Lingxi stumbled into a hidden cave and found a stone platform with a basin of clear water. Curious, she touched the liquid, and the platform suddenly burst forth with four water pillars, instantly forming four luminous mirrors. Lingxi was stunned to see herself in these mirrors: moments of sweet interaction with Jiuchen, a demonic transformation, and even a scene where she embraced and kissed Jiuchen.

Startled, she immediately covered her eyes, trying to convince herself that her feelings for Senior Deity were merely reverence, though a faint blush betrayed her true emotions. Moments later, the mirrors vanished, leaving behind a silver Water Moon Cauldron on the stone platform. Meanwhile, State Master Ling Yue desperately inquired about her daughter's whereabouts from the Old Man of South Pole Immortal Continent.

After checking the Heavenly Palace, the mortal world, her own Shanling Tribe, and Green Hill, and finding no trace, she grew increasingly anxious. The Old Man of South Pole Immortal Continent then revealed that her daughter was, in fact, "here." Lingxi poured the ashes of a war report into the Water Moon Cauldron, which miraculously restored the document. Witnessing the recovered scenes of Yuanzheng's demonic transformation, Lingxi finally understood Jiuchen's hidden struggles and sacrifices.

After she retrieved the report, the Water Moon Cauldron transformed into a bracelet that clasped onto her right wrist, unable to be removed. With the report in hand, she hurried away. No sooner had Lingxi departed than Qin Yuan arrived at the cave. Seeing the empty platform, he shamefully reported to the Old Man of South Pole Immortal Continent that the intruder had escaped.

The Old Man of South Pole Immortal Continent remained unperturbed, reassuring State Master Ling Yue that everything was predetermined fate and that the time was not yet ripe, requiring more patience. Though impatient, Ling Yue had no choice but to comply. Upon her return to Shanling Territory, Jing Xiu immediately sought her out to discuss state affairs.

Ling Yue, convinced that Jing Xiu had deceived her, gave him a cold reception and dismissed him, stating they would discuss the matter the next day. Back at Fuyun Hall, Jiuchen sternly questioned Lingxi why she had defied his instructions and left without permission. Lingxi, however, was overcome with sadness and explained that Xiaobai had died.

She lamented that Xiaobai, a mere mortal beast, could not even harm a single plant in the Heavenly Palace, yet had lost his life for no reason. She expressed her distress for Jiuchen, lamenting that he had to endure so much suffering to protect the weak. Jiuchen calmly responded that grievances could not kill him. Seeing his resolve, Lingxi promised not to cause him any more trouble and quietly took her leave.

Late that night, Lingxi secretly entered the Yuan Clan Ancestral Temple. Gazing at Yuanzheng's memorial tablet, she angrily accused him and his clan of causing Jiuchen immense suffering. She felt that despite Jiuchen's selfless protection of the Yuan Clan to prevent their destruction, they had repaid his kindness with animosity. Despite her anger, Lingxi resolved to respect Jiuchen's choice and keep the secret.

She asked Yuanzheng to look after Xiaobai in the afterlife, describing him as a timid and gluttonous little beast. Just as she prepared to burn the war report, Yuantong suddenly appeared, startling her. Yuantong demanded to know her purpose in the temple. Lingxi stammered a few excuses before hurrying away. However, as she reached a secluded spot, Yuantong reappeared, attempting to ambush Lingxi from behind.

Instinctively, Lingxi raised her right hand to block, and the Heavenly Lasting Mythical Sand on her wrist flared with light, deflecting Yuantong's attack. Yuantong, realizing Lingxi had been to the South Pole Immortal Continent, demanded the war report. Lingxi, astonished that Yuantong knew its contents, became furious.

She accused Yuantong of repaying kindness with hatred, revealing that Old Madam Yuan had even gone to Yaowang Cave to stop Jiuchen's medication, causing him to suffer from a cold disease, and that he was now facing a public trial at Purple Cloud Platform. Though feeling guilty, Yuantong remained resolute in her demand for the report. Lingxi refused to hand it over, and the two engaged in a fight.

Lingxi was no match for Yuantong and quickly found herself fleeing in disarray, inadvertently escaping to the Immortal Cleansing Pond. Seeing Lingxi cornered, Yuantong explained the pond's devastating effect: any immortal who fell in would lose their immortal essence and cultivation, forced to restart from nothing. Despite Yuantong's threats and cajoling, Lingxi refused to yield, worrying about Jiuchen. Enraged, Yuantong struck Lingxi, sending her plummeting into the Immortal Cleansing Pond.

A black vortex immediately engulfed Lingxi, and she lost consciousness amidst thunder and wind. At Fuyun Hall, Qingyao arrived to deliver medicine to Jiuchen. Learning from Shisan that Lingxi had disappeared, she grew concerned. Qingyao knew Lingxi cared deeply for Jiuchen and believed she shouldn't be wandering off at such a crucial time. She left some Warm Sun Pellets for Jiuchen and asked for Lingxi to visit her at Yaowang Cave upon her return.

