlookers.
Between Ink White pleaded with Lu Wanwan to end her anger, but she remained firm, stating she had set a goal of a 100-hour period of anger and had only completed 27. He despaired, wondering how he would endure the remaining 73 hours, longing for time to speed up. Lu Wanwan, however, dismissed his impatience, proposing they watch the Starry Festival, an annual global live stream, where both her "goddess" and Han Jingmo were nominated.
The Starry Festival red carpet featured various celebrities, including Gu Qiaobei and Lu Guanghan. Later, Han Jingmo and Lu Wanwan made their grand entrance, drawing significant attention as the hosts highlighted their "Tit-for-tat" collaboration and the widespread online speculation about their relationship. When asked if they had "chemistry in real life," Lu Wanwan responded enigmatically that "fate is unsure" and praised Han Jingmo for all she had learned from him.
Han Jingmo, discussing their award nominations, emphasized the importance of a calm mindset over mere confidence, stating that audience appreciation was their true motivation, a sentiment Lu Wanwan echoed. When pressed about who had a higher chance of winning, Lu Wanwan declared Han Jingmo "is the best actor" in her heart. Backstage, their composed public demeanor dissolved. Lu Wanwan, clearly frustrated, confronted Han Jingmo, asking if he genuinely believed their "business talk."
Separately, in a European country, Zhao Jinghang and Yiwei watched the live stream. Yiwei exclaimed how good Lu Wanwan and Han Jingmo looked together, while Zhao Jinghang, visibly upset, turned his head away. The tension escalated as Tao Yichen, last year's Best Actor, took the stage to present the coveted Best Actor Award. As Han Jingmo accepted his award, he used the platform to deliver a heartfelt apology to Lu Wanwan, acknowledging his fault and admitting he couldn't endure "100 hours" of her anger, pleading for them to "make up." He then publicly declared, "Lu Wanwan is my girlfriend," explaining why she had voted for only one person in a multiple-choice poll—because she was already with him.
He walked towards a tearful Lu Wanwan in the audience, asking for her forgiveness in advance and, in a tender moment, confessed his love. Their embrace was met with flashing lights. Immediately, Lu Guanghan, on a call, instructed his team at Ying Ge to ensure all their artists sent blessings to Han Jingmo and Lu Wanwan, intending to capitalize on the buzz. Back in Europe, Zhao Jinghang nursed his sorrow with drinks, joined by Yiwei. Yiwei observed that despite his outwardly relaxed demeanor, Zhao Jinghang was actually a complicated person, prone to stubbornness and deeply fearful of loss. Zhao Jinghang admitted his cowardice, confessing that he had always intended to protect Lu Wanwan as a brother and witness her happiness. Yet, he now painfully regretted his inaction, realizing she was with someone else.
Yiwei, ever blunt, told him his feelings amounted to "unrequited love," not a true breakup, as a breakup required mutual affection. She then playfully, but firmly, warned him not to miss her, Guan Yiwei, after missing Lu Wanwan, implying dire consequences if he failed to appreciate her. Following the awards ceremony, a furious Lu Guanghan confronted Lu Wanwan, expressing his exasperation.
Han Jingmo, however, stepped forward to take full responsibility, clarifying that Lu Wanwan had been unaware of his public announcement. Lu Guanghan raged about the global live stream and how the unexpected revelation had ruined his plans for a variety show. He revealed that his parents, Lu and Susu, were already rushing home, livid. Lu Guanghan then pointedly warned Han Jingmo that his father, Lu, did not like him.
However, Lu Wanwan quickly reassured Han Jingmo, sharing that her mother, Susu, was a dedicated fan of his, which visibly boosted his spirits. The next day, Susu was beside herself with excitement for Han Jingmo's visit, bustling around to prepare. Upon his arrival with numerous gifts, she enthusiastically welcomed him, taking his bags and formally introducing him to Lu.
Susu lavished Han Jingmo with fresh tea and fruit, prompting Lu Wanwan to jokingly remind her not to "feed him like a pig," to which Susu retorted that such a handsome "pig" didn't exist. Susu was particularly delighted with a jade bracelet Han Jingmo gifted her, praising its exquisite quality and gleefully showing it off. Han Jingmo further impressed Lu by presenting him with a prized chess set and two rare, out-of-print books that Lu had sought for years. Han Jingmo, after asking to elaborate, gave thoughtful responses: he would help Lu Wanwan address weight gain and exercise with her, he would only allow non-furry pets due to her allergies, and he would address any anger or issues promptly without letting them fester overnight. Susu was ecstatic with his answers, declaring him "the best son-in-law of the Lu family" and vowing to record his words for Lu Guanghan's future reference.
When Lu tried to continue his interrogation, Susu intervened, playfully scolding him for treating Han Jingmo's visit like an exam and whisking Han Jingmo away to help her set the dinner table. Later, Lu Wanwan asked her father for his assessment of Han Jingmo, to which Lu simply replied, "So-so." Lu Wanwan, however, understood this lukewarm praise as an indication that Han Jingmo had passed his test.
Lu Guanghan finally arrived for dinner, immediately facing his parents' usual prodding about his unmarried status. As the family enjoyed their harmonious meal, with Susu praising their home-grown vegetables and Han Jingmo politely complimenting the food, Lu Guanghan jokingly called Han Jingmo a "suck-up" and "double-dealer."
