Chen Miren asked Xu Miaomiao about a novel where the male lead pretended to be a rich second-generation, inquiring if there was any follow-up to the story. Xu Miaomiao explained that the female lead consistently stayed by the male lead's side, never abandoning him, and secretly did many things to help him. Luo Si agreed, emphasizing that self-esteem is paramount for men.
Wanting to help Zhong Wei, Chen Miren gave some snacks to Huang Xiaoyue, asking him to subtly inquire about anything Zhong Wei might need help with. Huang Xiaoyue mentioned that everything else was fine, but the dormitory environment was recently quite poor, to the point that he was breaking out in acne. Chen Miren decided she wanted to sneak into the boys' dormitory to clean for Zhong Wei.
She observed Zhong Wei's dorm, but the dorm management was always present, making it difficult to get in. Huang Xiaoyue then told her about a basketball game scheduled for the next day and asked Chen Miren to come cheer for him. Chen Miren suggested that Huang Xiaoyue should ask Bao Jiaguo instead, citing Bao Jiaguo’s loud voice, which Huang Xiaoyue found reasonable.
Chen Miren was secretly delighted to learn that Zhong Wei wouldn't be in the dormitory the next day, realizing this meant Zhong Wei's dorm would be "in her complete control." The following day, Chen Miren put on a hat and mask to sneak into the boys' dormitory. She almost got caught by the dorm management but cleverly pretended to be talking to a group of boys walking in front of her, successfully evading detection.
Knowing Huang Xiaoyue's habits, she felt around a small box on the door and found the spare key, allowing her to enter. Inside, she meticulously cleaned the dorm, tidying the desks and beds. She even washed Zhong Wei's clothes, including a smelly sock she found in his quilt. After finishing, she looked around the clean and tidy dormitory with immense satisfaction. When Bao Jiaguo and Huang Xiaoyue returned, they were astonished by the spotless room.
Neither of them had cleaned, leading Bao Jiaguo to wonder if "Miss River Snail" had visited. Huang Xiaoyue called Chen Miren, asking if she was the "Miss River Snail." He pointed out her obvious partiality: while his and Bao Jiaguo's dirty clothes were simply stuffed under their quilts, Zhong Wei’s bed, quilt, and surrounding area were tidied meticulously, even going so far as to lift his bed board.
Huang Xiaoyue also revealed that the smelly sock she had washed was actually his, and he had intentionally placed it in Zhong Wei's quilt to annoy him, implying Chen Miren’s cleaning was specifically for Zhong Wei. He then asked Chen Miren to relay a message to "Miss River Snail" that their air conditioner was broken and they also needed a hairdryer. Chen Miren secretly returned to Zhong Wei's dorm, fixed the air conditioner, and brought a hairdryer.
Later, Zhong Wei noticed a new pair of slippers by his bed and immediately knew Chen Miren was responsible. He wore these new slippers to class, then asked Chen Miren if she knew anything about them, to which she quickly denied any knowledge, claiming it was an old-fashioned and boring thing to do. She had also previously commented that Zhong Wei looked poor wearing disposable hotel slippers. Chen Miren went back to Zhong Wei’s dorm a second time to clean.
This time, however, school leaders arrived for a surprise sanitary inspection. Finding nowhere to hide, Chen Miren climbed out and hung onto the window ledge. The school leaders inspected the dorm, declaring it "a model of a civilized dormitory" due to its exceptional cleanliness. Outside, other students noticed Chen Miren hanging from the window, gathering and speculating about what she was doing in the boys' dorm. Zhong Wei also arrived and was surprised to see her.
The school leaders came out, demanding to know who Chen Miren was and which male student had let her in, stating that both would be severely punished. Huang Xiaoyue asked who would be punished, and the leader confirmed both. To prevent Zhong Wei from being punished, Chen Miren declared that she was there for Huang Xiaoyue. Huang Xiaoyue was dismayed, but Chen Miren then slyly mentioned his height-increasing shoe pads, forcing him to accept the blame.
Annoyed, Zhong Wei walked away. Chen Miren then safely came down from the window. The school leader reiterated that such an incident must not happen again. As students continued to gossip, Huang Xiaoyue reluctantly pulled Chen Miren away. Although everyone assumed Chen Miren was pursuing Huang Xiaoyue, Zhong Wei suspected that she had actually come for him.
Later, Chen Miren was criticized on a school notice board for repeatedly violating rules by entering the boys' dorm with Huang Xiaoyue's help, performing tasks like cleaning, washing clothes, and repairing chairs in Room 405. Her friends Xu Miaomiao and Luo Si also confronted her, asking why she fell for Huang Xiaoyue, given his perceived flaws. Chen Miren initially feigned loneliness and a desire for any relationship.
However, when pressed, she admitted that she was actually dating Zhong Wei and had only claimed to be there for Huang Xiaoyue to protect Zhong Wei from punishment. She further revealed that she and Zhong Wei had been together in high school. Soon after, Zhong Wei used the school's public broadcast system to call Chen Miren to the school's grove within five minutes, stating that he wouldn't wait. Chen Miren, despite having a fever, rushed to meet him.
When she arrived, Zhong Wei confronted her about keeping their relationship a secret. He wanted to make it public, even if it meant punishment for misusing the broadcast system. Chen Miren explained that in high school, being associated with him made her a target for other girls, negatively impacting their relationship. Zhong Wei then gave her two options: walk three laps around the school wearing his jacket to publicly announce their relationship, or walk ten.
Chen Miren chose to walk three laps with him. Later, Xu Miaomiao expressed her surprise about Chen Miren's hidden high school relationship with Zhong Wei, confirming that she had learned about their past connection from someone else. As "compensation" for keeping such a big secret, Xu Miaomiao demanded to be authorized to take the first official photo of Chen Miren and Zhong Wei as a couple, despite Chen Miren's initial reluctance. Zhong Wei agreed, and they posed for the picture, with Xu Miaomiao instructing Zhong Wei to maintain his "cool" demeanor for the photo.
