> Miss Lucky Go! Recaps
Zhong Wei received an unexpected phone call from Cao Jia'er, a name he didn't immediately recognize. Cao Jia'er reintroduced herself, reminding him he used to call her "Heroine" when they were children, back in Nanchizi Park and at the taekwondo gymnasium. She explained that she had tried to find him in high school, but Chen Miren, a classmate, told her he had transferred, preventing them from meeting.
Cao Jia'er added that she later found his social media but received no replies to her messages, leading her to ask many friends to track him down. Now, she was at his university, and Zhong Wei promptly agreed to meet her. Meanwhile, Chen Miren was feeding the campus kittens and sent a message to Zhong Wei, but he didn't reply. Later, Chen Miren brought Zhong Wei breakfast, noting he had likely stayed up all night working.
She gave him hot food and encouraged him to eat. When she later asked if all men were fickle, Zhong Wei quickly reassured her of his loyalty. However, he soon received a message about urgent company matters and had to leave abruptly, cutting short their time together. At work, Zhong Wei reviewed several design drafts but found them all unsatisfactory, demanding they be redone.
Qi Chao suggested that some designs could be salvaged with minor modifications, but Zhong Wei insisted that every product from their brand, Aoqi, must be a masterpiece, stressing the need for high quality to compete effectively against rivals like Yu Dawei. One designer, frustrated after multiple revisions, threatened to move to another team. Zhong Wei, unflustered, stated that designers and works that couldn't meet standards were not needed.
Later, Qi Chao proposed a strategy to accelerate product updates while simultaneously recruiting new talent to improve quality and expand capacity, a suggestion Zhong Wei considered. Separately, Chen Miren received exciting news: her latest figurine design had been selected for the company's third-quarter new product list. Overjoyed, she immediately sought out Zhong Wei to share the good news.
Zhong Wei, who already knew of her success as the young CEO of Hengchangji, celebrated by gifting her a treasured, out-of-print set of "The Westward" figurines he had "borrowed" from his father. He assured her they were now hers to keep. Chen Miren's joy was short-lived when she received a friend request from Cao Jia'er, leaving her stunned. A flashback revealed a past encounter: Cao Jia'er had visited Zhong Wei's classroom when he was absent, having gone to PE class.
Chen Miren, seeing a drawing of a cat named "Dark Clouds" in Zhong Wei's notebook, realized that Cao Jia'er was the "Heroine" Zhong Wei had often spoken of—his childhood "white moonlight." Cao Jia'er had then asked Chen Miren to keep her visit a secret, wanting to surprise Zhong Wei later, which only intensified Chen Miren's unease.
Hearing rumors that Cao Jia'er was transferring to their school, Chen Miren, in a state of confusion, told her parents she wanted to transfer as well, offering no specific reason. Later, while scrolling through Cao Jia'er's social media, Chen Miren confided in Xu Miaomiao, asking about the fate of "substitute" characters in novels.
Xu Miaomiao explained that such characters invariably meet tragic ends, quickly becoming irrelevant and "cannon fodder" once the "original" love interest appears, often suffering fates like family ruin, abandonment, and illness. Chen Miren, clearly distressed, expressed her dislike for such stories. Lost in thought, Chen Miren accidentally wandered into the men's restroom, where she encountered Qin Mengxuan. He flirted, teasing that she was now responsible for "seeing him."
Chen Miren quickly denied seeing anything and firmly stated that she had a "tall, handsome, and cruel" boyfriend, warning him to stay away. Just then, Zhong Wei arrived, and Chen Miren, claiming not to know Qin Mengxuan, quickly left with him. Zhong Wei offered to stay and watch her cheerleading practice, but Chen Miren declined, not wanting him to see her being scolded by her coach.
Later, a classmate, Huang Xiaoyue, gossiped that Zhong Wei might have cheated, causing Chen Miren to hide from him. Chen Miren, however, clarified that they were merely having "love issues" and, when pressed by Huang Xiaoyue, dismissed a rumor that Zhong Wei was a bad kisser as false. Meanwhile, Bao Jiaguo, still feeling guilty about accidentally spilling stir-fried pig intestines on Xu Miaomiao's head, had been actively avoiding her.
Hoping to improve his appeal, he got a haircut advertised to make girls like him. He then saw Xu Miaomiao's livestream announcement for a dessert shop, which featured a "nostalgia" theme, and discreetly followed her there, ordering the same desserts she reviewed. During her livestream, Xu Miaomiao emotionally recounted the origin of tiramisu, a cake symbolizing "take me with you," and reflected on the bittersweet nature of goodbyes and how shared moments become cherished memories.
She became tearful after receiving a message from her mother saying "Dabai has left," which the cafe staff mistakenly believed was due to the tiramisu. After her broadcast concluded, Bao Jiaguo cautiously approached Xu Miaomiao. He apologized again for the incident, playfully suggesting he wished he had spilled something less messy, like smashed cucumbers or spicy chicken. He took full responsibility and offered to pay for all her shampoo until she went bald.
Xu Miaomiao, amused and touched, told him to stop talking, calling him a "language genius." He then confessed he hadn't been stalking her at the cafe but had seen her livestream announcement, reassuring her he wouldn't tell anyone about her "snot bubbles." Xu Miaomiao thanked him for comforting her and clarified that her angry words at Shuangling Mountain were said in the heat of the moment, asking him not to take them to heart.
