Love Me If You Dare Episode 19 Recap
> Love Me If You Dare Recap
As Jian Yao remained by Li Xunran's side in the hospital, Fu Ziyu came to comfort her, assuring her that Li Xunran's injuries were not as severe as initially feared and that he would recover quickly if the surgery was successful. Meanwhile, Yin Ziqi arranged for Lin Yiyang to check into a high-end drug rehabilitation center. Yin Ziqi urged Lin Yiyang to seriously commit to overcoming his drug addiction.
Lin Yiyang questioned if his failure to do so would provide Yin Ziqi with a clear reason to end their engagement, to which she vaguely replied they would discuss future matters later. Bo Jinyan, concerned for Jian Yao's safety, called her at the hospital. He emphasized the importance of her safety, urging her to stay in the FBI-prepared companion ward at the hospital and not leave casually.
FBI agent Susan discovered through video surveillance that Xie Han had entered the country. The customs officer who privately facilitated Xie Han's entry was later found shot dead by Xie Han. Next to the officer's body, Bo Jinyan discovered a bouquet of flowers with a note simply stating, "Allen, I miss you." Susan, who had reviewed all of Xie Han's files, found no mention of anyone named Allen, leaving her puzzled. Bo Jinyan then revealed Allen was his brother.
On the hospital rooftop, Bo Jinyan met Jian Yao and informed her of his plan to leave the city for a small town to visit an old friend. Concurrently, Tommy successfully reunited with Xie Han, and they embraced tightly. Still confused about "Allen," Susan called Fu Ziyu, noting that Bo Jinyan's files indicated no biological brother. Fu Ziyu explained that Bo Jinyan's mother had been expecting twins, named Simon and Allen in English.
While Simon (Bo Jinyan) was born successfully, Allen was stillborn. Fu Ziyu concluded that Xie Han's knowledge of Allen implied a deeper understanding of Bo Jinyan than they had previously believed. Separately, Susan received intelligence linking the gun used to kill the customs officer to a previous court robbery. She immediately connected the two cases and decided to investigate the files stolen in that juvenile court robbery.
After questioning those involved, Susan discovered that these stolen juvenile files belonged to Bo Jinyan. Meanwhile, Bo Jinyan sought out his former mentor, Evan, an old man. Bo Jinyan discussed with Evan a period of his youth memory that he had lost, hoping Evan could help him recall it. However, Evan told Bo Jinyan that he would have to rely on his own memory to recover it.
Susan then went to interview Mrs. Bo, Bo Jinyan's mother, hoping to understand what happened in Bo Jinyan's youth and why his files were in the juvenile court. Mrs. Bo revealed that Bo Jinyan's birth father died early, and his stepfather was an alcoholic and abusive, frequently hitting both her and young Bo Jinyan.
One time, in an attempt to protect Bo Jinyan, she had planned to shoot the man, but instead, Bo Jinyan picked up the gun from the ground and shot his stepfather. Having recovered this memory, Bo Jinyan believed that what he did to protect his mother was not wrong, though he remained unsure why Xie Han was investigating this part of his past.
Bo Jinyan concluded that Xie Han was psychologically twisted, and his perspective on things differed from his own. Separately, Susan's investigation inadvertently revealed that Flower Cannibal No. 1's ex-girlfriend, Colleen Yang, worked at the very hospital where Li Xunran was recovering. Greatly alarmed, Susan immediately rushed to the hospital with FBI personnel. However, upon arrival, Colleen Yang had already used hypnotism to control Li Xunran. She then commanded Li Xunran to shoot at the approaching FBI agents, who repeatedly shouted for him to drop his weapon, as he raised his gun towards them.
