Chen Youliang suddenly rushed in and struck Mo Shenggu's chest with a hidden weapon. Mo Shenggu had no choice but to escape with his injuries. Chen Youliang, along with Song Qingshu, relentlessly pursued Mo Shenggu. Mo Shenggu, due to his severe injuries, fell to the ground. Chen Youliang forced him to return and join the Beggars' Sect. Mo Shenggu refused to yield even unto death and vowed to kill Song Qingshu to cleanse the sect's name and preserve Wudang's reputation.
Chen Youliang raised his sword and stabbed Mo Shenggu to death. Song Qingshu was heartbroken and devastated. Zhang Wuji secretly infiltrated the Beggars' Sect headquarters and saw Shi Wenlong gathering the Beggars' Sect disciples, publicly announcing Song Qingshu's joining of the Beggars' Sect and appointing him as a Six-Pocket disciple. Chen Youliang called on everyone to unite against the Ming Cult and ordered Song Qingshu to return to Wudang to administer poison.
The Beggars' Sect would then seize the opportunity to wipe out the Wudang School and then use Zhang Sanfeng and the Wudang disciples to coerce Zhang Wuji into surrender. Chen Youliang brought Zhu Laosi in, forcing him to reveal the strengths of the various factions of the Ming Cult. Zhu Laosi refused to betray his brothers.