Meanwhile, Yuantong returned to find Old Madam Yuan overjoyed. Yuantong learned that Yuanzheng's Heart Assembling Nail would be enshrined in the Merit Hall, while Jiuchen's Dragon Tooth Armor would be removed. Overwhelmed by deeper guilt, Yuantong recognized that the deception had grown too large to stop; she had no choice but to continue along with the lie to prevent the Yuan Clan's ruin. The next morning, Yunfeng, Kaiyang, and Hanzhang arrived at Fuyun Hall.

Not wishing to disturb Jiuchen, they sat outside the hall, chatting idly. Yunfeng recounted a recent encounter where a "pretty sprite" (Lingxi), the daughter of State Master Ling Yue, had covertly attempted to have her guards kill him. He remarked on his generous nature, stating he wouldn't hold a grudge against a mere girl. Jiuchen, aware of his friends' intentions to support him during his impending trial, knew he could only disappoint them as his decision was firm.

As the hour for his trial approached, and with Shisan missing and Lingxi still not returned, Jiuchen prepared to head to Purple Cloud Platform alone. Yunfeng and his companions immediately concocted excuses to accompany him. Just as they reached the hall entrance, Siming rushed up with urgent news. Earlier that morning, Shisan had angrily stormed into the Merit Hall, declaring she would protect Jiuchen's Dragon Tooth Armor and hack anyone who dared to touch it.

In a short time, she had already struck down over twenty Heavenly Palace protocol officers and overturned two side halls. Ziguang had already been dispatched with troops to handle her. Kaiyang, hearing this, praised Shisan's loyalty and immediately knelt, offering to capture God of Heavenly Thunder for Jiuchen. Jiuchen, however, refused to allow their recklessness and decided to go to the Merit Hall himself.

At the Yuan Clan Ancestral Temple, Old Madam Yuan ordered an altar to be set up and incense lit, celebrating what she deemed a joyous day for the Yuan Clan. She expressed immense pride in the honor her son had brought, while Yuantong appeared uneasy. Soon after, God of Heavenly Thunder arrived, bearing the Heavenly Emperor's decree. Old Madam Yuan lavishly thanked and flattered God of Heavenly Thunder, hoping he would continue to favor the Yuan Clan.

God of Heavenly Thunder, pleased to assert his authority over Jiuchen, engaged in congenial conversation with her. Haunted by Lingxi's disappearance, Qingyao ceaselessly searched for her. She eventually discovered Lingxi's feathers in a corner of an alley. Following the trail of feathers, she arrived at the Immortal Cleansing Pond, where she found the tiny little phoenix, Lingxi's true form, curled in a corner, barely clinging to life.

As Old Madam Yuan and God of Heavenly Thunder conversed, Ziguang and Fangsheng arrived, escorting a bound Shisan. God of Heavenly Thunder initially intended to send Shisan to Purple Cloud Platform, but considering Jiuchen's upcoming trial there, he ordered her to be held aside for later punishment. Unfazed, Shisan loudly warned them that if they dared to show any disrespect towards Jiuchen's Dragon Tooth Armor during its removal, she would fight them to the death.

God of Heavenly Thunder dismissed her, but at that moment, Jiuchen arrived with Siming and his companions. Jiuchen effortlessly removed Shisan's immortal rope, intending to take her away. God of Heavenly Thunder objected, but Jiuchen calmly stated he would take Shisan to Purple Cloud Platform himself to receive her punishment. Seeing God of Heavenly Thunder hesitant, Old Madam Yuan intervened. She aggressively demanded that Jiuchen swear on his immortal heart whether he had killed her son, Yuanzheng.

After a moment of silence, Jiuchen publicly admitted that Yuanzheng had indeed died by his hand. A gasp swept through the crowd. Old Madam Yuan, now even more indignant, immediately commanded the Yuan Clan disciples to form a battle array and engage Jiuchen in a fight to the death. God of Heavenly Thunder, enjoying the spectacle, merely stated that this was a private matter between the two families and he would not interfere.

In this critical moment, Qingyao rushed in, cradling the still-transformed little phoenix. Seeing Lingxi's severe injuries, Jiuchen immediately began healing her. Lingxi then barely regained her human form, but could only utter "It hurts" before collapsing into unconsciousness once more. Duyu, witnessing Old Madam Yuan's relentless fury, appealed to God of Heavenly Thunder for mediation, but the latter remained aloof. Old Madam Yuan, taking advantage of the situation, declared emphatically that Jiuchen must provide an explanation that day.

Qingyao, unable to tolerate the injustice any longer, deduced that Lingxi's injuries were connected to Yuantong. She immediately produced the war report, telling Old Madam Yuan that since she was so desperate for the truth, she would have it. Yuantong gasped in shock upon seeing the report and attempted to stop Qingyao, but it was too late. The truth of the battle at Dark Capital Mountain was finally exposed to all present.
