> Let's Shake It! Season 1 Recap
The Emperor, furious after receiving a blood letter detailing the slaughter of over 1,300 innocent people and the extermination of households in Ye Liangzhen, appointed Song Qing as the Imperial Minister and commanded him to thoroughly investigate the accusations of Tang Jizhong abusing his power. Meanwhile, at the Tang Mansion, Tang Qingye practiced martial arts, surprisingly quickly mimicking Tang Jizhong's moves. Tang Jizhong was delighted by her skill, remarking that his daughter was a true warrior.
Tang Qingfeng, however, found her antics unbecoming of a lady, but Tang Jizhong encouraged a sparring match between his children. Tang Qingye held her own against Tang Qingfeng, further impressing her father. Later, a servant announced that His Highness Lord Jing, Li Yi, had arrived. Tang Qingye immediately tried to flee, claiming Li Yi always made her uncomfortable and said strange things.
Tang Qingfeng pressed her for details, and she blurted out Li Yi's promise to make her empress upon his ascension. Alarmed, Tang Qingfeng urged her to avoid meeting Li Yi, advising that such matters should not be spoken of lightly as they could lead to grave danger. This conversation deeply worried Tang Qingye about the political turmoil, prompting her to begin packing her belongings to escape. However, Xiang Er brought her delicious food, which momentarily distracted her.
Xiang Er then mentioned that the next day was Tang Jizhong's birthday, and with the family in distress, no one was there to prepare longevity noodles for him. Hearing this, Tang Qingye decided to stay and prepare the noodles. Elsewhere, Xiao Zhihe sought help from his sister, Xiao Ruyi, to intercede with the Emperor on behalf of the Tang family.
Xiao Ruyi cautioned him against it, explaining that the Ye Liangzhen case was too sensitive, and the Emperor was enraged; anyone speaking for Tang Jizhong would face severe consequences. Soon after, Tang Qingfeng arrived to discuss the case with Xiao Ruyi. She provided him with detailed records of the Ye Liangzhen incident, which she had obtained from her father.
After reviewing the documents, Tang Qingfeng found the evidence, including eyewitness testimonies describing his father's appearance, to be overwhelmingly against Tang Jizhong, making an appeal incredibly difficult. Tang Qingfeng thanked Xiao Ruyi and prepared to leave. He asked if she knew the location of the witnesses, to which she admitted knowing but couldn't disclose, fearing accusations of collusion. That night, Tang Qingfeng reassured his father, Tang Jizhong, that he would uncover the truth.
He then presented a gouyu, asking about its origin and revealing that it had protected him from a monster during a previous battle. Tang Jizhong, looking at the jade, recalled a scene from twenty years ago: it was a relic left by Tang Qingfeng's birth mother, who entrusted her child to him. Seeing the Tang family's precarious situation, Tang Jizhong decided it was time and revealed to Tang Qingfeng his true parentage.
Feeling distraught and contemplating his newfound identity, Tang Qingfeng wandered into the kitchen. He watched Tang Qingye fumbling with ingredients for the longevity noodles and was struck by the realization that she was not his biological sister. Seeing her struggling, he offered to help. Tang Qingye explained she just wanted to make longevity noodles for their father's birthday, but cooking was difficult for her. Tang Qingfeng realized he had forgotten his father's birthday and felt remorse.
Together, they prepared a large pot of longevity noodles. They brought the noodles to Tang Jizhong, who was deeply moved that his children remembered his special day despite the current hardships. He shed tears of gratitude as he ate the noodles. The next morning, Tang Qingye once again packed her bags to leave the mansion. On her way out, she noticed Tang Qingfeng and Xiao Zhihe acting secretively and decided to follow them.
Tang Qingfeng and Xiao Zhihe covertly entered the residence of the surviving witnesses from Ye Liangzhen, hoping to investigate. However, as soon as they entered, the witnesses immediately recognized and accused "Tang Jizhong." Suddenly, masked assassins appeared and killed both witnesses. Tang Qingfeng and Tang Qingye fought the assassins, and Tang Qingye managed to remove one assailant's mask, revealing a face identical to Tang Qingfeng, which shocked everyone present.
The assassin managed to escape, and soon after, the city guards arrived, immediately accusing Tang Qingfeng of murdering the witnesses. Unable to explain, Tang Qingfeng was forced to hold Xiao Zhihe hostage to facilitate his and Tang Qingye's escape. As they fled outside the city, Tang Qingfeng was struck by an arrow and collapsed. Tang Qingye, with no other option, found refuge for them at a nearby farmstead, under the care of an elderly woman.
Meanwhile, Xiao Ruyi confronted Li Fu, accusing him of orchestrating the framing of Tang Qingfeng. Li Fu denied involvement in the witness's murder, asserting that he needed the witnesses to testify against Tang Jizhong. He warned Xiao Ruyi that the true culprits aimed not only to destroy Tang Jizhong but also targeted Tang Qingfeng. This news deeply troubled Xiao Ruyi. At the Lecture Hall, Li Yi's men apprehended an individual attempting to steal a military payroll list.
Li Yi ordered a rigorous interrogation, determined to uncover evidence of Li Fu's alleged embezzlement. Elsewhere, Minister Ji grew anxious over Li Yi's disappearance, fearing Li Fu's malicious schemes. He reluctantly sought help from Elder Xiao, who feigned ignorance to avoid involvement, frustrating Minister Ji, who then left. An imperial decree was issued, ordering Guo Daren to arrest Tang Jizhong. Tang Jizhong, deeply saddened by the false accusations against his loyal service, acknowledged the Emperor's order.
He pleaded with Guo Daren to spare his innocent family members. Shortly after, a subordinate reported that Tang Qingfeng had murdered the Ye Liangzhen witnesses and fled with Tang Qingye. Guo Daren was enraged by the news. Tang Jizhong fervently defended his son's character, but his pleas were in vain. Guo Daren ordered Tang Jizhong to be cast into prison. Tang Qingye felt conflicted about leaving the injured Tang Qingfeng.
After reflecting on their time together, she decided to stay and care for him. As she worried, Duo Miaomiao transformed into his human form and appeared before her, informing her of the Tang family's arrest and the sealing of their mansion following their escape. Tang Qingye recounted to Duo Miaomiao that the assassin had looked exactly like Tang Qingfeng, which puzzled Duo Miaomiao.
At the Tang ancestral home, Tang Qingyun revisited places Tang Qingye frequented, experiencing a similar sense of loss. Li Yi arrived, pondering Tang Qingye's absence, and found Tang Qingyun in her sorrow. Tang Qingyun appealed to Li Yi to believe in the Tang family's innocence. Li Yi assured her that he would ensure justice for them. At the farm, Grandma Deng meticulously cared for Tang Qingfeng.
Upon seeing the gouyu on his person, she discreetly recognized it, confirming his true identity in her mind. When Tang Qingfeng woke, he grew curious about her knowing gaze. Grandma Deng, feigning ignorance about the gouyu, quickly made an excuse and left. Tang Qingye prepared food for Tang Qingfeng. Duo Miaomiao, still in human form, was present. Tang Qingfeng inquired about Duo Miaomiao, and Tang Qingye fabricated a story to explain his presence.
Duo Miaomiao then asked about Tang Qingfeng's plans. Tang Qingfeng declared his intention to go to Nanzhao to uncover the truth, but worried about how to evade the pursuers and pass through the checkpoints. After deep thought, Tang Qingye broke the silence, proclaiming that she had devised a solution.
