Following through on his decision to collaborate, Nan Xi leads his dorm mates, Hao Tian and Hu Jing, to a first-place victory on their group project, earning them an additional five academic points. Gao Ting, who worked alone, comes in second and, though disappointed, applauds Nan Xi's success. To celebrate, Xia Rui suggests a hotpot dinner.
While buying ingredients, she runs into Gao Ting and invites him to join, but the aloof architecture student declines, stating he isn't close to them. The brief encounter reminds Xia Rui of Nan Xi's former self. She quickly moves on, joining Nan Xi and his dorm mates for the meal. Annoyed by their messy eating and fearful for his nearby drawings, Nan Xi suggests they move to a more secluded spot.
They find a corner of the campus they believe is free of surveillance, only to realize they were filmed on their way there. Moments later, the school patrol team arrives, forcing the four to don paper bags as masks and flee. The next day, a blurry picture of their escape is posted on the school bulletin board.
Worried she'll be identified by Gao Ting, Xia Rui panics, but Nan Xi reassures her he will take full responsibility if they are caught. A call from Cheng Erluo reminds Xia Rui and Nan Xi of their housewarming appointment. At the new apartment, Nan Xi gifts a grateful Cheng Erluo a coveted 2013 James championship ring as thanks for his help.
Cheng Erluo playfully suggests they all move in together as "The Four Auspicious Treasures," which Xia Rui jokingly counters with "Roast Duck of 4 Treasure." After Cheng Erluo and Zhao Yishu leave to give them privacy, Nan Xi unveils a surprise for Xia Rui: a beautiful painting he made of them, titled "Our Home." He confesses his deep feelings, explaining he moved not to escape, but to build a life with her.
He admits his terror when she considered studying abroad made him realize the depth of his love. Touched, Xia Rui promises to always look at him from now on. Their conversation then turns to the camera that previously caused a rift between them. When she asks if he still plans to install it, Nan Xi reframes its purpose, saying he wants to place it at the doorway to protect not just her, but "our home."
Though officially a couple, Xia Rui feels shy about living together. To show his commitment, Nan Xi takes her for a spin on a carousel, a "theme park tailored just for her." Xia Rui confides that no one has played with her so joyfully since her father passed away and reflects on her life-long desire for a real home.
Nan Xi lovingly corrects her, saying the apartment is "our home" and tells her that instead of "thank you," they should only say "I like you." They embrace, exchanging "I like yous." Their moment is interrupted by a call from Xia Rui's mother, who is going on vacation and needs Xia Rui to look after her younger brother, Hao.
After negotiating a generous "nanny" salary, Xia Rui plans to stay with Hao in a hotel, but Nan Xi convinces her it would be more cost-effective for them to stay at the new apartment, framing it as a trial run for having roommates. Xia Rui agrees on the condition that Nan Xi is fully responsible for Hao.
The boy quickly makes himself at home, calling Nan Xi "brother-in-law" but sparking a comedic war over sleeping arrangements when he discovers the single bed and insists on sleeping with his sister to "protect" her. Meanwhile, Cheng Erluo's deep affection for Zhao Yishu remains obvious to everyone but himself. He skips a team dinner to escort her to a Drama Club event, telling his curious teammates their bond is beyond a normal person's understanding.
He admits to her that he has been reading nasty comments about her on the school forum and vows to protect her. When she gently probes his own romantic plans, he dismisses the idea, stating he must focus on basketball for the next few years. Oblivious to her feelings, he then advises her not to date anyone without his and Xia Rui's approval, reinforcing his purely protective stance. Despite her disappointment, Zhao Yishu encourages him for his upcoming game, promising she’ll be there to cheer him on.
