Jinhua Popo came to confront Hu Qingniu, only to find that he and his wife Nan Gu had already committed suicide by poison. Jinhua Popo had waited bitterly for so many years for this day, but he had already ended his own life, so Jinhua Popo left in a huff. Zhang Wuji discovered that Hu Qingniu and Nan Gu were still barely alive, so he asked Ji Xiaofu to help them take two doses of medicine.

Nan Gu quickly woke up, and Hu Qingniu was subsequently revived. The two reconciled as before. Hu Qingniu concluded that Jinhua Popo would return to confirm, so he wanted to leave Butterfly Valley with Nan Gu overnight. Before leaving, Hu Qingniu gave Zhang Wuji the medical books he had compiled throughout his life, and Nan Gu also gave him her treasured poison scripture. The couple left easily.

Zhang Wuji and Ji Xiaofu built a tomb and erected a stele for Hu Qingniu and his wife. Those who were injured by Jinhua Popo cried uncontrollably, and Zhang Wuji promised to heal their injuries and illnesses. With Zhang Wuji's exquisite medical skills and Ji Xiaofu's meticulous care, the injured quickly recovered and left. However, Zhang Wuji's cold poison flared up again. Ji Xiaofu and her daughter stayed to take care of him, and Zhang Wuji's health gradually recovered.

As Hu Qingniu had expected, Jinhua Popo sent her young apprentice, Yin Li, back to investigate and confirm whether Hu Qingniu and his wife were truly dead. Yin Li saw the tomb of Hu Qingniu and his wife and advised Zhang Wuji to leave Butterfly Valley, but he wanted to stay and continue studying medicine and save more people.

Yin Li's stomach was rumbling with hunger, so Zhang Wuji cooked for her and advised her to leave the malicious Jinhua Popo, but she was also helpless. Yin Li truthfully reported Hu Qingniu's death to Jinhua Popo, pleading with her to use her internal energy to save Zhang Wuji, and saying that she would have one more person to command. Jinhua Popo saw at a glance that Yin Li had fallen for Zhang Wuji.

Jinhua Popo brought Yin Li back to Butterfly Valley and saw Zhang Wuji weeping by Hu Qingniu's tomb. She carefully examined Zhang Wuji's injuries and, learning that he was Zhang Cuishan's son, persistently questioned him about Xie Xun's whereabouts, also promising to cure Zhang Wuji's cold poison. Zhang Wuji adamantly refused, stating that his parents willingly sacrificed their lives to keep this secret, and he would die rather than reveal it.

Jinhua Popo decided to take Zhang Wuji to Spirit Snake Island. Zhang Wuji adamantly refused, but he could not escape Jinhua Popo's clutches. Ji Xiaofu immediately rushed to fight Jinhua Popo, covering Zhang Wuji's escape back to Butterfly Valley. Just as Ji Xiaofu was about to lead Zhang Wuji to escape, she was caught by Jinhua Popo. Just then, Miejue Shitai arrived with her disciples. Ji Xiaofu immediately appealed to her master for help.

Jinhua Popo spoke disrespectfully to Miejue Shitai. Ding Minjun, feeling indignant, rushed forward to argue with Jinhua Popo but was knocked to the ground by her. Miejue Shitai and Jinhua Popo engaged in a fierce fight. After a few rounds, Miejue Shitai was defeated. She immediately drew the Yitian Sword and challenged Jinhua Popo, instantly slicing off the head of Jinhua Popo's staff. Seeing the unfavorable situation, Jinhua Popo wanted to leave with Yin Li.

Yin Li forcefully pulled Zhang Wuji along with her. In desperation, Zhang Wuji bit Yin Li's hand hard. Yin Li, with tears in her eyes, followed Jinhua Popo and left. Ji Xiaofu guessed that Yang Xiao had helped her master retrieve the Yitian Sword, but she couldn't say it openly. Ding Minjun ridiculed Ji Xiaofu, and brought up the sect's precepts to question Ji Xiaofu, condemning her for being promiscuous and betraying the sect.

Ji Xiaofu explained in every way possible, recounting in detail her experience of being abducted by Yang Xiao, becoming pregnant, and giving birth. She felt ashamed of her master, which was why she lived in seclusion. Miejue Shitai decided to forgive Ji Xiaofu, but Ding Minjun was unrelenting, forcing Ji Xiaofu to reveal her daughter's name and vigorously inciting that the name "Buhui" (No Regrets) was a testament to her feelings for Yang Xiao.

Miejue Shitai sent her disciples out, wanting to speak with Ji Xiaofu alone. Zhang Wuji and Yang Buhui, hiding outside the door, saw everything clearly. Yang Buhui wanted to rush in, but Zhang Wuji desperately held her back and covered her mouth, fearing any noise.

Miejue Shitai took out the Emei Sect leader's ring and proposed that if Ji Xiaofu lured and killed Yang Xiao, she would give her both the ring and the Yitian Sword, which would be equivalent to passing on the leadership to her. Ji Xiaofu firmly refused to do such an underhanded thing, and clarified that Gu Hongzi died from sheer anger, not killed by Yang Xiao. However, Miejue Shitai was unrelenting, insisting that she kill Yang Xiao.

Ji Xiaofu clearly stated that she would rather die than kill Yang Xiao. Miejue Shitai was furious, grinding her teeth, and struck Ji Xiaofu's head with a palm. She collapsed and died on the spot. Yang Buhui desperately tried to rush in, but Zhang Wuji held her tightly. Ding Minjun incited Miejue Shitai to kill Yang Buhui. Miejue Shitai ordered Yang Buhui to be killed, and Zhang Wuji immediately hid Yang Buhui in a bucket.
