Early in the morning, Xiaowei sang while washing clothes, catching Di Renjie's attention. He gave her some money and asked her to sing another song. Di Renjie guessed that Xiaowei wanted to earn money to find her mother. Xiaowei said her mother taught her to sing and had promised to take her to the capital to become the most famous courtesan, but unfortunately, before that promise could be fulfilled, her mother disappeared half a month ago.

At this moment, Wei Sheng's scolding voice was heard. Di Renjie had a suspicion, so he told Xiaowei to take a note to Commander Xiao for help. After Xiaowei left, Di Renjie revealed his identity and questioned Wei Sheng about what goods he had delivered last night. Wei Sheng was evasive, further confirming Di Renjie's suspicion that he had something to hide and was trying to conceal the truth.

He just hadn't expected Di Renjie to suddenly come to Qingchuan to investigate the case.

Eleventh Mistress saw his compassionate and righteous heart, believing he would be a good official, and thus chose not to continue the entanglement and turned to leave. Precisely because of this, Lang Liu became enraged and wanted to ignite the bitumen box to die with Di Renjie. At the critical moment, Mr. Hulu reappeared and stopped him with a cane. Lang Liu was unwilling as he died, mocking that Di Renjie's insistence on "Ren" (benevolence) was "stupid" in his eyes.

After saying this, he lost his breath, which shocked Di Renjie. Mr. Hulu was also somewhat surprised, stating frankly that he could not stop someone who wanted to die.
