Seeing that her two friends, Zhou Shi and Lin Feifei, didn't believe Li Mingcheng was cheating, Bi Qiujing presented them with a series of candid photos she had found from a personal photo album she stumbled upon. She pointed out the highly skilled, non-frontal shots, describing them as rare high-definition raw photos. Lin Feifei and Zhou Shi were shocked, realizing these were secretly taken pictures.
Zhou Shi suggested calling the police, but Bi Qiujing stated there was no need; she knew the stalker's "nature" and was certain this person was very close to Li Mingcheng, harboring unusual feelings for him. Lin Feifei reminded Bi Qiujing that the target of these photos was her own husband and asked if she was worried about a potentially possessive stalker. Bi Qiujing, ever the academic, expressed curiosity about what made her husband so captivating.
Lin Feifei, exasperated by Bi Qiujing's detachment, declared that they couldn't apply normal thinking to her. As Lin Feifei went to wash dishes after losing a bet, Bi Qiujing pressed Zhou Shi about a secret she might share with Xue Zi. She found it hard to believe that Zhou Shi's two-year disappearance and breakup with Wei Qing were solely due to Ning Fei's issues, suspecting Xue Zi might be threatening her. Before Zhou Shi could respond, the doorbell rang.
Bi Qiujing expressed disappointment at the interruption. The visitor was Li Mingcheng, who had brought cuttlefish-filled soup dumplings, concerned that Bi Qiujing might skip breakfast. Zhou Shi, after receiving a phone call from Xue Zi, quickly grabbed her bag and excused herself. As she left, Li Mingcheng told her to "watch out." Bi Qiujing asked for clarification, but he merely said it was better if she didn't know. Zhou Shi then met Xue Zi, who was waiting in her car.
Xue Zi asked if Zhou Shi and Wei Qing had rekindled their romance, but Zhou Shi denied it, reiterating her commitment to their agreement. To Zhou Shi's surprise, Xue Zi announced that their agreement was now canceled, freeing her from having to waste time on Xue Ning and allowing her to return to Wei Qing. Confused, Zhou Shi recalled Xue Zi's past warning about Wei Qing potentially losing everything if she stayed close to him, and asked for clarification.
Xue Zi simply replied that Zhou Shi could interpret it however she wished. Later, when Zhou Shi arrived at Wu Zheng's studio for a collaboration, Wei Qing was already there. He provocatively introduced Zhou Shi as his girlfriend to Wu Zheng, who immediately became more agreeable.
Wu Zheng expressed regret for having doubted the quality of Shangjue Jewelry, stating he wouldn't have if he'd known about Wei Qing and Zhou Shi's relationship, especially since Yunma Group was a regular client of his firm. As Zhou Shi tried to correct him, Wei Qing pulled her away, ignoring her protests.
Wei Qing confronted her about her sudden disappearance two years prior and her current reappearance, accusing her of locking him in the washroom and running off after flirting with him at their previous encounter. He then asked if she wanted to reconcile.
Zhou Shi, recalling Xue Zi's words and wanting to distance herself from Wei Qing, apologized for her "inappropriate" behavior, stating that her actions at the hotel were merely a moment of madness, a "flirtatious act" to get rid of him. She offered to resolve any lingering resentment by "paying him back" whatever she "owed" him in a single session. Unexpectedly, Wei Qing agreed, telling her to meet him at the same hotel tomorrow, warning her not to back out midway.
He added that if she didn't come to him, he would go to her. Meanwhile, Ning Fei, still upset with Zhou Shi, wandered alone at a children's amusement park. He tried to contact friends, but they were all busy. Lin Feifei soon found him and admonished him for corrupting a child by encouraging him to lie about a lollipop trade.
Ning Fei, showing a rebellious streak, argued that the world would eventually teach the child such lessons without his help and questioned if having a conscience truly mattered. Lin Feifei, shocked by his transformation into a "little demon," vowed not to let him fall further. Ning Fei retorted by suggesting she only clung to him because she had no other suitors, to which Lin Feifei indignantly claimed she had many admirers.
Just then, Xue Le appeared, prompting Lin Feifei to quickly shove Ning Fei into a ball pit to hide him. Xue Le apologized to Lin Feifei for the previous caviar incident and offered a gift. After Xue Le departed, Lin Feifei opened the box to find the jewelry had been replaced with gag items, realizing Ning Fei had swapped them. Ning Fei also received a notification on his phone, an "Obedient Pill" reminder from "Girlfriend," which he dismissed.
Back at Yunma Group, Bi Qiujing, in order to investigate the stalker, had specifically joined the investment department as an intern, surprising Li Mingcheng. She subtly observed his team, particularly his secretary, Rachel, who appeared less like an "elite" and more clumsy. During an evening team-building event, colleagues deliberately challenged Rachel with a complex snack order calculation.
Bi Qiujing stepped in, quickly solving the multi-variable equation and dictating the precise order to the snack bar staff, even paying with Li Mingcheng's prepaid card, to his astonishment. She then directly asked Rachel if her determination to stay in the department, despite being bullied, stemmed from her affection for Li Mingcheng. Rachel admitted that she and other women in the department harbored feelings for him, including a competent colleague named Ada.
Li Mingcheng, who had been observing from a distance and realizing Bi Qiujing was there because of him, pulled her aside into an empty private room. He playfully suggested her presence was an attempt to expand her "comfort zone" to include him both at home and work. As they conversed intimately, someone secretly took photos of them from outside the room. Elsewhere, Wei Qing contacted Ning Fei about purchasing his portraits of Zhou Shi.
Ning Fei, who was currently homeless, had previously refused to sell, joking that he would only do so if Wei Qing provided him with a villa. To his disbelief, Wei Qing agreed to lend him one, insisting on an on-site exchange. Ning Fei, wary of potential schemes, decided to go anyway. Upon arriving at the luxurious villa, Ning Fei was surprised to discover that Wei Qing seemed to know him from his past as "Ning Fei."
Despite Wei Qing's quick acceptance of his amnesia, Ning Fei maintained his new identity as "Xue Ning," even correcting Wei Qing's pronunciation of a Chinese idiom. During their tense exchange, Xue Ning accidentally tripped on a robot vacuum and hit his head, falling unconscious. Wei Qing promptly called Wei An, instructing her to send Dr. Chen over, claiming he had a "patient sample" she might be interested in.
Dr. Chen then began hypnotizing Xue Ning, and Wei Qing instructed her to extract everything Xue Ning remembered about Zhou Shi. Later, Bi Qiujing asked Zhou Shi if she was going on a date, noting her elegant attire. Zhou Shi vaguely confirmed it. Then, Zhou Shi arrived at the hotel, having agreed to meet Wei Qing. After showering, she waited in the room. Wei Qing soon entered and immediately embraced her, holding her tightly. He confessed that he regretted his earlier ultimatum and did not want their relationship to end.
