Divine Destiny Episode 27 Recap
> Divine Destiny Recap
Zhang Yinyin, recalling the bracelet, finally recognizes Ji Ruochen as the person she deeply cares for, lamenting how she often forgot him despite their shared journey. She is overwhelmed with pain, and Ji Ruochen, noticing her discomfort and nosebleed, takes it upon himself to venture alone to locate the spiritual cave, hoping to spare her further suffering. Qing Yi stays with Zhang Yinyin, observing a significant decline in her memory.
Zhang Yinyin now struggles to recall not only their experiences with Ji Ruochen but also the reason they came to the Ice Cave and the details of Li Xuanzhen's injury by the immortal flame, which Yuxuan Zhenren had temporarily suppressed. Qing Yi worries that Ji Ruochen faces grave danger alone. One night, Zhang Yinyin is jolted awake by a nightmare.
She recounts a dream where a person she deeply cherished moved forward relentlessly, heedless of her pleas, while she remained trapped, unable to offer aid. Qing Yi, recognizing this as Zhang Yinyin's subconscious concern for Ji Ruochen, suggests they go to Qingyuan Holy Land to assist her junior, Ji Ruochen, who is tasked by their sect with destroying the final spiritual cave. Zhang Yinyin, upon hearing Ji Ruochen is alone, immediately agrees and prepares to depart.
On their way, Qing Yi discovers Dragon Elephant and White Tiger, injured and shaken. White Tiger urges them to quickly go to Ji Ruochen's aid, revealing that Yinfeng has gone to the spiritual cave. Zhang Yinyin rushes to Ji Ruochen's side, where he is engaged in a confrontation. Ji Ruochen, unfamiliar with the surroundings, finds himself at a disadvantage against Yinfeng, who had come fully prepared. Gu Qing tries to dissuade Ji Ruochen from falling into a demonic path.
However, in the ensuing chaos, Zhang Yinyin courageously interposes herself to protect Ji Ruochen and is tragically impaled by Gu Qing's sword. Gu Qing is horrified, having only intended to cripple Ji Ruochen's cultivation to prevent his descent into darkness, unaware that Yinfeng had secretly imbued her sword with a powerful enchantment.
As Ji Ruochen desperately cradles the mortally wounded Zhang Yinyin, she utters a final plea, asking who he is to her, before they both fall into a seemingly bottomless black hole. Qing Yi watches in horror, devastated and blaming herself for failing to keep her promise to Ji Ruochen to protect Zhang Yinyin. Despite the conflict, the spiritual cave remains unharmed, protected by Yinfeng.
The Imperial Advisor, fulfilling his promise, grants Yinfeng the Soul of Immortal Cloud, meant to help Gu Qing restore her immortal dharma-laksana and ascend to the Immortal Realm. The mysterious owner of the Soul of Immortal Cloud warns Yinfeng that it will be useless if Gu Qing retains any mortal attachments.
The Imperial Advisor believes Yinfeng obtained the Soul of Immortal Cloud too easily, but the owner hints at a deeper plan, suggesting Yinfeng will eventually return to him for further assistance. Gu Qing, learning that Yinfeng secretly enchanted her sword to kill Ji Ruochen, is repulsed. She confronts Yinfeng, asserting that she had mastered the Book of Heaven's sixth volume and could have purged Ji Ruochen's demonic flames, allowing him to repent and be protected by Xixuan.
She accuses Yinfeng of orchestrating Ji Ruochen's death for his own selfish reasons. Gu Qing questions the morality of such "gods," perceiving them as no different from demons, and firmly refuses to return to an Immortal Realm built upon such deceit. She confesses her weariness and dismisses Yinfeng, despite his assurances of unwavering support. Meanwhile, the news of Ji Ruochen and Zhang Yinyin's deaths deeply grieves the Xixuan Sect.
Disciples, including Jingxiao, Xinglan, and Xuanbing, gather to mourn at their cenotaphs, vowing vengeance against those responsible. Qing Yi, wracked with guilt, confesses to bringing Zhang Yinyin to Ji Ruochen. Xinglan consoles her, emphasizing Ji Ruochen's genuine affection for Zhang Yinyin. Simultaneously, Sun Guo has gathered powerful allies to launch an assault on Xixuan Mountain, and the Demon Emperor is also mobilizing forces, anticipating a widespread conflict.
Gu Qing, despondent, refuses to resume her cultivation, believing her lost dharma-laksana renders her no different from a mortal. Yinfeng desperately tries to persuade her, reminding her of their hundred lifetimes of trials and the Soul of Immortal Cloud he secured for her to restore her dharma-laksana. Gu Qing, however, doubts her ability to sever all mortal attachments. Yinfeng urges her to try, believing Ji Ruochen's death has already cut her ties.
Gu Qing agrees to make an attempt only if Yinfeng accompanies her back to Wuding River, implying that only there can she truly find release. Yinfeng attempts to restore her dharma-laksana, but Gu Qing's vision of Ji Ruochen quickly vanishes, proving the Soul of Immortal Cloud ineffective. She laments that with Ji Ruochen gone, the pursuit of Tao has lost all meaning. At the Endless Sea, the Master senses the escalating turmoil across the Three Realms.
He expresses his profound sorrow not just for Ji Ruochen, but for the impending chaos that will engulf the world, fearing that even his ancient realm, which he has guarded for millennia, may soon be threatened by the inevitable tide of conflict.
