The morning after Chi Yu's confession, Wen Suxi woke up at Dora's place to find it in disarray. She quickly pieced together the chaotic events of the previous night, realizing she and Hu Dongkai had been quite drunk. Chi Yu, after his declaration of love, had returned to Dora's with her, and she had become happily intoxicated, engaging in wild antics with Hu Dongkai, all while Chi Yu watched her fondly.
Wen Suxi remembered feeling overwhelmingly happy, almost disbelieving the sudden arrival of such joy. Feeling apologetic about the mess, Wen Suxi planned to buy items to compensate Dora. However, Dora informed her that Chi Yu had already gone to the supermarket. Wen Suxi immediately left to find him. They met at the supermarket, where Chi Yu had already picked up her favorite chocolate. Later, as they drove, Wen Suxi felt shy, avoiding Chi Yu's gaze.
Seizing the opportunity, Chi Yu asserted his dominance playfully, telling her, "From now on, you can't leave my sight. You'll need my permission to do anything or see anyone, and you can't think of anybody but me all day every day." Wen Suxi, delighted, asked if he was truly staying. Chi Yu playfully left the decision to her, which prompted her to say that as long as he was with her, any destination was fine.
Chi Yu then tenderly fastened her seatbelt. Their romantic moment was interrupted when they discovered the car was out of gas, forcing them to call a tow truck. Meanwhile, Hu Dongkai woke up and helped Dora tidy the house. He had intended to give up his career there and go abroad to study with Dora, but his company refused to let him leave. He realized with frustration that some things were beyond his control.
Dora encouraged him to stay, assuring him that everything would return to normal after her departure, saying, "After I'm gone for a while, it will." Hu Dongkai, however, countered, "You're overestimating time or underestimating me," emphasizing she underestimated the depth of his feelings for her. Dora responded with a smile and left, leaving Hu Dongkai in a state of confusion. Wen Suxi proposed they go to the movies and cunningly chose a horror film.
While waiting for the movie to start, she casually complained her feet were a little sore from her high heels. Chi Yu, without hesitation, picked her up in his arms, drawing attention and curious stares from everyone around them. Not long into the film, Chi Yu received a text message from Hua Yecheng, requesting his urgent help. Chi Yu had to leave Wen Suxi alone to meet Hua Yecheng.
Hua Yecheng explained that when Chi Yu saved Wen Suxi in the car accident, he not only affected the energy of You You and Wen Suxi's father but also unintentionally implicated another person: Wang Xiaomi. Previously, Wang Xiaomi had secretly admired Lin Haoshu, but after the accident, her feelings intensified, and she began to boldly pursue him. Hua Yecheng attempted to use his abilities to rectify the situation, but his powers proved ineffective on Wang Xiaomi.
He warned Chi Yu that if Wang Xiaomi met Lin Haoshu today, Lin Haoshu would fall in love with her. With his "destiny writing brush" running low on energy, Hua Yecheng urged Chi Yu, as Wang Xiaomi's master, to persuade her to abandon her pursuit, reminding him, "Don't forget who you are. It's our job to correct energy tracks." However, Chi Yu did not assist Hua Yecheng in deterring Wang Xiaomi.
Instead, he encouraged her to seize the opportunity and confess her feelings to Lin Haoshu again. He told her, "no one can change your destiny. You must fight for what you want. You have to believe in yourself. Wang Xiaomi, be brave and love!" Encouraged by Chi Yu, Wang Xiaomi immediately sought out Lin Haoshu. Despite Hua Yecheng's persistent attempts to obstruct her, fate intervened, allowing Wang Xiaomi to finally encounter Lin Haoshu.
She confessed her deep affection for him over a walkie-talkie, describing her love as "having a super incredibly sour candy in my mouth. . . When I just put them in my mouth, it was sour at the beginning. . . but when the sourness reached a point, it'd become bitterness. But I don't fear bitterness." She implored him to "gradually get close to me a little bit." Ultimately, her confession was successful, and they embraced.
Facing this outcome, Hua Yecheng could only accept it. He decided to cherish the remaining time, resolving to stay for Wen Suxi's 30th birthday, which was tomorrow. He called Wen Suxi, who had just returned from the movie, to his home to celebrate her birthday. Overjoyed, Wen Suxi excitedly prepared for her "first date," asking, "He wants a date with me in his home.
