Destiny's Love Episode 33 Recap
> Destiny's Love Recap
Lin Haoshu finally walked into Yiwu Hall, ready to lose his memories of love. Before he proceeded, he turned to Chi Yu and earnestly asked him to ensure Wen Suxi's happiness. Youwu presented a box of incense and instructed Lin Haoshu to light it. He explained that once the incense completely burned away, all of Lin Haoshu's earthly affections would vanish, leaving only ashes.
Youwu offered him a chance to reconsider, but Lin Haoshu, though asking if it would hurt later, received the reply that the present moment was likely the most painful. He resolutely lit the incense, enduring a torrent of childhood memories with Wen Suxi flooding his mind, a final painful goodbye to his unrequited love for her. As the incense turned to ash, Lin Haoshu indeed lost his romantic feelings for Wen Suxi, though other memories remained intact.
His personality became noticeably more cheerful. Chi Yu helped Lin Haoshu move into his new place. While carrying a suitcase, Chi Yu felt a sharp pain in his back, causing him to drop the luggage. He later discovered faint scars appearing on his back. Meanwhile, the curator observed his star map, noting that Wen Suxi's three disasters had concluded, and her energy had returned to its proper state, signifying that "it" was now ready.
Chi Yu received a call from Hua Yecheng, who informed him that Wen Suxi had suddenly fainted due to the shift in Lin Haoshu's energy, but she had since regained consciousness. Hua Yecheng then left after Chi Yu arrived, reminding him to cherish his remaining time with Wen Suxi. He revealed that he would take Chi Yu away on Wen Suxi's 30th birthday, which was the day after tomorrow.
Chi Yu then approached Wen Suxi and delivered the news of his impending departure. Saddened by this, Wen Suxi realized the departure date coincided with her birthday and suggested they finalize their contract termination then, considering it her birthday gift. As she spoke, she experienced another wave of weakness, recalling words similar to those spoken by Ji Wan to Chi Yu in a past life, asking if they would ever meet again.
She expressed a feeling of losing her entire world, leaving Chi Yu with a sense of déjà vu. Concerned by Wen Suxi's increasing weakness, Chi Yu intended to consult the curator to examine her star map. However, Hua Yecheng intercepted him, advising him against knowing too much. He explained that a restored star map would only predict Wen Suxi's future trajectory, making it harder for Chi Yu to leave.
Hua Yecheng emphasized that Chi Yu had already made up for his mistakes, and Wen Suxi's future was no longer his responsibility. He urged Chi Yu to cherish the remaining time, assuring him that once they parted ways, both would be free. Separately, Hu Dongkai picked up Duo La for her final public appearance, openly displaying affection in front of her fans, a gesture Duo La seemed to enjoy. Later, at a coffee shop, Wang Xiaomi sought out Lin Haoshu.
She observed a significant change in him; he had forgotten his romantic feelings for Wen Suxi but retained all other memories and was remarkably more upbeat. Wang Xiaomi felt this change might not be a bad thing for him. Lin Haoshu, meanwhile, explained to Wang Xiaomi that he had given her a bag of his old artworks, hoping to inspire her not to give up on drawing. He even offered Wang Xiaomi a complimentary filter coffee.
Wen Suxi, having called Chi Yu for Lin Haoshu's address, soon encountered Lin Haoshu directly. She again asked him if he had ever liked her. Lin Haoshu playfully dismissed the idea, stating they were like "buddies" who had grown up together, and he would "never dare to lay hands on" her. Relieved, Wen Suxi's long-held guilt was finally dispelled.
Duo La hosted a farewell barbecue on her balcony, inviting Hu Dongkai, Chi Yu, and Wen Suxi, as she planned to study in the UK. Hu Dongkai tried to convince her to stay, but Duo La confirmed all her arrangements were already made. Wen Suxi remarked that it felt like a season of goodbyes, with everyone leaving. This comment revealed Chi Yu's planned departure to Hu Dongkai and Duo La, who were previously unaware.
Hu Dongkai, misinterpreting the situation, confronted Chi Yu, accusing him and Duo La of eloping. Duo La quickly pulled Wen Suxi aside, advising her to actively fight for her love for Chi Yu before it was too late. She then pulled Hu Dongkai into the kitchen, creating an opportunity for Wen Suxi and Chi Yu to talk alone.
Alone on the balcony, Wen Suxi, putting on a brave face, declared that she had everything arranged and Chi Yu could leave without worry. Chi Yu's calm, simple reply of "Okay" infuriated her, leading to an argument. Wen Suxi, expressing her anguish, questioned if she should simply delete all memories of him. She then stormed out. Witnessing Chi Yu's profound pain, Hu Dongkai encouraged him not to live with regrets.
He urged Chi Yu to passionately pursue his love, reminding him that life is short. Empowered by this, Chi Yu rushed out after Wen Suxi. Catching up to her on the street, he confessed his love, declaring, "Wen Suxi, I love you!" He expressed that having missed Ji Wan in the past, he could not bear to miss Wen Suxi now, even if their parting was inevitable. The two then embraced and shared a kiss beneath the starry sky.
