Jing Zhixia woke to find Fu Zeyi gone, leaving her a note stating he had an urgent business trip and would return next week. Suspecting deceit, she resolved to investigate. She called Jian Bufan, asking him to help her find a Dr. Mo at the hospital, emphasizing it was a secret mission. After some searching, they located Dr. Mo Ziqi's office.
Jing Zhixia and Jian Bufan secretly listened as Dr. Mo Ziqi explained to Fu Zeyi that his treatment was irreversible and only one of his two personalities could survive. Fu Zeyi declared that only he would survive. As Fu Zeyi left to get a missing medical record, Jing Zhixia quickly devised a plan. She instructed Jian Bufan to feign a medical emergency to distract Dr. Mo, allowing her to slip into the office.
Jian Bufan comically exaggerated symptoms like shivering, seizures, and foaming at the mouth, successfully drawing Dr. Mo's attention to the "critical" situation and getting him rushed to the ER. Inside the office, Jing Zhixia found Fu Zeyi's medical record, which confirmed her suspicions: he had Dissociative Identity Disorder. The file reiterated that only one personality could survive the upcoming procedure. Alarmed, Jing Zhixia rushed to find Fu Zeyi. Confronting him, she realized he already knew she had discovered the truth.
Fu Zeyi confessed that Lin, his second personality, was the one she had fallen in love with a year ago. Jing Zhixia expressed her confusion over his erratic behavior, saying she always felt he was two different people. She lamented that only Lin truly loved her, while Fu Zeyi brought only manipulation and deception.
Fu Zeyi admitted his initial intent was to acquire Aizhe Hotel but claimed he genuinely fell for her during their time together and wished to protect her. Meanwhile, Ma Shixian confronted Ai Xin, attempting to rekindle their relationship. When he learned she was now with Jian Bufan, he snatched her phone and called Jian Bufan, telling him to stop bothering Ai Xin. An enraged Jian Bufan hung up and went to confront Ma Shixian.
He Bei'er, seeking more publicity, orchestrated paparazzi to capture her at Fu Zeyi's house. Once inside, she started discarding items that belonged to Jing Zhixia, including a sentimental ball, much to Fu Zeyi's annoyance. He angrily pushed her out, telling her that she was the one who didn't belong in his home. He Bei'er, seething, redirected her anger toward Jing Zhixia. When Jian Bufan found Ai Xin and Ma Shixian, he demanded Ma Shixian leave Ai Xin alone.
Ma Shixian, dismissive, called Jian Bufan a child who was only toying with Ai Xin and would never marry her. To everyone's astonishment, Jian Bufan produced a diamond ring, knelt, and proposed to Ai Xin.
