Feng Qingchen told Yuan Ling that if they didn't marry into the A'chai tribe, she feared for Duo Xia and Cai Qian's lives. However, Yuan Ling said that if he were to marry, he would betray Feng Qingchen's deep affection, and then would she ignore him? Feng Qingchen firmly said, "No, she doesn't believe that the Saint Sorceress of the Sorcerer Tribe and the future prosperous monarch, working together, cannot win this game."

Yuan Ling also stated that he had always been waiting for a woman who could walk with him, fearless of birth, aging, illness, and death. However, Feng Qingchen worried that she would leave one day. Yuan Ling simply embraced her, saying he would accompany her to live each day well and cherish every single one.

Yuan Zhan questioned Consort Yin, asking how she could marry her own niece to Liang Kingdom, stating it was no different from sending her to her death. Consort Yin, however, stubbornly replied, "For Yuan Zhan, what's wrong with sacrificing Cai Qian? If needed, I myself am always ready to pave the way for Yuan Zhan." However, all Yuan Zhan hoped for was a scene of filial piety and brotherly harmony.

Consort Yin merely said, "If the older brother is not friendly, then the younger brother will not be respectful. One day Yuan Zhan will know the truth and will no longer blame me for being heartless." Minister Yin seized Lord He, who had just taken Consort Yin's pulse, seemingly plotting something.

Lian Fei also sensed this matter but did not intend to stop it, thinking, "If no one does anything excessive, how would my Yuan Ling develop a desire to seize the throne, fulfilling my wish?" Minister Feng, however, said that although the Crown Prince had been deposed, Yuan An still had not appointed an heir. Lian Fei merely told Minister Feng to act carefully and not to meet her directly again.

Inside Li Jing Tian, Lord Mo worried that Tao Yao's help in enabling Yuan Ling and his companions to activate the formation would endanger her life. Tao Yao, however, sighed, "Now that Senior Brother has passed away, that responsibility can only be borne by me. Time and space have twisted, with endless variables. The situation where two stars converging means one must die has now formed.

All we can do is help Prince Ling seize the throne, and when the Saint Lord appears, peace will be established across the four seas." At the Yin Residence, Cai Qian was crying before Minister Yin. Minister Yin, however, told her to prioritize state affairs. Cai Qian was willful yet resolute, stating bluntly that if no one could protect her, she would rather die than marry into Liang Kingdom. She decided to confront the main person responsible.

Late at night, Cai Qian, masked, escaped from the Yin family, intending to assassinate Xiao Xu, but she was stopped by Eleven. Eleven chastised her, saying that even a slight misstep would lead to war between the two nations and cause immense suffering for the people. Cai Qian also felt extremely wronged. Eleven could only embrace Cai Qian to comfort her, vowing that he would never let Cai Qian marry Xiao Xu.

Eleven led Cai Qian to Prince Ling's Residence, where Feng Qingchen and Yuan Ling were already waiting. Feng Qingchen reassured them not to worry, saying she would find a way. Eleven escorted Cai Qian home. Along the way, Cai Qian was full of worry.

Eleven told Cai Qian that Fourth Brother (Yuan Ling) was cold on the outside but warm on the inside, and Seventh Brother (Yuan Zhan) actually cared for her more than anyone else and would definitely not stand by idly. Yuan Li was missing Ming Yan when Yuan Ling suddenly burst in, directly stating that he already knew everything and wanted Ling Long Shi Yuan Li to help Feng Qingchen slow the wilting of her Flower of Life.

Feng Qingchen wondered why Yuan Ling's attitude towards Yuan Zhan had suddenly changed dramatically. She pondered, feeling something was amiss. What could have caused Yuan Ling's transformation while Yuan Zhan remained unchanged? Feng Qingchen immediately went to ask Yuan Li. She suspected Yuan Ling knew something. Yuan Li naturally denied it, instead pestering Feng Qingchen for the Saint Sorceress's blood.

Feng Qingchen encountered a weak and unconscious palace maid and realized that someone was using dark sorcery to drain the maid's vital energy. She immediately found Lord Mo, hoping he would investigate the matter and use the opportunity to prevent the marriage alliance. Meanwhile, Yuan Zhan also told Xiao Xu that Cai Qian was suffering from a serious illness and that there might be hidden complications regarding the marriage alliance. He was eloquent and resourceful, quickly gaining Xiao Xu's trust.

At the East Palace, Yuan Ling and Eleven came to visit Yuan Hao, just as Eunuch Sun delivered an imperial decree. Yuan Hao was re-appointed as Prince Hao, feeling somewhat at a loss for a moment. Mu Kai Sha came to apologize to Duo Xia, admitting he shouldn't have revealed the marriage alliance to Liang Kingdom.

Duo Xia was very sad; she was alone in a foreign land with no relatives, and now even Mu Kai Sha was going to betray her? Just then, Yuan Zhan arrived at the post station. He promised solemnly that he would never let Cai Qian marry into Liang Kingdom, and subtly hinted for Duo Xia to confront Xiao Xu and ask him to leave.

All along, he had only sought peace in the world, but now he had to break this deadlock. Yuan Ling brought Yuan Li to Li Jing Tian to see Tao Yao. Yuan Li produced the Saint Sorceress's blood. Because Yuan Ling and Feng Qingchen were "twin stars," Yuan Ling's blood could be used to nourish the Flower of Life in Feng Qingchen's heart, enduring the pain brought by the flower's wilting on her behalf.

However, this act was tantamount to exchanging Yuan Ling's life for Feng Qingchen's time. Yet, even so, Yuan Ling immediately began to draw blood without hesitation. Yuan Li then cast a spell to forge a jade bracelet, instructing Yuan Ling to give it to Feng Qingchen to wear, to bear the burden of her two flower wilting episodes. Still, they needed to find the spirit stone as soon as possible.

Ming Yan was sitting lost in thought in the dense forest of Li Jing Tian. At this moment, she had changed back into women's attire, with her long hair like a waterfall and her features as beautiful as a painting. Yuan Li quietly appeared behind her. Ming Yan concluded that Yuan Li was hiding something from Feng Qingchen and angrily rushed to tell Feng Qingchen, but Yuan Li pulled her back.

She lost her balance and fell into Yuan Li's arms, their lips touching, their gazes meeting. Both their expressions softened, and Yuan Li could only tell Ming Yan everything about Feng Qingchen. That night, Yuan Li and Yuan Ling returned to the residence. Yuan Ling repeatedly instructed him not to tell Feng Qingchen the truth.

However, Yuan Li told Yuan Ling that as Ling Long Shi, once all the spirit stones were gathered, he would have to return to the Ling Long formation. He and Ming Yan would not have a future, but this timeline must have a good outcome. Otherwise, upon returning to the previous timeline, Yuan Ling and Feng Qingchen would still die unexpectedly. Therefore, Yuan Ling absolutely had to seize the throne. Upon hearing this, Yuan Ling merely said that from the moment he knew why Feng Qingchen had come, he had never hesitated again.
