Apologizing for the sudden departure, Mo Lingze left Xu Qingyou in the care of their friends, promising to pick her up later. At Shangger, Tang Xi revealed that Taikang had deliberately leaked news to manipulate public opinion, attempting to force Mo Lingze into signing a contract.
She pointed out that Taikang had insiders within Shangger and questioned his psychological tactics. Tang Xi then offered to cooperate with him, asserting that he needed her more than she needed him, given that Ruiying Technology, an affiliate of Taikang, was her largest investment. She warned that if Taikang fell, she would face bankruptcy, while he would merely resign.
Mo Lingze, however, chose a different path, explaining that Taikang's sales data showed suspicious discrepancies, with receipt serial numbers skipping, indicating inflated sales figures. He suggested that such fraud would require the cooperation of third-party stakeholders, like the Auditing Department. He explained that this was why he was confident that the audit department would expose themselves when they tried to cover it up.
Mo Lingze declared they had enough evidence to suspend Shangger's investment in Taikang and planned to involve a third party to investigate the audit issues legally. Tang Xi, impressed, agreed to help, offering to notify the third party herself. Later, as Sa walked Xu Qingyou home, she shared that she had never seen Mo Lingze so serious about any woman before Xu Qingyou, encouraging her to have faith in him.
