Following her loss in the final, Yunzhu sat despondently in the locker room. Her father, Li Da, found her, just as he used to when she was a child and would hide after losing a match. While happy for Ke Siyi's victory, Li Da had come to comfort his daughter. Yunzhu confronted him, revealing she knew he had long been aware that Ke Siyi was the Masked Heroine.
She tearfully expressed her frustration, questioning why he had forced her into becoming a fighter while Ke Siyi, despite her greater natural talent, was allowed to attend college and receive dolls. Yunzhu's own childhood was filled with nothing but constant training, injuries, and boxing gloves. She resented that her path was fraught with pain while her adopted sister seemed to walk a bright road.
Pained by her words and realizing the depth of her resentment, Li Da tearfully apologized, admitting he thought she genuinely liked boxing and never knew she wished to attend university. He insisted that both she and Ke Siyi were equally important to him and that her happiness mattered more than any championship. Seeing her father's tears, Yunzhu felt remorseful for hurting him and acknowledged her fault in constantly comparing herself to Ke Siyi.
She embraced him, and the father and daughter reconciled. Soon after, Ke Siyi regained consciousness in the hospital, only to be met by Xu Nuo's cold demeanor. Xu Nuo bluntly stated that since her championship would bring sponsors to Kuanghu, he no longer needed to use her. He then declared their breakup, accusing her of causing him significant financial loss and expressing his shame at being used and harmed by someone he called "stupid," dismissing all his past promises.
Lin Wen tried to intervene, passionately asking for whom Ke Siyi had been thrown from a car, but Zhou Yanxin pulled her away. Heartbroken, Ke Siyi struggled to get out of bed, pleading with Xu Nuo not to leave her and even offering to endure physical blows instead. She reminded him of his promise to fulfill her wishes, but Xu Nuo twisted his earlier commitment, stating that the prerequisite for his help was that she must leave him.
When Ke Siyi refused, he threatened to immediately proceed with the demolition of Kuanghu. As Xu Nuo walked away, Ke Siyi was left stunned, watching a video on her phone where he had promised to do everything he could to help her, but only if she left him. On the way home, Lin Wen watched Ke Siyi trying to maintain her composure while struggling to contain her sobs, feeling deep sympathy for her friend.
Meanwhile, Liang Zhixiao arrived at Yunzhu's door, expecting to find her devastated by the loss. To his relief, Yunzhu had already adjusted her mindset. She was packing to return home early to spend time with Li Da, explaining that while she lost the match, she had resolved a long-standing internal conflict, so she felt she had gained something more valuable. She added that since Ke Siyi won, their family was still victorious.
While helping her pack, Zhixiao discovered a past championship reward he had given her. Before he could inquire further, Li Da called Yunzhu with distressing news about Ke Siyi. Zhixiao then informed Yunzhu that Wu Dongde was accusing Ke Siyi of being a spy, though Xu Nuo reportedly had no intention of pursuing the matter. Concerned, Yunzhu and Zhixiao rushed back home.
Upon returning, they found Ke Siyi inconsolable, weeping over the news that Xu Nuo would be stepping down as Chairman and CEO of Hege Media the following week. She blamed herself, fearing Xu Nuo would never forgive her. At the same time, Xu Nuo was alone at home, watching videos of Ke Siyi's fights, also in tears.
Zhixiao voiced his strong disapproval of Xu Nuo's actions, condemning him as inhumane for his harsh treatment of Ke Siyi, especially given her sacrifices. Yunzhu, witnessing Ke Siyi's distress, employed a method from their childhood to comfort her. She began singing a playful rhyme, "Sister is a cry-baby, cry-baby, stop crying, or you'll become a crying ghost!" This familiar tune brought a faint smile to Ke Siyi's face, but she still expressed profound heartache.
Feeling apologetic for her own past annoyance at Ke Siyi's tears, Yunzhu resolved to address the situation directly with Xu Nuo. Zhou Yanxin found himself overwhelmed by Xu Nuo's sudden emotional outbursts. Dr. Qin explained that this was a normal manifestation of his recovering alexithymia, like a floodgate opening after years of suppressed feelings, and advised Zhou Yanxin to get used to it.
This did little to soothe Zhou Yanxin, who was already upset from his own quarrel with Lin Wen. He expressed his frustration to Xu Nuo, criticizing his erratic behavior. Xu Nuo remained resolute, explaining that he had to force Ke Siyi away for her own protection until everything with Wu Dongde was settled. Just then, Yunzhu called, insisting on an immediate meeting to repay a "life-saving favor" Xu Nuo owed her. Reluctantly, Xu Nuo agreed.
They met, and Yunzhu presented two lucky bracelets, revealing they were heirlooms from Ke Siyi's mother. She confessed that Ke Siyi had given one to her and the other to a stranger involved in a car accident—Xu Nuo. Xu Nuo noticed the character "Yun" engraved on the bracelet, which Yunzhu clarified was the name of Ke Siyi's mother. This revelation stunned Xu Nuo, strengthening his belief that he and Ke Siyi were destined to be together.
Later, Zhou Yanxin delivered a plant to Ke Siyi's home from Xu Nuo, encouraging her to live on and grow strong. Returning to Xu Nuo, Zhou Yanxin expressed his own agony, stating Ke Siyi's deep empathy only amplified his own sadness over his situation with Lin Wen. He declared he could no longer stand by and announced his decision to seek reconciliation with Lin Wen immediately.
Xu Nuo vehemently warned him that such a move would jeopardize his efforts to protect Ke Siyi, but Zhou Yanxin countered that any further delay would irreversibly damage his relationship with Lin Wen, as she was already seeing another man. He reasoned that Ke Siyi, being kind-hearted, would eventually come back, but the stubborn Lin Wen would not. Apologizing to Xu Nuo, Zhou Yanxin insisted on leaving, promising only to make amends with Lin Wen and not interfere. His departure left Xu Nuo to grapple with his own difficult position, his love for Ke Siyi undeniable but caught in an impossible situation.
