After entering Lingfeng Street, they found the street empty and felt something was suspicious. Cao Yanbing and the two others decided not to waste time and went straight to find the Spiritual Guardian. Upon reaching the Spiritual Guardian's house, they found it was very large but empty except for a woman playing a guqin with her back to the gate. Cao Yanbing greeted her, but she ignored him.

As he was about to step forward, Beiluo stopped him, warning him to be careful because the Tafeng tribe are skilled in mechanisms. Cao Yanbing threw a stone over; there was no reaction. The three of them went closer and found that the person playing the guqin was actually a dummy. The sound of the guqin suddenly stopped, and the three of them fell into a trap. Then, a group of people surrounded them.

It turned out they had accidentally triggered a mechanism set for the Fire King. Beiluo saw his old acquaintance Yan Lingyu and greeted her, but she pretended not to know him. Cao Yanbing told Yan Lingyu that they had no ill intentions and had come to Lingfeng Street this time to find the divine realm to enter the ancient Luhuagou building. Upon hearing this, everyone's faces changed, thinking they were also here to seek treasure in the ancient Luhuagou building.

To avoid affecting their fight against the Fire King, Yan Lingyu had Cao Yanbing and the two others tied up and locked in the prison. Yan Lingyu had Blazing Jade sent over, preparing to take it so she could fight the Fire King, but her daughter Yan Ruofu snatched the Blazing Jade and drank it, offering to go deal with the Fire King in Yan Lingyu's place.

Yan Lingyu didn't want her daughter to go, but Yan Ruofu said only she could go because she was the guide, and even if she couldn't defeat the Fire King, he wouldn't kill her. She could go out and lead the Fire King to the trap. Cao Yanbing heard their conversation and said he could help, but Yan Lingyu didn't trust them and refused.

Yan Lingyu finally agreed to Yan Ruofu's suggestion and let her go out to lure the Fire King to the trap. In the prison, Cao Yanbing and Xia Ling asked Beiluo about his relationship with Yan Lingyu. It turned out that eight years ago, Beiluo came to Lingfeng Street looking for the spiritual essence fragments of Shui'er and met the Spiritual Guardian Yan Tianyue and his sister Yan Lingyu.

Beiluo saw Yan Lingyu teaching Yan Ruofu sword practice and said that if Yan Ruofu couldn't even hold her sword steadily and couldn't summon her Guardian Spirit now, how would she make a living in the Spiritual Crossroads later if she didn't practice properly? Yan Ruofu felt very annoyed upon hearing this; she practiced every day but was still like this, and her mother said the same thing every time, which made her very sad.

She threw her sword and ran off. Beiluo found her and comforted her, saying that if she worked hard to become stronger, her Guardian Spirit would also become stronger, and he was very powerful even when he didn't have a Guardian Spirit, so he believed she could do it too. Yan Ruofu was greatly encouraged by this, and Yan Lingyu was very pleased to see it. Beiluo didn't find his daughter after staying for two months and decided to leave.

Yan Lingyu advised him to let go of the deceased and could start his new life, but Beiluo refused, saying he must find his daughter. Then, they never saw each other again. Cao Yanbing unlocked his handcuffs and got out of the prison to find Yan Ruofu and said he could help her fight the Fire King, and then he hoped she could help guide them.

However, Yan Ruofu said she could handle the Fire King and Lingfeng Street would be fine without his help, and she even used the God Locking Stone to lock him to a pillar. Yan Lingyu went to the prison and found Cao Yanbing was not there. Beiluo told her that Cao Yanbing had probably gone to protect Yan Ruofu and that she shouldn't worry. Yan Lingyu said she had actually recognized him and wasn't deliberately pretending not to know him.

The two resolved the misunderstanding. Yan Lingyu requested Beiluo's help, because she knew Yan Ruofu couldn't defeat the Fire King. She trusted Beiluo, so she hoped he could help. Beiluo said he could help and asked her to unlock the God Locking Stone for him and Xia Ling, but Yan Lingyu refused, saying she couldn't release all three and had to keep Xia Ling as a hostage.

Beiluo was very angry upon hearing this, feeling she wasn't asking for help but threatening him. The two argued intensely. As Yan Lingyu was about to leave, Xia Ling stopped her. Xia Ling suggested that Beiluo stay as a hostage and she could go out to help. The Fire King had captured Elder Mei and provoked the Tafeng tribe to come out, or he would kill him.

Yan Ruofu told the Fire King to release Elder Mei and that she would fight him. She exchanged a few moves with the Fire King and was knocked down. At the critical moment, Xia Ling came out to help.
