Divine Destiny Episode 30 Recap
> Divine Destiny Recap
Ji Ruochen, with the Demon King totem now visible on his forehead after successfully cultivating the Blue Flames of Nine Hells, still hesitated to destroy the Demon Tower, finding enjoyment in his new power. Zhang Yinyin, noticing his indecision, urged him to open the Shenzhou Energy Map to check on Xixuan's situation. To her dismay, the map revealed that Sun Guo had besieged Xixuan Mountains. Desperate to return and save her parents, Zhang Yinyin pleaded with Ji Ruochen.
Ji Ruochen explained the dire consequences of leaving the Nine Hells: the permanent closure of the passageway to the mortal world, which would prevent him from ever returning and cause Zhang Yinyin to forget him forever. Despite his reluctance for her to leave or lose her memory of him, Zhang Yinyin insisted on returning, emphasizing her duty to her parents, master, and fellow disciples, fearing their massacre.
Moved by her tearful plea, Ji Ruochen agreed to accompany her, vowing to protect Xixuan. He also shared his intention to return to the Endless Sea soon to find a way to suppress Nuwa's Tears, ensuring nothing could separate them. Upon their return to the mortal realm, the passageway from Nine Hells closed permanently as Ji Ruochen had warned, and Zhang Yinyin's memory of him vanished.
They encountered Ji Tianxia, who was overjoyed to see Ji Ruochen alive, believing that as the "chosen one" and "heir to the tribulation," Ji Ruochen could not have died when the Three Realms faced such turmoil. Ji Tianxia, recognizing Ji Ruochen as the Demon King, immediately inquired if the Demon Tower had been destroyed. Ji Ruochen stated he had merely entered and exited, not viewing its destruction as his destined mission.
Ji Tianxia lamented that the peace of the Three Realms was now at risk, explaining that only the Blue Flames of Nine Hells could resolve the Demon Tower's disaster. Ji Ruochen countered, stating that a chess piece, once it becomes the player, would no longer be manipulated.
Ji Tianxia then informed him of the dire situation at Xixuan, where Sun Guo had allied with 36 sects, and the Demon Emperor of the Netherworld had mobilized 100,000 demon soldiers to join the siege. Hearing this, Zhang Yinyin rushed off to save her family and sect. Meanwhile, Gu Qing attempted to persuade Yinfeng to intervene and relieve Xixuan. Yinfeng, however, refused to involve himself in mortal disputes, dismissing the conflict as mere "killing each other."
Despite Gu Qing's earnest pleas, Yinfeng remained unmoved. Gu Qing expressed her despair, acknowledging that her sword was already "covered with blood" from past failures, blaming Yinfeng's distraction for their repeated setbacks. She accused Yinfeng of being the one unable to let go, despite her own sleepless efforts to restore his immortal dharma-laksana. In a moment of frustration, Gu Qing shattered a bluestone pendant, signaling a complete severance of their ties. Yinfeng was left in shock and deep regret.
At the Wuya barrier, the Netherworld Army and forces from Wugou Manor, along with other allied sects, were preparing for a decisive assault on Xixuan Mountains. An Imperial Advisor announced the arrival of 100,000 demon soldiers at the mountain's base, confident in their impending victory. Zhang Yinyin, along with Ling, Qing Yi, Dragon Elephant, and White Tiger from the Endless Sea, arrived at the scene.
Ji Ruochen suggested attempting diplomacy with the Demon Emperor, but Zhang Yinyin dismissed the idea, preferring to capture the leader. She quietly prepared to infiltrate the Demon Emperor's camp. The demon forces soon discovered them and quickly surrounded the group from Endless Sea. The Demon Emperor's allies warned the Endless Sea group to stay out of Xixuan's conflict, offering them rewards if they joined the attack.
Ling recalled his uncle's strict instruction not to let any demons into Xixuan, and Qing Yi expressed excitement for a large-scale battle. Ji Ruochen bravely confronted the Demon Emperor, who mocked him, believing Ji Ruochen had died in Lingxu. The Demon Emperor attacked Ji Ruochen with a knife, but a burst of Blue Flames of Nine Hells erupted from Ji Ruochen's body, protecting him and instantly healing his wound.
Ji Ruochen retaliated with a powerful strike that left the Demon Emperor in agony, struggling to breathe. Now recognized as the Demon King, Ji Ruochen informed the Demon Emperor that his forces were no match for him and urged him to retreat, to avoid being manipulated by Sun Guo and to preserve his position.
Ji Ruochen reminded the Demon Emperor of the past massacre on Tianxing Mountain, where the Netherworld demons were trapped by so-called righteous sects, suffering heavy losses until the Demon Emperor sacrificed thousands of years of cultivation to save them. He then revealed that 21 of the 36 sects currently allied with Sun Guo in besieging Xixuan were involved in that very massacre.
Ji Ruochen challenged the Demon Emperor to explain how he could ally with his "old enemies" and face his fallen demon generals. He asserted that the Demon Emperor was merely acting on personal vendetta and taking advantage of the chaos, arguing that the honorable demon clan should not collude with a "despicable person" like Sun Guo. He warned that if Xixuan's innocence were eventually proven, the Netherworld would bear the same shame as Sun Guo, leaving a lasting infamy.
Convinced by Ji Ruochen's words, the Demon Emperor ordered his troops to retreat. Ling, Qing Yi, Dragon Elephant, and White Tiger celebrated the retreat of the demon army. However, Sun Guo, enraged by Ji Ruochen's unexpected survival and his success in both persuading the Demon Emperor to withdraw and rescuing Senior Sister Bingxian, furiously declared his intent to raze Xixuan to the ground. The Wuya barrier finally shattered, and Sun Guo led the 36 allied sects up Xixuan Mountain.
Ling headed to the front gate, while Zhang Yinyin, along with others, advanced towards the main hall. A member from Zhenwu Temple offered wine to Qingxu's forces, who were allied with Sun Guo. Senior Bingxian appeared, having returned to rescue someone. She acknowledged the need to buy time against the overwhelming enemy. Ji Ruochen joined the fray, reassuring them that as the "banished god" and "heir to the tribulation," Xixuan would endure as long as he was there.
Despite being outnumbered, the Xixuan disciples rallied, vowing to defend their sect to the death, engaging in fierce combat. Meanwhile, some of Sun Guo's allies, fearing heavy losses, began to retreat. Within the strange, maze-like forest of Xixuan, a figure calling himself "Death Reaper" from Xixuan Sect emerged. He confronted an old, cruel pervert who utilized "Fivefold clones" and the "Bowing and Nodding Technique."
The Death Reaper accused this old pervert of betraying their master and mistreating their junior, Yuchan, leading to her death. The Death Reaper, having mastered the Bowing and Nodding Technique to a profound level, avenged Yuchan, stating that the pervert's evil deeds would seal his fate.
